I went to the hospital that night. The guy came in and he said, we’ve just done a scan of your body. You’ve got metastasis cancer and you got six months to live. So diet was important. Oh, it’s extremely important because inflammation in the body is what cancer is. You never let it defeat you. You’re always into overcoming it. Don’t sit down and wait for somebody to tell you, well, you’re going to take 15 chemo treatments, you’re going to take 16 radiation treatments, and then this is what’s going to happen. If you go back and look at the research of the number of the people that have been cured by doing that protocol, that the numbers are staggering.

Hey, everyone. Welcome to another sit down with Michael Francis. Hope everybody is doing well. All is very good, very blessed on this end, my friends. And as always, I give all the praise, honor, glory and thanksgiving to our God for that. I have a very special guest today and he’s very special to me because he is a dear friend, he has a partner and he’s a brother to me. Really good guy. His name is Brett Ub and Brett’s got an amazing story and it’s a comeback story. He’s overcome so much in his life. He’s probably not going to get into all of this now.

Although he does speak about it on his TikTok platform and I believe he’s got YouTube also. Very successful business guy and just an all around great guy. He is a cancer survivor and serious cancer, brain cancer and doctor at one point told him he had six months to live and here it is, I believe 13 years later, he’s still here. Perseverance, never got down on himself, never, never felt sorry for himself. Just did everything he possibly could to beat it. He said he was going to and, and he’s done it. He still has some after effects, side effects, I would say, from it.

He’s still undergoing treatments, has seizures every once in a while. But in spite of all of that, very successful business guy, owns a number of dealerships, partner with me in both my wine and my pizza company. Just a great guy and he’s got a story to tell and he’s very encouraging and I really want you to listen to what he has to say. He’s from Louisiana, you know, he’s a good old boy from down there. I love those guys down there. They’re for real Louisiana, real people down there. No BS about them. They say it like it is.

My favorite senator John Kennedy is from Louisiana and I love how plain Spoken. He is just says what’s on his mind and is pretty well to the point all the time. So, good friend. We’re going to have just a good conversation, friendly conversation between us, and I suggest you listen to him. You know, we try to bring people on here that have something that can benefit you in your life. It’s not only about, you know, stories and everything else that we tell. It’s about people that can benefit you. That’s why at times I bring on people that may have something that help you, you know, overcome an illness.

You know, I’m talking about neutronics right now, something I’ve been on for a couple of weeks, and I’m feeling pretty good about it. You know, I’m going to get into it a little bit more. I’ve talked about stem cells. I’ve talked about things that I think can help you, you know, with a better quality of life. So Brett’s a guy that you should listen to. He’s got a lot of important things to say, a lot of interesting things to say. And like I said, he’s like a brother to me. So with no further delay, my very dear good friend, Brett Oobe.

So, Brett, I, as of late, I’ve been very much into informing my viewers about various aspects of taking care of themselves, of their health. And I’ve talked about stem cells, I’ve talked about red light therapy, and a lot of people are tuning in on that. They’re interested in maintaining their health. And I think there’s a trend going on in our country where people are eating better, they’re watching labels, where they war, and they’re worried about their health. Because, you know, I’ll never forget, there was somebody, a friend of mine, that has this big stem cell clinic in Costa Rica, and he said to me, michael, the advances in medicine now, if you can live until 2030, is a good shot in taking advantage of the various therapies that they have that you could live past 100 and have a healthy lifestyle.

Great. I’m really into it, and my whole family is into it. And you’re so interesting because, number one, we’re friends and partners, but number two, you have overcome an adversity that I believe it’s a health adversity that so many people are touched by. And that’s the word that nobody likes to hear, and that is cancer. I don’t think there’s a family certainly in this country and probably in the world that hasn’t been impacted by cancer. Somebody I lost my. My younger sister. I lost My mother and a lot of people. And you’ve overcome that, and it was serious.

And so I want to talk about that because you’re a survivor in that way. And you’ve, you’ve prospered, you’ve. You never let it defeat you. You’re always into overcoming it. And to me, that’s a great story. And I think it’s something that people need to hear because a lot of times they hear cancer, and right away they’re scared. And what am I going to do? And I’m going to die. And you’re living proof that it doesn’t happen. So I want to talk a little bit about your situation. If you can tell people what, what happened to you, when it happened to you, and then we’ll get into how you overcame it.

