➡ Ben and Rob host a show where they discuss various topics such as scientists replacing bad memories with good ones, predictions for 2026, thought manipulation, and consciousness studies. They also have segments like the Bendela effect, metaphysical minute, and top 10 weirder news of the week. In one episode, they discuss a mysterious light seen by hikers in Mexico and a possible spelling change of Bismarck, the capital of North Dakota. The hosts also mention a new therapy called “Eternal Sunshine” that could potentially alter memories.
➡ The text discusses a recent episode of a metaphysical show that explores the mystery of the Bunyip, a cryptid creature from Australia. The Bunyip is described as a mix of various animals and is known to dwell in the lagoons of Southeast Australia. The show also delves into the possibility of manipulating memories, using a combination of drugs and cognitive behavioral therapy, which could potentially help restore lost memories in Alzheimer’s patients. However, there are concerns about the potential misuse of this technology, such as manipulating memories to sell products.
➡ The text discusses the possibility of using technology to implant artificial memories into people’s brains, potentially as a form of rehabilitation for criminals. This concept, while currently theoretical, is being researched and could transform how society deals with offenders by focusing on rehabilitation rather than punishment. However, the idea raises many ethical questions and concerns about the potential for misuse or manipulation of memories.
➡ The text discusses the concept of brain implants that can decode a person’s inner voice, raising concerns about privacy. The technology, while potentially beneficial for those unable to speak, could unintentionally reveal private thoughts. The text also highlights the risk of tech companies potentially accessing these inner monologues without consent. The boundary between private and shareable mental content is becoming increasingly blurred due to this technology.
➡ Chinese researchers claim to have developed software that can analyze facial expressions and brainwave activity to understand how someone feels. This has led to speculation that the Chinese government is using this technology to monitor its citizens. Meanwhile, people have reported instances where they think about something and then see an ad for it on social media, suggesting that our devices might be “reading our minds”. The article also discusses predictions for the future, including the rise of AI and smart technology in our homes.
➡ Jill M. Jackson, a renowned psychic, has made several predictions for the future. She believes there will be a new Nickelback album in 2026, global disasters will increase, and people will feel an urge to move from their homes due to shifts in Earth’s energy grids. She also predicts ongoing wars beyond 2026, escalating tensions in Ukraine and Russia, and job losses due to economic and AI developments. Lastly, she anticipates a roller-coaster-like period of ups and downs.
➡ The text discusses future predictions such as a global government, one universal language, and medical advancements potentially curing all diseases. It also mentions the past expectations of stem cell research leading to a cancer cure, and the confusion when this didn’t happen. The text ends with a transition to a different topic, discussing potential locations for the Garden of Eden.

Sam, It’s. Welcome to the show with Ben and Rob. Time travel with us through the past and to the future on this edge of Wonder Live. Yeah, scientists are working to replace past bad memories with good ones via literature. Really? An internal sunshine therapy. Also, if you haven’t seen that movie, we’ll explain it. But 2026 could be a wild year of predictions from as far back as the 1920s. And even Simpsons episodes prove to be true. Thought manipulation, consciousness studies, and interstellar visitor 3i atlas are just some of the topics we’ll dive into tonight. Yeah. Also tune in for the weekly Bendela effect or the Mandela effect and the metaphysical minute seg comments then.

That’s a lot of M’s right there. I just realized that exclusively on Rise TV during the Dig Deep Live Q A, you can ask us your questions directly in our exclusive Rise chat that we have only on Rise TV. And then finally, in the fan favorite top 10 weirder news of the week. Hear hilarious and bizarre stories to end the week on a high note, a wild note or a weird note. And as always, we’ll see you guys out on the edge. It’s like I Friday. It’s weird. It doesn’t feel like. It didn’t feel like a Friday to me.

And I don’t even know we are doing the show. And I don’t know, it’s just. I’m like, oh, yeah, tomorrow’s Saturday. And weird. I don’t know. This week. This week went by really, really fast, so we’ll see. And a lot going on. News everywhere. A lot going on. Speaking a lot going on. I wanted to show this first. There was a weird mystery light that hikers in Mexico recorded. So I thought this was kind of actually. Yeah. What is going on here? Oh, yeah. Okay, There it is. Is that. Oh, that’s in this. They’re like in the mountains, I guess, right? Yeah.

Okay. I thought that was a lake at first. And they captured this weird. I guess they. It sent them running. Oh, wait, Lindsay, you have to play the audio because there’s like some weird things going on in the audio. You don’t have to go back from the start. Just play it. Yeah. What is it? A ufo? Hey, what’s the guy on the motorcycle? Dude, True. It looks really faint. Dude, it looks like a cell phone. No, he’s coming this way. Dude, he’s coming this way. Not sure what it is. It could be a cell phone, flashlight.

It’s coming this way. Something like that. Yeah. We gotta hurry up. They’re higher up. Dude, What the heck? What is that? This is a weird. Yeah. They said they heard a chilling laugh here. What do they think it’s like a rake or something? They thought. I. They weren’t really sure. There was this light moving toward them in the darkness. And upon reaching higher ground, one of the witnesses began filming it. And then all of a sudden, they just decided to leave the area and run around. They heard. After they heard a nightmarish laugh. That’s weird. I have no idea, like, what that could be.

So they were pretty high up in the mountains, and I guess that they were. They were thinking something was following them. It’s always hard with these things, whether these are real or, you know, people are just doing this for show. But I. I mean, that will. It’s kind of. You can’t really explain where the light is coming from, so I don’t know. That’s kind of. It’s just kind of crazy, so. Right. Yeah. Especially the laugh. I don’t even know what to think about that. Yeah, the laugh was super weird. Lindsay, can you play that one more time? The laugh was like.

Yeah, where the laugh was, It’s like. Oh, yeah. Fast forward a little bit. You think they’re not gonna follow on the motorcycle, dude. True. It looks really faint, dude. It looks like a cell phone. No, he’s coming this way, Dude. He’s coming this way. Yeah, I guess it would be following up them. Like they’re walking up a trail or hiking up a trail, and I guess this thing is, like, following this way. Isn’t he? Right. They’re thinking it’s just like. Yeah, we gotta hurry up. They’re higher up, dude. Oh, man. What is that? Higher up, dude.

