Have you guys heard about this? Just a few days ago, a woman in Biloxi, Mississippi, reached into her bag of bread that she bought at Walmart, looking to make her children some sandwiches. And what she found inside will make you want to check every loaf of bread you ever buy. Okay, maybe not that extreme, but what did she find? She found razor blades, actual razor blades that was pushed through the packaging, waiting. There was no grudge, no revenge. It was just a stranger targeting other strangers. And guys, this is not the only story like this.

There’s so many that it would be impossible to go through all of them. But it’s clear that something is happening to people. Something is happening to our society, where strangers are targeting strangers. Strangers see other people as obstacles rather than humans. So this story happened in Biloxi, Mississippi. It’s a medium-sized city, around 60,000 people or so, I believe. It’s on the coast. You know, there’s casinos, there’s hotels, there’s fun things to do. There’s families who are doing their weekly shopping at Walmart, just like millions of other Americans do every single day. So it’s just, you know, your average American town.

And what happened here isn’t necessarily unique, per se. But I want to talk about it because it is showing. It’s a perfect example of what is happening to our society. I know you felt it. I know you felt it that there is something wrong with people nowadays. People are cold, people are heartless. This is a symptom of a sick society. The society that we live in as a whole, it’s sick, it’s collapsing. And it’s not by accident, I think it’s done on purpose. And it’s not a surprise either. We all know it’s coming.

We know why it’s coming. We’ll get into that later on. But let’s first cover this this razor blade story because it’s crazy. So this happened just a few days ago, when a customer who was shopping at Walmart discovered something horrifying in their banana nut muffin. Imagine you go to Walmart, you buy a loaf of bread or some muffins or wherever it may be, you open it up and there’s a razor blade inside. It’s horrifying. So store employees, they searched, they found nothing. And they wrote it off as like a one time incident saying, you know, I don’t know how this got there.

It’s really strange. You know, who knows, right? They just kind of shrugged their shoulders at it, which I don’t think is the right response. But two days later, across town in another neighborhood, Walmart, another incident, another hidden razor blade. But this time it wasn’t in a banana nut muffin, it was in a loaf of bread. Again, the people at Walmart, the employees, they searched and they found nothing. So they moved on. And this time they didn’t connect the dots because they didn’t hear about the other incident yet. And this incident, these incidents, I should say, they took place for it was around 11 days.

Somebody was walking into different Walmart’s in the area and putting razor blades and fish hooks in bakery items. They’re walking past the employees that were stocking shelves, walking past children, walking past children with their families, buying food. Okay. And they were basically methodically pushing razor blades into the plastic packaging of different bakery items. And then after 11 days of this, on the final day, multiple customers, they contacted Walmart saying that they found razor blades in their bread. And so Walmart, of course, they finally they did like a full sweep. And they discovered that something even more disturbing had taken place.

And it wasn’t just a couple isolated incidents here and there. Like I said, it’s over 11 days. They also found a muffin with a fishing hook inside of it. Seriously, somebody had poked these items, these sharp items through all the plastic packaging and tried to hide it in the bread or in the muffins so that when somebody takes a bite of it, the razor blade sticks into their mouth. The fish hook sticks into their mouth and it causes a lot of damage, right? That’s the purpose. This person, whoever this person was, and we do have a picture of it, they were trying to cause harm.

Think about it. A fishing hook designed to catch a fish hidden in a muffin that somebody’s child might have eaten for breakfast. I mean, it’s horrifying. If I found a fishing hook in one of my muffins, I would lose it. And if it was something that my son was eating, it would be a whole different story, all right? So a few hours later, the police, they went through all the footage and they figured out who was doing this terrible crime. So they arrested her, right? They put her behind bars. And what were the charges? Attempted mayhem.

Not attempted murder, attempted mayhem. This is ridiculous. I mean, these charges should be upgraded because this is a malicious act. It could even be considered terrorism. What was the motive? She was doing this to random people. There was no connection to any of the victims. There was no reason really. It was just complete total cowardice. Razor blades and fishing hooks found in Walmart baked goods. And now Biloxi police have arrested this woman, 33 year old Camille Benson. She was identified as a person of interest around noon today. And by five o’clock, she was behind bars in Harrison County.

