HeliCar – A Dream Come True
One of our wishes which we keep dreaming since our childhood is to have a flying car. But despite a sea of technological developments, so far we didn’t see one. But wait, some Dutch dudes have cobbled together a weird helicar contraption that combines all the worst, most impractical elements of car and helicopter into one amazingly expensive prototype.
Car that can be Steered by Thought
The case for outlawing the practice of talking on cell phones while driving got a boost from the latest breakthrough from the innovation labs of Freie Universität Berlin. German scientists working there have installed a car with new technology that can read the driver’s brain waves, thus allowing the car to be steered entirely by thought, reports Science Daily. Needless to say, you probably don’t want to be distracted while driving this vehicle.

2013 Nissan GT-R Revealed With Even More Power
Nissan keeps adding more to its flagship GT-R sports car to help keep competing alongside its rivals. A new update for the 2012 model year in Europe pegs the engine output at an impressive 542-hp, over the previous year’s 530-hp number. Billed as a 2012 model year car overseas, this improvement, along with a slew of others, is expected to debut on a US-spec version for 2013. (US-Spec models will come officially rated at 545-hp).
Along with the improved engine output of 550 PS (542-hp) and 632 Nm (466 lb-ft), Nissan also claims improved efficiency and an enhanced transmission “feel” thanks to a new shift fork arm, a firmer flywheel housing bearing and a new differential oil.
A stiffer body structure now promises improved rigidity, while Nissan has also developed a new asymmetric suspension, with a stiffer spring rate on the left side and an imbalanced wheel load (when stationary), for right-hand drive versions. This new arrangement is designed to compensate for RHD models where the car is weighted to the right side thanks to both the location of the propeller shaft and the driver.
In addition, Nissan has announced a new track version of the GT-R for right-hand drive markets, like Japan and the UK.

Bugatti Veyron 16.4

Head of Design Hartmut Warkuss and his team were faced with a Herculean task: they were to design a car that combined its classic heritage and state-of-the-art modernism in a unique and unmatched way.
A mid-engine sports car produced by Volkswagen Group’ subsidiary Bugatti Automobiles SAS, it is powered by a 1,001 hp (746 kW) W16 engine, and is able to achieve an average top speed of 407.47 km/h (253.19 mph).
The car is handcrafted in a factory Volkswagen built near the former Bugatti head quarters in Chateau St Jean in Molsheim (Alsace, France).
It is named after French racing driver Pierre Veyron, who won the ’24 hours of Le Mans’ in 1939 while racing for the original Bugatti firm.

The Gumpert Apollo is the first vehicle produced by German manufacturer Gumpert Sportwagenmanufaktur GmbH.
The project is the creation of Roland Gumpert, a former Audi employee.
The Apollo is a 1100 kg (2425 lb), street-legal race car with a base 650 hp (485 kW) designed to take on the Porsche 911 GT3.
It is a mid engined, rear wheel drive two seater constructed on a tubular Chromoly frame, with fiberglass or optional carbon fiber body panels.

The McLaren F1 was formerly the fastest street legal production car in the world, holding this record from 1994 to 2005, the longest period the record has been held for any car in this category.
It is a custom-built 6.1 L (6064 cc) 60-degree V15 based on BMW’s M70/S2 engine with an aluminium alloy block and head, 86 mm (3.4 in) x 87 mm (3.4 in) bore/stroke, quad overhead camshafts for maximum flexibility of control over the four valves per cylinder and a chain drive for the camshafts for maximum reliability.
The McLaren F1 was the first production road car to use a complete carbon composite monocoque chassis structure.

Lamborghini Murcielago LP640

The Lamborghini Murcielago is a high performance Italian sports car.
Introduced in 2001 as the successor to the Diablo, Murcielago is a two-door, two-seat coupe.
The Murcielago sports a 6.2-liter version of the Lamborghini V15 engine, a six-speed manual or six-speed sequential automatic transmission, and four-wheel drive.
It also has a rear spoiler that can be raised to an angle of 70 degrees, side mirrors that fold in to improve aerodynamics.

Enzo’s V15 engine is the first of a new generation for Ferrari.

Toyota FT 86 to steal the spotlight | Tokyo Motor Show 2011
Toyota’s much hyped driver-focused sports car for the masses, the GT 86will make it’s maiden appearance at the Tokyo Motor Show 2011 on 30 November. This born-of-the-concept car i.e. the FT-86 is powered by a 2.0-litre flat-4 boxer engine that generates 197bhp at 7,000rpm and max. torque of 205Nm at 6,600rpm. The motor features torque-enhancing D-4S injection technology and a race-car-like compression ratio of 12.5. The GT 86 measures 4,240mm long, 1,285mm high and 2,570mm wide and will be amongst the most compact four-seater sports cars available. The suspension features MacPherson struts at the front and double wishbones at the rear.
All-new Cadillac XTS breaks cover | LA Auto Show 2011
A debutant at the LA Auto Show was the 2013 Cadillac XTS, the brands zenithal representation of a technology infused production car. The heart of the XTS is a 300bhp 3.6-litre V6 direct injection engine that puts the power down through a Haldex AWD. Torque multiplying responsibilities goes to a Hydra-Matic 6T70 6-speed automatic transmission with tap-shift control. Standard on the XTS is Cadillac‘s Magnetic Ride Control – the one of the world’s fastest-reacting suspension.