It’s kind of weird. I mean, the other option is it could just be other hikers that are following and just, like, drunk or something and making loud noises. But it is kind of weird, though. Oh, no. Anyway. Yeah, I mean, it looked like a cell phone flashlight or some or. Yeah, it could have been. But the laugh was creepy. I definitely agree with that. Very creepy. All right, why don’t we get into this week’s Bendela effect? This one is weird. Yeah. All right. To be honest, I didn’t really know what the capital of North Dakota was, but when I did find out what it was.

Bismarck. Bismarck, yeah. Okay. And then I was like, oh, yeah, that’s right. Bismarck. How do you spell Bismarck, Rob? B, I, S, M, A R, C, I think, or M A R, K. So most. It’s an S. It’s not a Z. I Think. Yeah, no, it’s B I S. Most people remember it as B I S M A R K. And that sounds right to me. Oh, it’s got a ck. Okay. I mean I’m not a speller. Well, here’s what’s weird is that there’s lots of places where it’s spelling it with MrK. That’s just one example.

And I found multiple examples in old newspapers spelling it without the C. And this is the part that blew my mind though. Lindsay, can you click on this next link? So this is enjoyyourparks.com and it goes through different parks. You can clue, you can choose your state and it will go through like oh, here’s different parks in your state. And look what it says. Bismarck without the sea. Why would you, if you lived in Bismarck, would you spell it wrong? Yeah, that. So this is weird. I almost feel like this is like a brand new Mandela effect where things are not even, haven’t even changed yet.

I, I asked AI specifically, you know, did a Google search if at any point in time that Bismarck was spelled without the C and no, the official spelling of Bismarck is always been with the sea. What AI did you use? I, I just asked, I asked Google, General Google and I asked Gro as well because it’s named after a guy, Otto von Bismar and his last name is ck. So they’re like it’s always been with the ck even though there is countless spellings that I’m finding with Bismarck without the sea. So very strange this one. Very strange.

I, I’m just curious. Whatever. You know, obviously if you live in the city of Bismar or you live in North Dakota, I mean you’re probably going to remember it with the sea and be like oh yeah, these are all just misspellings. But it’s very strange that, you know, this website all about different parks specifically with North Dakota is talking, you know, spelling it without the C. So I just feel like this, this could be a brand new Mandela effect and that we’re seeing all these remnants left over because things haven’t switched over yet. So I don’t know.

I, I mean with the sea just looks wrong for me. But you know, I’m not really that familiar with Bismarck. I couldn’t really tell you much about the city. Otto von Bismarck was a German guy, I’m assuming. I guess so it has never. Yeah, those German names just fascinate me. You can go from it starts off so strong, Otto Vaughn and then ends with Bismarck. At least abysmal name. This guy look at this guy. Oh man. Very strange. I would not want to get into a fight with that dude. I don’t care how old he is.

There’s a lot of people on. On Facebook though, on different forums, like all chatting about this. Like this one really confused a lot of people because a lot of people don’t remember it with the C. So very strange. I’m just kind of curious what you guys all remember, which is going to kind of tie into a little bit more of this episode with changing our memories or the eternal sunshine. What I want to say procedure. So we’ll get into what that means here in a little bit. Is that our name for it or theirs? No, that’s.

That’s there. That’s actually the. The scientist that interesting came up with the paper. He. They. They’re calling it like eternal sunshine in quotes. Like treatment. Now I don’t know about treatment, but something with procedure or something like that. Therapy. Eternal sunshine. Therapy is the word that they use. This is a total recall stuff. Yeah, completely. And there’s a lot of things to back it up too, that maybe they’re already doing this without our knowledge. So this article I found was really pretty wild and I found a. Another document that goes into detail about it too. But before we get it.

Yeah, there we go. I’m drinking. I’m drinking so much coffee right now. I feel like Arnold’s expression in this image. That was me earlier. Get to the coffee. All right. Anyway. All right, Rob, why don’t you get there. You have your metaphysical minute and. You know, I was thinking about this one and we don’t hear enough from. From Lindsay, I think. So I kind of want her to go over what the contents of our Bunyip episode are on Metaphysical. This week we had an interesting episode that dropped all about the strangest cryptid down under the Bunyip.

Lindsay, tell us, tell me. Tell us a little bit about this. Sure. Well, I feel like your thumbnail this week isn’t a bad way of depicting it because nobody knows exactly what it looks like. Some people seeing this being in Australia are seeing a part seal like creature that can dive into the depths of. Partly it’s almost like a dogman wolf like with long spanielish ears. Partly it’s panther like. And there was one more animal. I don’t remember what it was. A seal. I said that one seal. A mountain lion or a mountain or a cat.

Yeah. And then they. They even say something about it having webbed feet or something too. Right. Like hangs around in swamps Victims into the lagoons of Australia. That’s terrifying. Really knows from modern photos or anything, but there’s so much documented that you went over, you know, from far back in the past till modern times. And apparently there are panthers in Australia where there are not supposed to be any. So maybe there’s also a Bunyip. That’s what it’s called, even though it’s ridiculous sounding. What does the name come from again? I forget. I. I was just going over.

I think some drunk Australian was just like, oh yeah, mate, it’s the Bunya. You see, the Bunion, mate. Sounds like a Pokemon creature. Those cracks me up how like innocent the names were for some of these things. The farther back you go, you know. Yeah, it’s true. You want me to play that intro or are you gonna move on? No, you can go ahead. Australia. A devil, an evil spirit was known to haunt the swamps and lagoons. A black shadow that was one of the last few survivors of some otherwise extinct race. Aboriginal mothers warned their children not to go near the water.

And still skilled hunters refused to bathe, fish, or even drink from certain watering holes. To outsiders, the bizarre part was this Bunyip creature’s description. A large, lurking, enormous black animal with a terrible voice that created terror. Some accounts described a demonic canine swamp creature. Some even made it sound like an amphibious panther. But all accounts indicated this black beast could swim up on its prey and pull it down into the depths to be lost to the surface forever. These terrifying with the Bunyip go back to the early 1800s. So I had to wonder, what were all of these people seeing? Should we really be so arrogant to think that Aboriginal people are just superstitious and can’t tell a swimming panther from a monster like beast? That’s a danger to their families.