Well, I mean, it’ll be a day that I’ll never Forget. It was October 12th of 2012, and I was getting ready to go to an LSU game and my son was sitting in the chair, and I. My wife says, hey, would you move this table upstairs? Because my son had asked me to watch Star wars with him before I left to go watch the ball game. So I’m moving that table upstairs, and as I’m moving that table upstairs, this arm goes up and I’m doing everything in my power to get it down. I mean, it just raised up.

Well, I mean, I was having a seizure. So when it started going up, because the tumors on this side of my head, so when it started going up, I’d never experienced that before. Right. And I was still conscious at that time. And I’m trying to pull it back down with all my might, and it won’t come down. Next thing I know, I’m in an ambulance. Now, what I was told is that I went into a full blown grand mal seizure. Eyes rolled back in my head, foamed at the mouth, the whole nine yards. I went to the hospital that night.

The guy came in and he said, we’ve just done a scan of your body. You’ve got. You’ve got metastasis cancer, and you got six months to live. My friends, my 75th birthday is coming up. The end of May, three quarters of a century. Well, I made you all a promise. We’re going to do something very special, an evening you don’t want to miss. Click the link in the description, go to celebrate.michaelfrancis.com or scan the QR code right now and reserve your spot. Now, let’s get back to the video. Pretty sobering, you know, diagnosis, but it was very quick.

The, the doctor was very attentive, but I think he was very young in his practice and he was very probably, I don’t say excited because nobody gets excited deliver that kind of news, but he gets excited for that kind of action because in the kind of community where I was, where I lived, it was, you know, there wasn’t a lot of that kind of stuff. It was, it was more straight, you know, broken bone, that type of thing. And so they admitted me to the hospital, more so I think for mindset than anything else. And another doctor came to see me and he says, I can’t really tell you this, but I don’t think it’s metastasis, but, you know, you need to go see a neurosurgeon.

While I. After that happened, a friend of mine had called me that I, you know, did a lot of. At the time, I was doing a lot of exercise and more, especially spin. And her dad was a retired neurosurgeon from Tulane Medical School. And she said, there’s this great guy in New Orleans. He’s head of neurosurgery for lsu. He’s also a teaching doctor. And he said, I’m going to get you an appointment for Monday morning. So we went and he said, well, why don’t we do the surgery on Friday? And I said, well, about two Fridays.

Give me a minute to diagnose this. I mean, to digest this before we get going. And so, long story short is, went into surgery that two Fridays after that came out. When I came out, I couldn’t use my left arm. It was totally dead. You know, my left leg was okay. Doctor came into the room and he said, I got some good news and got some bad news. At this point, I didn’t know I couldn’t move my arm. And I said, well, what’s the bad news? He said, we’ll try to move your arm. And I couldn’t move it.

And I said, well, I can cut that off. I said, what’s the good news? He goes, well, you know, you do have tumor and you do have cancer, but I think it’s a very slow growing, unaggressive cancer, and I think we can do something with it. And so, you know, we went that night. And one of the things when I went and saw the doctor and I think when you what, whatever’s going on in your life, whether it’s cancer, whether it’s some kind of bad news, I mean, I had several different things this past Friday that was delivered to me that wasn’t great news.

And it’s. It’s mindset, right? It’s all a mindset. And I’m not saying that there’s some severe cases of cancer, that mindset is going to totally overcome it. But the, you know, I believe the most people that have what I had, Is it related to their arm, Never move their arms again. And why did I move my arm again? I defied the odds because of mindset is it said, I’m going to do it. I’m not going to. I’m not going to let these odds. In fact, whenever I was started to move my arm again and I went to the appointment, the doctor had me actually out in the room in front of the residents, wanting them to see me move my arm up and down, because that was the reason.