The arrest happening as we’re learning more about this shocking crime that one unreported for more than a week. Noah Noble has details. At first glance, you might think this is a piece of moldy bread. Well, it’s something worse, much worse. That’s a razor blade shoved into a bread loaf sold at Walmart in Biloxi. Why would somebody do this? I’m not sure. It’s a really, it’s a really strange thing to do. Lieutenant Candace Young says this strange crime started more than a week ago on December 5th at the Walmart Supercenter on CT Switzer.

A customer found a razor blade and a banana nut muffin. Store associates, you know, combed through their merchandise. They couldn’t find any other compromised items. Thought, hey, this is just an isolated event. And y’all were not contact at that time. Two days later on the 7th, a customer at the neighborhood Walmart on Pass Road found a razor in a loaf of bread, but police were not called until the 15th after yet another customer at the Supercenter found razor blades in a loaf of brioche bread. They did another sweep of their merchandise on display for sale and found multiple loaves of bread that were compromised with razor blades.

They also at that time found a muffin that had a fish hook in it. Somebody had poked those items through the plastic packaging. So this wasn’t an accident during manufacturing. This was willfully somebody. Absolutely. They also combed through all of their merchandise in the back that’s not displayed for sale and found nothing that was compromised. Miraculously, there have been no reports of injuries. You might wonder what kind of crime does this constitute? Biloxi investigators consulted with the district attorney’s office. The most appropriate charge seems to be attempted criminal mayhem. It carries a maximum sentence of seven years in prison and no less than six months in county jail.

Hey guys, if this was just an isolated incident, this bread thing, it would be disturbing enough. But it’s part of a wider picture. There’s another one. I remember it was in New York City. I think it was in January 2025. There was a 45 year old man was standing on a subway platform looking at his phone. A stranger walked past him, circles back without warning, pushes him directly in front of an oncoming train. Imagine no argument, no robbery, no robbery attempt, no words even exchanged at all. It was just, just this man just decided for whatever reason to push this stranger in front of an oncoming train.

Think about that. And then you have a similar story. It was from Queens and this man approached two people that were waiting for the train and slashes both of them across the face with a knife. Random. They were just sitting there waiting for the train. A crazy man walked up and just cut them. I mean, this is insane. And the district attorney, I think he was quoted as saying that this is every commuter’s worst nightmare. Oh, absolutely. You just, you’re minding, you’re minding your own business. You’re waiting for the train to arrive so you can get to work or go home, whatever it may be.

And somebody comes and slices you, slashes you for no reason. All you’re doing is standing there. Again, no motive, no connection to the victims, just strangers wanting to cause havoc for no reason. And then remember that crazy story from coming out of Arkansas last summer where the family, this family was going hiking. I think it was a mom, a dad and their daughter. They were hiking in the woods at a state park enjoying nature, a beautiful day. And this teacher, an elementary school teacher who was a psychopath murderer tried to abduct the girl.

I mean, we don’t really know the full details of this, but basically he sliced and slashed the mom and the dad until they were no longer with us. And thankfully the girl escaped. But this is another instance of a random stranger attacking two people for no reason. And again, guys, there’s way too many stories to go over. It’s just a few of the ones that I can remember off the top of my head. But there’s so many instances of strangers attacking strangers, killing them sometimes for no reason, no reason at all, just wrong place, wrong time.

And it makes you wonder like what’s happening to our world, to society as a whole, when you can’t even go about your daily life without having to worry about a stranger attacking you for no reason. That’s everybody’s worst fear, right? Random acts of violence. But it goes a lot deeper than we only hear about it more now because we hear more news because of the internet. No, there’s actually been studies done that prove that people are losing their empathy and people are becoming more cold. And again, this is not a coincidence.

So here’s what’s disturbing about this. Americans in general are now identifying random acts of violence as their greatest threat to their safety. Think about that, guys. It’s not car accidents, which kill way more people, by the way. It’s not disease. It’s not sickness. It’s not, you know, health problems. What it is is random violence from strangers. That’s what most people are scared of. And there’s a reason that fear is growing. And it’s not because the news is making these stories out to be more prevalent than they really are, because they actually are growing. And the number of this is growing as well.

There was a study that was done on this in 2010. There was a researcher at the University of Michigan that conducted one of the largest studies of its kind. And they analyzed data on, I think it was nearly like 14,000 college students over like 25 to 30 years. And what this researcher found, well, it should concern every one of us because it’s staggering. And the Bible actually predicted it. So before I talk about what the Bible says, let’s talk about what the study says. So this study says that college kids today are, I think it was 40 percent lower in empathy compared to their counterparts, you know, 20 to 30 years ago.