Especially since there are no panthers in Australia. After countless nights researching and talking to people who’ve seen strange things they couldn’t explain, one thing I’ve learned is that cryptid encounters and paranormal events aren’t just things of nightmares. They’re real. And shockingly, stories of the Bunyip overlap with some of the most amazing accounts I’ve ever heard. Let me ask you, what if Bigfoot, Dogman and the Swamp Thing were combined into one cryptid only ever spotted in the lagoons of Southeast Australia? If you think this thing’s name is silly, you won’t after you hear terrifying cases from the 1800s and tales of other wild beasts in Australia.

Join me. Investigative researcher Rob Counts for a metaphysical show that’s out of this world. Oh, yeah. Pretty cool, Bunyip. I mean, if, if there’s a weird cryptid anywhere in the world, I would say two places. I would, I would, I would never think that. I would always think that Australia would be the number one place in Africa, maybe a close second. You know, I can see that too. Yeah. That’s why, like, it doesn’t sound like something from Australia. Yeah, but yeah. Yeah, I’m sorry. All right, well, why don’t we show a trailer and we get back, we’ll start talking about the Eternal Sunshine Therapy stuff.

Monsters of the seas were long thought to be myths, but some magic hunters sought power for themselves, believing that old legends held secret truths. Why did the famous occultist Aleister Crowley make his home on Loch Ness, which later became famous for its elusive creature? Why are there so many paranormal sightings in the area? What other creatures of the deep have been spotted in Scotland that are largely ignored or considered local folktales? The human mind enjoys impressive visions of unearthly creatures. Now then, the sea is precisely their best medium, the only setting suitable for the breeding and growing of such giants, next to which such land animals as elephants or rhinoceroses are mere dwarf dwarves.

Find out what creatures may be a lot closer than 20,000 leagues under the Sea. Join Edge of Wonder for a deep dive into the Cryptids of the abyss. Foreign. That’s our exclusive content only on Rise TV that you can get access to by subscribing to us and keeping the lights on and, and helping us to continue to produce this awesome content for y’. All. Yeah, it’s just $12.99 a month and you get access to over a thousand videos that we’ve done over the last eight years that will knock your flipping socks off. So true, so true.

And yeah, enough content on there to last for, well, a lifetime. Ben. Yeah. All right, let’s talk about Eternal Sunshine Therapy. Yeah, so this was a, this, this neuroscientist propose this whole idea and so basically they’re looking at trauma and see, you know, your. Some traumatic memory is affecting you. Could they alter it, change it, delete it, do something to that extent. And, and they’re also looking at the Alzheimer’s disease and looking at people who had it. So there was a book written about how to change a memory and this was written by Professor Steve Ramirez.

And in the book he explored a realm of science so advanced that basically it was only in sci fi movies like Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and Total Recall. And for those of you who haven’t seen Eternal Sunshine. Actually, I really enjoyed that movie. But it’s essentially about how a guy, which is Jim Carrey. Jim Carrey. Oh, my God. It was like his name just went out of my mind. How he, he, he has his memory erased because he wants to forget his, like, former ex girlfriend and who already went through the procedure. And then it’s like, you know, then he starts realizing he doesn’t want his memory erased.

And then he’s like, it’s going through his whole mind through the second half of the movie where he’s trying to hold on to these memories and then this whole thing kind of unfolds, which is pretty interesting movie. Very original. At least it was when it came out. But so they were, they were literally looking at this and they were, they used mice and they, they actually had some effects using mice. So they, him and his. How do they know? Did they talk to the mice? Did the mice tell them that the memory had changed? Well, what they, what they were doing was.

It says here that they were able to locate memories in mice using brain cells. Activity activated by light. So they could tell by the light which ones were memories and certain cells that they were, they were focusing on. His team has then manipulated them by implanting false memories and reclaiming lost ones again. This is why they started doing this for, like, all people who had Alzheimer’s and things like that, where they’re like, can we bring back memories that they’ve forgotten? He said the results have been pretty amazing, suggesting the same might be possible in humans. He explained researchers have been able to successfully restore a memory that was thought to be lost forever.

So that really begins shaking the foundations of what we think when we think of memory. According to Ramirez, the key now lies in how memories are stored and recalled in our brains. He says to manipulate memories, a combination of drugs and cognitive behavioral therapy could be used. However, he states, there could always be room for abuse. He said one potential problem is that people might manipulate memories to sell products, just like how today that 5 second AD you see on social media grows in your head like a seed until it becomes a decision. If we know all that information is encoded in the brain, even to the point of guiding behavior, we could hope that this knowledge is used for the greater good.

How, as opposed to selling products for marketing. I feel like they’ve already been doing this with marketing, so. But, you know, it’s kind of interesting because one of the things that I’ve been really looking deep into, you know, in the past year or so has really Been like these microchips in the brain where, like, you know, where we don’t know, where people don’t know that they have them. And then it turns out they, they do. And one of the big concerns is, is it able to imprint false memories? We even, we even did this, you know, we had our old World Order series that, our documentary series that we, we had, and we had Desiree Foley on there and with documents that she provided to us about her chip that, that was there.

These are some of the things that, that these targeted individuals do talk about that are, you know, and, and then you, then it’s like, you know, granted, I, I think with the Mandela effect, there’s, there’s multiple things going on. Things are definitely changing. You know, you can’t have millions upon millions of people who all remember one thing. Now all of a sudden, you know, it’s like, oh, yeah, we’re, we just have a massive memory loss. It’s like, no, no, no, something, something is really going on here. But at the same time, you know, individual memories of certain things could be targeted in that way.