And so, you know, the mindset was for me was, hey, look, no matter what’s going on, I’m going to move forward. And he had told me when we had our original consultation, he said, we’ll do the surgery, you’ll stay a day, and then we’ll let you go the next day. When the arm wouldn’t move, he said, were you gonna have to stay 30 days? I said, no, chief, I’m. I’m leaving tomorrow. And he said, man, you can’t leave tomorrow. He said, you can’t move your arm. And when he said that, I jumped up out of the bed and I took off walking down the hall.

And he comes running down the hall and he says, hey, man, you convinced me. You convinced me. He said, but get back up and get back in here. We’re gonna have to straight sling your arm up. Are you going to pull it out of socket? Because you have nothing holding it there except for the attendance. But what happened that your arm wouldn’t say was nothing holding it? What means that, you know, like right now you’re. You’re in. You’re in perfect condition. I mean, your muscles and your tendons and your nerves and everything have that holding it in place.

Well, I mean, your brain controls all that. And I mean, until you really get into that and have that happen in that situation, you don’t realize that your brain’s a very important function of what’s going on in your body. And that’s when we get back into the health and what we’re eating and what we’re putting in our bodies. That’s all part of the poisoning, part of slowly over time, is the brain not being connected. Because if you can imagine, like if you went out and you went to the gym. Because I know you and your family are very big exercise folks and gym people, and you strain a muscle, you go into PT and they do some workouts, and you do some stretches, and you fix that.

When. When you have brain surgery and they cut that connection, it’s like if you cut the electrical wire from that cord, you can plug it in as many times as you want until you re. Establish that connection to the. To the brain, it’s not going to move. Yeah. And so what we did to get started, to be honest with you, is we did this press therapy where, you know, she would kind of. The physical therapist, she would kind of rock me back on my arms so that my arms would start reconnecting. And when they would reconnect, then you start sending signals.

Now, I don’t know. I’m making it sound like it was easy. It was. How long did it take? It took me about six months till I had some pretty good movement. But I remember when I first started, I could just barely. And I’m. I’m tapping it high right now, but I could just barely tap it like that. And a friend of mine came and saw me, and I’m showing him that. And when I’m doing it, I’m pouring sweat trying to get that to do it. But what I was doing. And I think what most people don’t realize is when you’re a baby and you watch them, they’re doing the same thing.

They’re just not conscious of it. Right. When you’re. Why it’s so difficult to do something different when you’re an adult is you’re confident. I mean, you’re. You’re. You’re conscious of what’s going on at that moment, if that makes sense. No, it makes perfect sense. So I’m sitting there watching, and I know that this has moved before, and I know that it’s supposed to move, but I’m having to reestablish that connection. And my friend came in and I was showing him, and he goes, that’s it. And of course, you know, anybody that’s competitive, when you hear that’s it, what is it? What does it immediately do? Yeah, I’m gonna show all of them and get it done.

Right. And so, you know, that’s kind of the groundwork of what got started and how all that. That played out. And how did you. From telling you you have six months to live until. What is it now, 13, 14 years later, still a little over 13 years. Thirteen years later, what was the progress that you made? And how did that happen? Well, for the mo, for, for the biggest part, and this is me self diagnosing and some of the neuro oncologist belief is a, I changed everything about the way I ate and lived. I mean I got away from food in a box for the most part.

I’m not going to sit here and act like I’ve never wavered from that a little bit, but I never waver from it long. It might have been a short period of time, but I would get off of it. My weight fluctuated. I’m not going to sit here and you’ve seen me when I’ve had a little bit of weight on me. My weight fluctuated. But it was, it was. So diet was important. Oh, it’s extremely important because inflammation is what in the body is what cancer is. And you have inflammation in the body and then the cellular start to overgrow and when the cellular start to overgrow, before you know it, your immune system can’t recognize it and the stuff goes crazy.

And it’s. By the time my neuro oncologist, who is now, who is now a research neuro oncologist as well as he treats concierge patients, he left the hospital setting, but he’s, when he left the hospital setting, he can now treat regular cancer because cancer in the brain is no different than cancer in the lung. It’s just when they treat it in the brain, they got to break the blood brain barrier because our brains were designed to keep stuff out of them so it doesn’t create a toxic effect. Remember what we were talking about a while ago where hey, this is.