40 percent. This is a measurable effect, everybody. 40 percent isn’t just some negligible amount. No, 40 percent is huge. And the researchers in this study, they pointed to several factors causing this. One of them was the rise of social media. And then another was constant exposure to like violent content. And then they also identified what one researcher called, I think they called it a hyper competitive atmosphere where people are so busy worrying about themselves, about how they’re going to pay the bill, how they’re going to succeed, about their own problems, that they don’t have time to consider other people, that considering other people is a nuisance because you have to put so much brain power on yourself.

OK, so this is where we’re headed, people. And then there was another study, too. That’s not the only one. There was one, I think it was in 2022, that documented something called empathy perception gap. OK, this is a real term where people. So and this is where people systematically see others as less caring than they see themselves. Basically, what it showed was students who perceive their peers as being cold and like heartless, they become more isolated over time. It’s a cycle. It’s a loop. It’s an endless loop. It’s a disconnection cycle. It’s the more you feel cold towards society and the more you feel people are cold to you.

And that compounds on itself endlessly until we get to a place where we are now. And during the covid lockdowns, researchers, they tracked over I think it was 2500 students, teenagers. And because of the lockdowns, these researchers found that both empathy and pro-social behavior were basically significantly decreased during the isolation. And it was a long lasting effect, too. It wasn’t like once the isolation from the covid lockdowns was over, they went back to normal. No, it had a long lasting effect on these kids, on these teenagers, because limited contact with other people.

It does diminish our capacity for human connection itself. It really does. That’s why we’re called to have fellowship with believers with each other. And we were not created to be isolated. We were not created to sit alone in our houses and interact with people through computer screens. And this is part of the guys. This is what happens to a society when we stop seeing each other as fully human. There’s a whole trend right now, calling people NPCs, non-player characters. Have you heard of that? Basically, this trend of calling people NPCs, it’s if somebody drives like a white Toyota that’s like a basic car, they’re an NPC because their car doesn’t stand out.

If they wear regular clothes, like from Walmart or whatever, they’re an NPC because they’re wearing regular clothes instead of trying to stand out and be unique. So there’s a whole trend right now in social media, especially among the younger kids, of calling people NPCs just because they don’t fit the mold of being different. And I think this is contributing to the whole thing that we’re seeing with these increased random acts of violence, right? Because if the person standing next to you isn’t a person, well, then you committing violence against them is okay because they have no soul to begin with, right? And the same thing goes for the person who’s standing next to you on a subway platform, for instance, or the person reaching into a piece of bread.

They’re just, you know, they’re just background noise. They’re not real people. They’re NPCs. They have no soul. So if we push them in front of a train or we put razor blades in their bread, it’s fine, right? Because when people stop seeing other people as humans just like them, another person who’s having a bad day or struggling with life, well, that’s what happens, right? You get razor blades and bread. You get people pushed onto train tracks. You get acid thrown in the face. You get people getting lit on fire. And you get hearts that are growing cold.

Think about that. It’s obvious, hearts are growing cold. People are growing cold in general. And the thing is, guys, that most people don’t understand, most people don’t even know is that 2000 years ago, this whole thing was predicted by Jesus Christ himself. Seriously, he said there will come a time when men’s hearts grow cold. So what happened was one of Jesus’s followers asked him, Hey, Jesus, what’s the end of the age going to look like? Some translations say the end of the world, but what’s the end? The end time is going to look like.

And, you know, he answers this and it fills many chapters. And one of the things that he said is exactly what we’re talking about right now. He said, because lawlessness will increase, the love of many will grow cold. And the Greek word used for love here is agape. Agape is a very specific type of love. It’s like a self-sacrificing type of love. And the Greek word used there for the grow cold, it means basically to cool down, to lose warmth. So this means that Jesus didn’t say that love would vanish overnight. Simply one day, people would love each other.

Agape love. And the next day, they wouldn’t know. He said it would grow cold gradually, that the warmth of humanity will gradually dissipate and bleed out. Kind of like, you know, if in the wintertime, when you have your window cracked, all the cold air comes in, the heat comes out. And next thing you know, the inside of your house is freezing cold. And think about those studies, right? 40% decline in empathy over 30 years. And guys, it’s clear, random acts of violence against strangers, they’re becoming normalized. Hearts are growing cold. There is a gradual shift between agape love that people used to have for each other, genuine care people had for each other.