So that’s the scary part, you know, so then it’s like you think back on your past and it’s like, did this really happen the way that I remember it, you know, and that’s where it gets kind of like in this weird feeling thing. Well then, and it mentions products. And I want to get into that part a little bit later because, because I, I, I want you to kind of like, you know, what do you think, Rob, of all of this? Everything I’m saying, everything I’m reading, just about the, about the eternal sunshine technology or. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

I mean, like, what, what’s your thoughts about it? I, what I think is so interesting about it is, you know, we’ve had, I’ve been thinking a lot about MK Ultra recently. MK Ultra is the, you know, honestly, a limited hangout to some extent. Because the way that the government portrays MK Ultra as, it was just this experiment with, with psychedelics and human beings to see how they could control human beings and make them lose memories and all of that stuff. Then you, you start thinking about the Manchurian Candidate and what happened in that film. Because the film wasn’t, it wasn’t just a film.

I mean, this was, this was, was based in some fact at least. Right? I think that the real technology is being used behind the scenes for a long time and probably government agencies, intelligence agencies that use it don’t really care what the private sector is doing too much. Because if the private sector does develop and, or come to the conclusions about how they can replace memories. It’s all just happening in the private sector. Like, who cares? Because that looks like it just developed a couple of months ago. Right. But from what I can see, if the events of Montauk project were true, which, you know, John and I certainly determined that it was, Preston Nichols was definitely.

And a bunch of other guys were taken through a program that totally replaced, not just wiped their memory, but replaced with false memories, what they were doing at certain times. And it took them years to get their memories back. And not all of them came back. So I think that, I think that what’s funny about this is that if the private sector is creating certain technologies that can do that, maybe it’s a lot easier than we thought. And so the government or intelligence agencies having access to even more powerful than technology than that is not out of the realm of possibility.

That’s what I think too. I mean, if they’re already working on this or researching this and they’ve already achieved this with mice, you know, like some neuroscientist with his, with his, you know, lab partners and everything, it’s like, my gosh, what is, what has the military already been doing with this? You know, if this is going public now, I mean, this is probably, you know, and if they declassified MK Ultra and they’re talking about this from the 70s, it’s like, okay, clearly they’re not using drugs and things now. You know, like now it’s all technology based, I feel.

But I think that’s what’s so, that’s what’s so funny about the documents that came out about MK Ultra is it was really limited to just certain types of medication or chemical substances. But they didn’t at all talk about all of the experiments that they’ve done with frequencies to achieve the same results. And I think that’s, that’s the secret is that I think why you don’t have to use, you don’t have to use chemical medications or things like that. You know, frequencies could potentially be the, the real, the real technology that they use to, to create that situation.

Yeah. Lindsay, can you jump down here to. Well, okay, actually we can just go in order here. So this is, this is, I mean, I’m not putting much thought into or, you know, they’re not doing this yet. I want to show this video, but this is potentially what could be in the future for prisoners. And I did find a paper that does support the ideology behind this. So, Lindsay. Yeah. If you Want to show a little bit of this video. And the guy that, that does this, he’s this tech guy that’s always coming up with these, like, kind of more super big ideas.

Like, he’s the one that came out with like the, the Matrix thing where like robots growing human babies. And it’s like, well, this is all conceptual. And this is still all conceptual. This is not happening. This isn’t like a plan to implement this. However, behind the scenes, there does seem to be something that the military is doing, something behind the scenes related to what we’re going to see here with the prisoners. Facility designed to treat criminals like patients. Instead of spending years in an actual prison cell, prisoners could finish their sentence here in just a few minutes.

Cognify could someday create and implant artificial memories directly into the prisoner’s brain. These complex, vivid and lifelike memories are created in real time using AI generated content. Depending on the seriousness of the subject’s crime and their sentence, the memories could be tailored to the rehabilitation needs of each subject. The artificial memories implanted by Cognify would be seamlessly incorporated into the existing neural networks of the brain, preventing cognitive dissonance and ensuring the subject experiences the memories as if they were real. The Cognify concept offers a new approach to criminal rehabilitation, transforming how society deals with offenders by focusing on rehabilitation rather than punishment.

First, the prisoner is given a choice either spending tens of years in a prison cell or seeking fast track rehabilitation through artificial memory implantation. If the prisoner chooses to undergo fast track rehabilitation, the Cognify device is used. Next, the prisoner undergoes high resolution brain scanning to create a detailed map of their neural pathways. This brain map helps guide the Cognify device to target specific brain regions responsible for memory, reasoning and logical thinking, such as the hippocampus, prefrontal cortex, amygdala, parietal lobe and anterior cingulate cortex. Okay, target brain regions are identified. Yeah, it’s quite long. We can, we can pretty much stop it here.

But I mean, you got. You get the idea of what’s going on there. And I mean, right now, like I said, it’s all purely conceptual. You know, this is all like real life, Total Recall, Minority Report kind of things, you know, but. But they are trying, they are experimenting with this and there is research behind it. And I did find a paper that actually goes into the research behind this and titled Artificial Memories in Prison in Prisons. A Futuristic Approach to Rehabilitation. And they’re really trying to do something about this, this organization and the people behind this who studying this because, yeah, I Mean, the problem, I mean, and I 100% agree, the problem with our prison system is it’s not, it’s not a rehabilitation center.

It’s. It’s there. No, Lindsay, you can keep that up. I’m. I’m going to start. I’m going to talk about a little bit. But it, you know, it’s there for punishment. And, you know, I remember watching this documentary. They were doing a. I can’t remember which prison it was, but they were doing a study where they introduced meditation with, to these prisoners. And like, every day there was a teacher that would come in and meditate with prisoners. And after a year, so many of them, like, had this fundamental shift and they were like, if I was doing this before I was like, you know, before I was in prison or before I was like a criminal, I wouldn’t be.

I wouldn’t have become a criminal. Like, it would have stopped me from making these crimes, you know, And I remember thinking, like, this is great. Like, more prisons need this kind of stuff. But this paper kind of explores this idea to imprint memories in the brain and to try to do this in a, In a way that’s, you know, but I mean, this does bring up tons of ethical questions, which is why we probably won’t see this implemented anytime soon. But. And also how exactly in the methods they’re doing it, all of it. You know, there’s so many questions behind this, but.