My brain’s controlling the movement of this arm right now, even though I’m doing it involuntarily, if that makes any sense. And so, you know, that’s, that’s what I got going at the moment. What is. A is the diet. B is I went into some, some research therapies where I got away from. I never, I got close at one point where I was going to do chemo and radiation. And what I would say to people is be your own advocate. Don’t sit down and wait for somebody to tell you, well, you’re going to take 15 chemo treatments, you’re going to take 16 radiation treatments and then this is what’s going to happen.

Hey, if you go look back and look at the research and this will be controversial and you’ll get some comments about it, but if you go back and look at the research of the number of the people that have been Cured by doing that protocol. The numbers are very staggering. Yeah, I mean, it’s almost insane that we’re still treating people with that protocol and not putting some of that money into other therapies. And so I started researching chemo and radiation because in around the 2020 era is when my neuro oncologist in Louisiana started pushing me to do that and said, hey, you’re going to end up having to do it any day, one day.

Why don’t you go ahead and get it done now? Well, what I found out, when you radiate the brain, it’s not a question of if you get dementia, it’s when. And if you take chemotherapy, you’re going to cause secondary cancers at some point in your life. So depending on your life expectancy, if you were 75 and they said, well, this chemo is going to keep it at bay for the next 25 or 30 years, you might take the shot, hey, I’m going to do that. But if you’re 50, you meant, I want to do that. And what I learned through my neuro oncologist, that’s what I was going to say earlier, is that when they discover cancer, it’s already been in there 20, 25 years.

That’s how. Is that a fact? That’s a fact in just about every case and just about every case. So it’s not something that developed in the last six months or a year. It’s been growing for quite some time. They discovered it in the last six months or a year. But cancer starts 20, 25 years prior to. Remember? Is that a fact? Oh, that. I mean, you’ve met Dr. Casery. I mean, it’s a fact from Dr. Case. I mean, you can look, look him up online. It’s K E S A R I. And but that is a fact that, that he’s written a lot about.

And so that’s when. When. When I got really uncomfortable with. Not that the doctor I was saying was a bad guy, because he wasn’t. I just got really uncomfortable with taking that standard of care that every single doctor does. Yeah, if that makes sense. I’ve heard that’s right away. They want to put you on chemo and radiation. I know. And whether it’s that or whether it’s any other disease, Watch the standard of care. And they’re all doing the same thing. And they’re following what the insurance companies want to do and they’re following what the lawyers want to do.

And if you get a doctor to talk to you behind the scenes, they’re very frustrated by it, if that makes sense. And that’s why Dr. Kirkasri and I started creating a foundation and started to raise money for more research, number one. And number two is to get people that normally wouldn’t have the access to. To that care to have the access to that care so that they got a chance to save themselves or one of their loved ones. Let me ask you a question, Al. With the advances in medical technology, if a cancer is in your body, in your system, growing for 20 or 25 years, is there any kind of technology now that can detect those cells if you do a full body scan? Well, when they do a full body scan, remember, CT Scans are not 100%, but what they can do is they can do some genetic biome, I mean, some genetic testing that will determine your predisposition of cancer if you’re doing your yearly checkups.

That’s not. None of this stuff is 100% guaranteed. Right. Even with all the stuff that I’m talking about, it makes it sound great. But even with all the stuff, there’s still going to be people that don’t make it through. But they’re saving more people then they’re not by doing that. When I say them, some of them are just getting extended life. You know, they have a. A brain tumor called a glioblastoma. When you’re diagnosed with that, it’s usually six to 12 months. You’re done. Dr. Casery has been successful extending the life span of some of those people.

Six, seven, eight, nine years. Yeah, I mean, would you take another six, seven, eight, nine years? You know, the scary thing is that so many people that I know, too many people get recently detected, you know, they find out that they have cancer and three months later they’re dead. I personally believe it’s this because they sit home and go, you know, when you’re a kid and you get on a bike and you take off down the road and you got a wide road and you say, I don’t want to hit that pebble. I don’t want to hit that pebble.

I don’t want to hit that pebble. You’re going to hit the pedal. But if I focus on the possibilities that, hey, I’m a beat this. Hey, I’m going to beat this. Hey, I’m a beat this. I have one of the. One of the gentlemen that worked with me, stage four cancer. Got it at 65 years old when they detected it metastasized. He’s alive right now. And that was five years ago. And where was that cancer? It started out in the colon and it did metastasized to the liver. I got a text from him today because he went and got his scans.