And now you have this coldness that permeates all of society. People don’t care anymore. They don’t care about you. They only care about themselves. And that brings us to where we are today with people walking through grocery stores, hiding razor blades and bread, hiding fishing hooks and muffins, and you know, all these other random acts of violence that we see. These people are doing it with apparently no feeling at all. They’re just doing it because they want to. So it’s clear that the Bible predicted this 2000 years ago. And now scientists are, you know, they’re seeing this data and they’re saying, hey, something is happening.

There is a shift in people. People are becoming more apathetic and less empathetic. And sociologists call this a decline in empathy, right? Researchers, they call it a compassion fatigue, but scripture 2000 years ago, they called it what it is. The end times, hearts growing cold, that something is happening to people that was foretold, and there’s nothing we can do to escape it. Now, before you close this video, feeling, you know, hopeless, let me be clear about something, because this is a big deal and it’s major. This isn’t, I’m not doing this to scare you.

This isn’t doom. It’s a wake up call because we know what’s happening. We know these things are coming, but we can fight against it. So the Biloxi police department, they reported no injuries from the razor blade incidents. Thank God customers were paying attention. They caught it just in time, right? I mean, that’s it’s insane to think about that. You’re about to take a bite into a muffin and you see a razor blade coming out or a fish hook. One of the lieutenants said in the case that this could have been so much worse.

And if it wasn’t for people being vigilant, it probably would have. It definitely could have been much worse, but it wasn’t. So thank God for that. And here’s something that the research also shows, right? So there’s a 40% decline in empathy, but it also shows that it can be fixed, that human connection can be restored. Now, the Bible tells us that this thing will happen, right? That the human connection will dissipate, but us as believers, we can keep fighting to keep that connection restored. We don’t have to let our hearts grow cold, right? So the same studies that documented this decline also showed that you can increase your empathy by face-to-face interaction, genuine conversations with people, and intentional, like relationship building exercises.

It can reverse the trend. Now I’m not saying that this trend will be reversed as a whole and that society can get fixed, because it won’t, because the collapse will continue. It will get worse and worse and worse until it reaches a tipping point. But us believers, we’re not trapped in this, right? Because Jesus, he offered hope alongside his warning. It’s in Matthew 24, verse 13. Basically, in a world growing colder, we’re called to be different. We’re called to choose warmth when coldness is easier. We’re called to see that whatever stranger is sitting next to us, not as an obstacle, but as a person.

As a person just like you who has their own set of problems, who is struggling to pay the bills just like everybody else, just a regular person just living a different life than you. They’re not an obstacle. They’re not some sort of abstract concept. It’s a person. It’s not background noise. This person is living a life that it’s also hard. So we can have empathy knowing that we’re not the only ones in hard situations. And the razor blades and the bread, you know, all of these random acts of violence, they’re just a symptom of a sick society, of a sick society that’s going to be collapsing.

And it is in a free fall right now. But like I said, we don’t have to play their game. It’s just a warning light, basically, on the dashboard saying, check engine, check society, because things are happening. So I think as believers, we’re called to be the opposite of the world, right? If everybody’s going cold, if 40% of the world has less empathy, let’s have more empathy. Let’s care about people more because Jesus told us to love our neighbor as ourself. So let’s see this as an opportunity to help people, to be kind to people, to show empathy, and to really set ourselves as Christian apart from the rest of the world.

Because that’s what the world needs, right? The world needs more people to come to Christ because if the world is, you know, in a free fall, it is collapsing, a slow collapse. The only light in the world is Christ. And we need to show that to people. So what do you think about this though? What do you think about this whole razor blade and the bread situation? Do you feel like society is in a collapse? Do you think that people’s empathy is, you know, shrinking? Or do you think that this whole thing is just made up and people are just as nice today as they have been forever? That there is no shrinking empathy problem that people just, you know, they’re just busy.

Whatever you think, put it in the comments below. I’m curious to read all of your guys’ thoughts and opinions. So I want to thank you all for watching this video. Please hit the like button if you haven’t done so already and we’ll see you guys next time. God bless you. [tr:trw].