But I think it’s an interesting concept, but. Yeah. Does it work? Sometimes you see something and you’re just like, this is not going to go well. Yeah, I, I know that that’s kind of. But. But they’re, They’re. One of the things that we did find was that there was court officials, government court documents came out, and a lot like the prisoners that are being released out of Rikers Prison in New York, many of them were implanted with chips without their knowledge of it. The question is why? You know, keeping tabs. I don’t know. It’s hard. Data collection.

Data collection, you know. So I think in some, at some level, that’s what I mean. I think the government, or not necessarily the government, but more of like black op, military stuff, you know, military industrial complex kind of things are always. Are already doing at this level of stuff and research and experiments, but, you know, without the, the, the knowledge of the general public and for anyone that’s like, well, I kind of find that hard to believe. Then it’s like, well, look back at MK Ultra, where they were just like dosing random people At L with lsd, at like schools, universities, offices, businesses, you know, without anyone’s knowledge.

Now it’s just like, oh, yeah, we can just put in shipping people. And it could be very easily done in today’s world now. But, you know, going back into. So I was, I was finding more stuff too on like brain implants. And there was a study also, like an experiment done with blame brain implants that decode a person’s inner voice. So this, this one, this article on. The more I kept looking into it, it’s more talking about recording brain activity than. Than anything. So that’s why. Let’s move on. Yeah, we’ll move on to this one because this is crazy.

And Rob, if you want to read a little bit of this, you can here in our doc. But this is literally. So what they were trying to do to kind of set it up here is that they were looking at people who aren’t able to speak, you know, have some kind of, you know, whatever handicap ability or an accident where they’re not able to speak. So they’re like, maybe we can put like a chip in them and then help them. But what they were finding is that they’re having a hard time deciphering a person’s inner voice and what they wanted to say.

So go ahead and look at this, Rob. You can read a little bit of it. Yes. So this is. The article is. Brain implants that decode a person’s inner voice may threaten privacy. A person can bite their tongue to avoid blurting out a secret. But a surgically implanted brain computer interface can reveal words that were never meant to be spoken. NPR’s John Hamilton reports on a new study that looks at the privacy concerns raised by technology that decodes signals in the brain. Brain Computer interfaces, or BCIs, are experimental devices that can restore a paralyzed person’s ability to speak.

So here’s some issues, I guess one is accidental leakage of private thoughts. Inner speech brain patterns are remarkably similar to but weaker than those for attempted speech. This overlap means the BCI couldn’t unintentionally pick up and decode words or thoughts the person never meant to communicate. Researchers asked if inner speech is similar enough to attempted speech, could it accidentally leak out when someone is using a bci? In one experiment, during a simple counting task, the BCI detected and decoded numbers. Participants were only thinking, not intending to output. This blurs the line between private thoughts and public communication.

So in other words. Oh, go ahead, go ahead. No, that’s all right. Oh, well, I was Just gonna say. So in other words, it’s like, you know, let’s say you’re counting the 10. Or you have. You have. You have things that you’re counting, right? Like 1, 2, 3. And then all of a sudden, you start thinking of just, like, random numbers for whatever reason. And then. And. But it’s like you’re not counting those numbers. It’s like you’re thinking, 1, 2. And then all of a sudden, like, the number 77 flashes in your mind. Maybe you’re remembering something as you’re, like, counting these things.

And that number 77 was, like, appearing in these examples when. When they were testing these. So it’s kind of. That’s a little bit weird and invasive when you think about it. So. Well, it’s also a lot like the Minority Report, where these psychics predict someone’s death or implant a memory that could or may not be there, and then someone’s getting blamed for something that they did or didn’t do. Exactly, Exactly. People are crazy. They think all kinds of thoughts. But whether you act on the thoughts is kind of critical. Well, that’s exactly it. Like going into number two here, the, like, difficulty controlling the inner voice.

And it’s like people don’t have a full conscious control over their inner monologue. So you could have, like, wandering thoughts, random words pop up, or just mental chatter, all kinds of stuff. Right. You may start, like, thinking negative things about somebody, and it’s like, well, but that, you know, or. Or you want to do something negative. And it’s like, does that mean that, you know, you’re obviously not going to act on that if. If you’re thinking about it? But then. So it’s like, what. What. What counts as thoughts at this point? And what would happen if that did happen? You know, and then.

And then it’s just like, wow, you would just feel very, like, naked all the time. Time. It’s like, oh, my gosh, you can hear, like, all these things. So. But. But not. Not. Not. Not only that, but then it gets into the tech companies. Why don’t we show a trailer and we get back. We’ll. We’ll talk about. We’ll talk about that aspect of things. So who is the mad butcher of Kingsburg? The Cleveland torso murders are some of the most gruesome killings that have ever taken place in America. Some believe it was worse than Jack the Ripper’s crimes.

On September 5, 1934, this small, forsaken neighborhood that probably would have faded away into oblivion, etched its name in history and the weird part is, is that there were very suspicious circumstances revolving around the suspects, which adds even more mystery to these horrible crimes. Little did they know at the time that this would end up becoming the biggest investigation in the Cleveland Police Department’s history. Because this is an Edge of Wonder Halloween special, and I promise we’ll try to make you laugh through this dark topic. But, yeah, literally, it’s just about two lattes a month. Yeah. Depending on where you live, I guess. But here in Florida, it’s definitely two lattes. So in New York, too. But. All right, going back to this, Rob, why don’t you read number three here? Because this is where. This is where it gets kind of weird with the. The tech behind all of this and potentially what. What companies and how companies could use this stuff.

Yeah. So three is broader privacy and ethical risks. The technology raises fears of brain transparency, where unspoken thoughts could be exposed, especially if consumer versions, for example, non surgical headsets, emerge. Without strong regulation, companies, like tech giants, could potentially access private inner monologues without consent, which they’re probably doing now. The researchers tested ways to block unintended decoding, for example, training the system to distinguish and silence inner versus attempted speech. But these are imperfect workarounds in early stage tech. Overall, the study shows exciting progress for helping paralyzed people communicate more naturally. But it underscores that decoding inner voice comes with real hurdles around privacy, mental control, and unintended exposure of thoughts.

The boundary between private and shareable mental content is blurrier than expected. You think? Yeah, I mean, especially like, you know, thinking about, like, where it says non surgical Headsets. It’s like, man, you know what, what if, like that could happen with anything like VR headsets or even with our phones now, which seems kind of crazy. And I mean, the. The Chinese government has already been. Or regime. Not really a government, but they’ve already been long experimenting with this. And there was a Chinese researcher that claimed that came forward saying that they have a. AI The Chinese do the, The.

The. The Chinese government, and they’re able to read minds. So they’ve developed. But this was true. They developed a software where. These researchers in China claim to have developed software that can analyze facial expressions, but most mostly brainwave activity, and they can translate that into understanding how somebody feels. So, for example, if. If, you know, if the CCP is looking at their own people and they could say different things and see how those thoughts, the brain waves that the person is generating, whether or not they’ve. They’re sufficiently brainwashed or not is what it is. Yeah, yeah, that’s basically what they’re saying, what this is saying.

But I feel like it’s going deeper too, in the sense of actually reading minds. And I, And I guarantee you, I mean, that’s what the Chinese government has been wanting to do for so long. Right? So I have a feeling that they’re already. They’re already doing this. And we showed this a long time ago and I found this again, this is like years and years back because, you know, you. You were mentioning how you feel like things are already reading our minds. And. And I’ve had this happen now on Facebook about five times now where I have not said anything out loud.

Didn’t even have my phone around me. I just think something and then lo and behold, I see an ad for whatever it is I’m thinking about. And. And it’s like I didn’t have a conversation. And it keeps happening. And I know a lot of people. This keeps happening too. And so I found this video where somebody compiled all these tweets where people are talking about how they feel like their phones are reading their minds. So, Lindsay, can you play this here? I think Facebook can read their mind. I was just thinking about a twixt and an advertisement for it popped up on my screen.

Anyways, I was just thinking to myself, I hate birth control. And an advertisement about the pill appeared on my Instagram. Does not. Okay. I was just silently thinking about maybe starting to collect succulents again earlier today. Nowhere near my phone. And now I’m getting this Facebook ad. I hate you, Mark Zuckerberg was just thinking about how bad I wanted Skittles. And I open Facebook and the first thing on my feed is a Skittles ad. I received an advertisement about prepping for the apocalypse right when I was thinking about just that. Do they know something? It’s funny because I was just thinking about wanting to buy a cat tower for the basement, and now Facebook ads suggest cat towers.

Oh, earlier today, for some reason, I was thinking about body armor, like bulletproof vests. I didn’t type it, write it down, mention it to anyone, search for it. I didn’t even say it out loud. And what did I just see on Facebook? I swear, I was just thinking about Smoothie King, and an advertisement popped up on my timeline. Hate this. This is getting out of hand. I was just thinking about what tattoo I should get, where I wanted in my head. Then went on the phone and there was advertisements about tattoos. Gotta be the Illuminati. It’s the best.

But there’s a hundred of these and. And there’s so many more recent ones that. That, like, people are talking about this on. On Instagram and Twitter. And so many people I keep encountering that are having these same thing happen to them. You know, it’s like. Yeah, it’s weird. It. It’s like, you know, and they’re trying to rationalize it in their mind, like, well, maybe I did something and I could see, like, okay, in some aspects, the camera could be picking up something, right? So maybe you’re looking at something or some. Or for example, you see Skittle ad on TV or something like that.

You know, the. The audio is picking up. I mean, of course, if, you know, we’re. We. Every time we do a show, whatever we talk about, I always see the ads for it, Facebook. So we know our phones are listening. But this is a whole different thing. You know, like, one time I woke up in the morning, you know, I didn’t have my phone on me or anything. I was literally laying in bed and I’m thinking, like, oh, man, like, my. I. I must have laying on my neck wrong, you know, or slept on my neck wrong because.

Or because I had my neck hurts. And then I open up Facebook and the first thing I see is literally like, neck massage toys and things like that, you know, And I’m like, what the heck? Like, this is weird, you know, but it keeps happening. So I, you know, I. I definitely think there’s something going on here in a relationship too. Of course, we’ve. We’ve talked a lot about the. The 5G and how it’s kind of crazy. Some of the documents that are coming out, how they can now identify somebody, just like Batman, you know, in Batman the Dark Knight, where he has that Batman vision where he’s using the.

And he’s literally using people’s cell phones to get like a readout of where people are. And, and like a kind of, like a infrared kind of visual interpretation of that. And lo and behold, that they’ve already achieved that technology. They can do that. And we found documents that, that specifically state that. And, and I think right now it was something like 93 or 90% accuracy that they can identify people. You just using wi fi waves. So. Pretty wild, really. I mean, it’s kind of like, where is the tech going? You know? And that kind of leads into a little bit more of our conversation from last week about 2026.

And we were talking about some predictions that people made, both funny and some crazy ones and some real ones. But I found some more that we didn’t talk about on that episode. And one of them is, you know, of course, the Simpsons is infamous for always predicting the future. Yeah, but, but I. But New York Post actually had this article about the different things that Simpsons made coming into 2026. Now, again, this isn’t specifically for 2026, but. But it gave some examples such as, like, AI taking over our jobs. And that was specifically in season 23, episode 17, them robots.

So let’s see. In 1994, there’s an episode titled Deep Space Homer, and it might predicted the rise of space travel for generational or general population. That’d be kind of cool. I mean, I think that’s going to happen at some point. I mean, it already has. Go up. Scroll up. Which one are you looking at? Right there. Am I gay? Test. Seriously, what the heck? What were you thinking about when you pulled this up? I’m just kidding. Actually, Lindsay pulled this up. No. That is so literally the funniest ad that could have been on there as we pulled this up.

Talking. Also, don’t have a dog. So I’m not sure where these ads are coming from. Wait. Oh, yeah. What happened to your dog, Lindsay? You had a dog, right? No, I don’t have a dog. Oh, okay. Thought you had a dog. Or your family did one or the other. All right. Yeah. Anyway, that’s. That’s pretty fun. Funny. Well, at least hopefully those ads are more related or not related to anything. Unlike Facebook, which is very strange. Episode just took a turn for the worse. All right, let’s see. There was an episode in 1993 talked about a fiction, a fictional virus spreading through Springfield that came from Japan.

Shipping crates called margin chains. And then in episode seven, there’s season 13, episode one, Treehouse of Horror. The Simpson family moved into a voice controlled house that manages their day to day lives. Pretty much now, like a lot of it says now 8 out of 10American homes contain smart tech. I can honestly say I, I, I tried my best not to have anything at my house. The only thing I have is like a doorbell thing, but that was already here. So anyway, do you have anything smart tech in this case? Refrigerators, doorbells, robot vacuums, you know, Terminators.

I don’t have any Terminators in the house, unfortunately. But I think it’s impossible not to have smart tech in your house. Now with it, like if you’ve gotten a new TV over the last six, seven, eight years, it’s got some smart technology in it. Right? Your phone, much different computers, speakers that you might have gotten. Yeah, All right. Yeah, moving on. So, so the, the other thing that we, you know, because again we, we covered some of this but we, we, there was, you know, there’s always more things popping up for predictions and prophecies and whatnot.

And this was in, so this woman, so she’s an award award winning psychic. I’m not really sure exactly how. Are you an award winning psychic? Explain that to me. Who’s, who’s, who’s giving these awards out. Yeah, and this is from the economic times. Let’s see, I don’t know, doesn’t really say how she got the award. Yes, she was named psychic after of the year on Forbes list of top psychics somewhere, I’m not really sure where. But she, let’s see. So what’s her name again? Jill. Jill M. Jackson is her name, so. Jill Jackson. And you know, again, nothing like, not like oh, an earthquake’s gonna come and, or you know, asteroids gonna come and destroy the planet.

You know, I always laugh at those kind of predictions. But she basically has prophesied there will be another Nickelback album coming out in 2026. I doubt that. But I, I did hear they’re gonna go on tour. So you could probably go see him where you are. I don’t think that’ll, that’ll happen. I think they went on, yeah, they’ve been going on tour. I think they’re, they’re like, with this, like these kind of similar bands and they’re, I don’t even remember what it is now. How many times, how many times are they Going to ask me to look at this photograph, Ben.

Too many. So. Yeah. Okay. So she’s talking about a little bit more of global natural disasters. Global disasters will happen. Amplifies every year. Yeah, I mean, it really has. I feel like that’s kind of like almost building up every year. She did mention Earth energy shifts and relocation trends. And she predicted that people will feel an. Excuse me. An unexplained urge to move from their homes. Oh, yeah. Remember that photo? Funny, Ben. Ben’s given the. Given the. The. The horns. You know what I found out, Rob? So if you. If you do go like this. Let’s see.

Hold on. Is it. We’re gonna work, Ben. Someone’s gonna take a photo of that. And. I was looking up. Yeah, I know. I wasn’t really going to do that, but someone could take a photo. Photo. But anyway, that’s. I was just doing it for the background. Or you can just go like this too. And then there you go. But anyway, so she predicted that, yeah, Americans will feel an unexplained urge to move from their homes. She said even people have resided there for about 20 years. And she attributed this to gradual changes in the Earth’s energy grids, which can interrupt the alignment between personal energy and places where people live.

So natural disasters may result further in these location reload, reason relocation places. Yeah, definitely. I mean, if, you know that happens. But it’s going to be kind of interesting to see. I feel like we kind of went through that with COVID in a lot of ways. People. A lot of people moved. We’ll see what happens. But I feel like people may be drawn more to different areas. Maybe not so much that they feel like they need a believe more like. I feel like I’m more. I’m being drawn to this area that’s kind of more what I think.

It’s like, maybe, you know, for whatever reason, it’s like, oh, hey, I feel like I need to go here and I’ll start going there. She does say that wars may persist. Be. Persist beyond 2026 and that tensions will escalate with the Ukraine, Russia war, which is kind of happening, and job losses just due to the economy and also AI stuff and, you know, things like that. So she says, I do see a lot of polarity, ups and downs. It’s going to feel like a little bit of a roller coaster. Sadly. Yeah, 2026 already is a roller coaster if you go on the X.

So true. So true. Yeah, it really does feel like that now. Yeah, we were kind of Talking about that before we started the show. Just how this insane this week has been. It’s like we’re already in the first week in January and I feel like more news has happened this week than the last three in the last eight months put together. Like oh, so much going on. It’s kind of crazy. All right. And then here’s some, you know, we, we were talking last year or last year last week about some of the 100 year old predictions for 2026.

And I found a few more of these, Rob, that we didn’t get into last week. So if you want to read some of these, you can as the top 100 year old predictions. Right. For 2026. Yeah. One nations will live in permanent peace. Yeah, right. Oh, that would be great. To a great start, dude. Diseases including cancer will be eliminated. Well, how when so many people make money off of it? Jazz and gramophones will disappear. Hey, that’s not a bad prediction. I could, I could do with jazz disappointment disappearing. No offense to all you jazz lovers out there.

Cinemas will close. That’s true. That’s kind of happening. We’ll live in a vegetarian age. Not on my watch. Women will return to more modest dress. Actually it would be nice. Machines will save us time. That is true. That is the four day working week. I think that’s been going on already for the last five years. We’ll be able to communicate from 4,000 miles away. That’s it. Try more restrictions will lift on migration. Yeah, yeah. I mean that kind of happened. Been going on for the last 20 or 30 years. Yeah, it really has been. Yeah. Also it’s funny about the.

The. The nations will live in peace. James wrote post great war thought of then as the war to end all wars. So basically he thought coming out of World War I would be the war to end all wars. And then of course there was World War II and then, then it never stopped. Really. Yeah. And there’s also more. So the, the Beacon Journal had these too about. Also about 100 year old prediction. Some, some of them we talked about in the past, but these are ones that we haven’t mentioned. And some of these were. Okay, so the guy, this guy named Dr.

Ar. Rents. Oh, you got blocked there. I. I don’t know how I was able to pull it up. It’s okay, you can read them. I just won’t pull them up. I thought I had though. I thought I used the Wayback machine and I got it working. I think I put the wrong link in here. Anyway. Okay, I’ll Read. I’ll read this. Yeah, go ahead. Divine inspiration. So Dr. A.R. wentz, a professor at the Lutheran Theological seminary in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, anticipated these advances. By 2025, a substitute for sleep would be found. Its chief ingredient would probably be acid sodium phosphate.

Chemistry would be used to produce synthetic foods, making them chiefly out of nitrogen from the atmosphere. Weird. People would use a pocket sized apparatus for communications to see here, to see and hear each other without being in the same room. That’s happened. There would be world peace, a common world currency and universal free trade. The American dollar, I guess. Not to sound like a jerk, but I think that that’s kind of how everything’s based off of the American dollar right now in finance. So it is. I know. Let’s see. Okay, so the weekly Scotsman newspaper published in Edinburgh.

Did I speak pronounce that right? Edinburgh made these prophecies. The books of AD 25 will probably be printed on nickel leaves so light and thin that a single volume will contain 30,000 pages. And the pages will be more flexible and durable than paper. Negative. The work of the house will be reduced to a negligible quantity by a hundred electrical devices, not a few of which are in use today. From opening the door or removing a meal to cleaning the boots and the automatic cooking of a six course meal. Kind of wish that were true. Not true.

In the world of manufacturing, the change will be just as revolutionary. Where we have today a score of machines, one will then suffice. 3D printer. I don’t know. Yeah, then. Yeah, you know, that’s. That could be. Yeah, then the end of poverty. If society made a concerted effort, poverty would be abolished by 2025. No, no, no concerted effort has been. Has been implemented. Sophie Irene Loeb, President of Child Welfare Committee of America, said the continued advancement of widow pensions and child welfare laws would help achieve that goal. She’s a commie. Once juvenile poverty was eliminated, the next step.

Step would be to address poverty among adults. Out of touch. Yeah. And then we’ve got knee slappers from 1925. Horse drawn vehicles are fast disappearing from our streets. But jackass driven automobiles will still be with us 100 years from now. That’s great. Daily and hourly progress of madness and folly and wickedness will at least make a fine narrative in history. But probably the people of the future will have so many follies of their own that they will not care greatly for ours in 2025. True. Now a scientist declares there will be nothing to laugh about in a hundred years.

Hence we suppose that means 100 years from now there will be no bow legged girls in short skirts or skinny shaped men in golf dog. Those who fear that the world will be overpopulated a century hence may underestimate the capacity of moonshine. They are now celebrating the 100th anniversary of the invention of the detachable collar. Judging from the popularity of divorce, 100 years from now they will be celebrating the invention of the detachable marriage yoke. That’s. Yeah, that’s kind of true. You know there was. So I finally found. I, I pulled up the wrong article earlier, but I have it now.

But this is kind of interesting because it gets into where it was. The global government. It says Earth will be under one government in one language. Will be written and understood or even spoken spoken all over the globe. There’ll be different races and perhaps allied nations. But travel and commerce will free. Will be free and unfettered calamities will all be alleviated. Yeah, I don’t, I don’t think so. But, but it’s. Man, that’s kind of crazy. Advances in medicine, a lot of them say that, that cancer and all kinds of illnesses will be cured by then. Yeah, they underestimate the greed of humans in these predictions.

Yeah, kind of wild. Oh, but yeah, anyway, it’s kind of, it’s just kind of interesting to see all these people that what, what they predicted. I mean I remember thinking, you know, coming into the late 90s, I mean you’re hearing it everywhere. It’s like, oh, within like, you know, a decade we won’t hear any more about cancer. Like I, I remember everybody was talking about that because they were, they were like making all these advancements with stem cell research. I mean that was the whole reason why they were pushing stem cell research back in the 90s because they were like, we need to get this done because we’re going to find a cure for cancer this way.

Which is why they wanted to prove everything. And then all of a sudden it’s just like what just happened? Where did all this research go? And cloning came out. So it’s like were you just using it for cloning the whole time or you know, what were you doing with this? So yeah, I was just, it’s so funny. I was just talking to my mom, she heard it, she saw us ad for some like can’t, like lung cancer or something, some drug for it. But then at the end of it, you know, gave like a one minute spiel about all the side effects it could have, including death.

But then it Said you could have problems breathing and breaking out and rashes and it’s like, wait a minute. You could have potentially problems breathing. And this is a drug to treat cancer in the lungs. Like, just. I don’t know. A lot of this stuff doesn’t make sense. I don’t know how to make sense of it. All right, we should probably jump over to Rise TV now. We’re kind of a little bit past. Yeah, why don’t we move the Three Eye Atlas discussion over to Tuesday? Yeah, we can. We’ll do that. Why don’t. We can do that.

I’m sure there’ll be more coming out about it. That just never ends. Yep. So true. Yeah. So we’re gonna jump over to Rise TV where we’re gonna answer your questions and our exclusive Rise Chat that we have that you guys all asked us. And then we’re gonna do our top 10 weirder news of the week. And we got some weird things in this this week. A massive, gigantic, deep sea jellyfish that was filmed. A police report in Utah explaining how an officer was turned into a frog. That one’s going to be fun to get into. And how aliens could be communicating with us.

So. All right. And so if you haven’t joined us, you can come over and join us once again for 12.99amonth and support. Support what we do and be a part of our exclusive Rise Chat where you can chat with us directly. All right, we’re going to show a trailer and then we’ll see you guys over on Rise. Hey, everyone, welcome back to Edge of Wonder and Episode one. We talked about some of the places where people have proposed the Garden of Eden is. We talked about Jackson, Missouri. Sure did. @ length. Probably too much length. Serpent Mound in Ohio, Adams Peak in Sri Lanka, and Taklamakan Desert in China.

But we saved the most unbelievable locations we found for our awesome supporters on Rides tv. We’re gonna bring you the most ridiculous, the most unlikely, and the most out of this world locations. To start, we’ll go deeper into one of the most common places where people think the Garden of Eden might be Jerusalem.