Today was his scan day and the cancer had retracted again. Well, listen, I. And he’s 70 now. I, I certainly believe there’s something about having a real will to live. And I think that in many cases, not in every case, of course, but in many cases, I have to agree with you that those people that have a strong will to live and are not going to give in, like yourself, just have a better shot. You got a better shot. And then, you know, one of the things I’ve learned by being around some of these researchers, and again, if you look up Santos casery, he’s a world renowned.

I mean, that’s the reason I come out to California for that treatment is he’s world renowned. I mean, he’s one of the best that you can be with. But the, if you read some of his research and read some of the things that he’s doing, he is going at stuff a totally different way than other people. Now, what I’ve learned about being the researchers is it’s not always 100% right. So even though we sit here and talk about it and there’s great possibilities and there’s great outcomes for a lot of people, it’s not going to be everybody.

But you got a better shot at the extent in your life than you do at dying right now. And that’s my opinion, because I’ve had lots of friends, too. I’ve always been friends with people that are more distinguished than me, and I’ve had lots of friends, it seems like in the last three to five years that get diagnosed one day and they die three months later, like you just said. However, I also personally believe that’s part of that generation that doesn’t go to the doctor because all these guys are between. And ladies are between 70 and 80 years old.

And that’s that generation that just said, hey, I, I got a little pain in my chest right there. It doesn’t, it feels all right. Or this right here bothers me, I’m gonna roll over. And they, they wait until. Yeah, yeah. Well, I can, I can attest to that because I’m a guy that I’ve been healthy all my life, praise God. But. So I never really thought about going to the doctor. But my wife, she makes sure I get my checkups, my physicals. She saw a little dot on my face. Shorty called, what do you call it? Dermatologist, you know, to have an appointment.

And I think, you know, they say that married men normally live longer than single men because their wives are on top of it more than they are. You know, I thought they were because I didn’t run around anymore. Well, that could be part of it, too. Yeah. And they’re happier. Yeah. I mean, so it’s all part of it. And that’s my wife in the background there. She chimes in. But seriously, I mean, I once had a. A little mark on my inner thigh. And she kept telling me, go to the dermatologist. And I said, look, I’m not a sun worshiper.

Yeah, but you go on your bike. I’m not a sun worshiper. She had to push me. I go to the dermatologist and he looks at it. It’s no big deal, but I’ll cut it out anyway. I don’t think it’s anything. What turned out to be a melanoma. Really? Yeah. This was in 1996. So he looked at me and he said, what do you want to do? I say, doc, just cut it out. Get rid of it. So they did the biopsy on it. It was too small. They were going to do that injection to see if it goes into the lymph nodes, but he said, it’s too thin.

There’s no chance that it went into your lymph, though. But that was in 96. Now, melanoma is a serious cancer. It’s one of the most deadly cancer out there, one of the most aggressive. Had I let it go, I may not be sitting here right now, but it was my wife that pushed me. So, you know, another good point. Go to the doctor, get your checkups, do your annuals. And I like what you said, you know, question your doctor, because in your doctor. And don’t, you know, if you’re not comfortable with what he’s saying, get a few people, do your own research.

Today it’s so easy to do research because you got information everywhere on the. On the Internet. You know, you can look and see and list, get your thoughts together. But. So you’ve done that. And here you are, almost 14 years later, very successful in your business. You have a number of automobile dealerships, your partners with me. We have a lot going on, and you’re, for the most part, pretty healthy. I know you still have the seizures, but they’re a lot less serious. And they’re not as debilitating as they once were. And they really don’t stop you.

I know, because we’ve been Together when it happened, from doing anything? No, I mean, I’ve had them in meetings and say, y’ all go ahead. I’ll be back in 37. Yeah. And it’s over. They’re all looking at me. It’s gonna be all right. Don’t worry about it. And again, it’s the attitude. You don’t let it get you down and what you gonna do? You can’t stop it, right? I mean, I can. I will tell you this about seizures. Most things I’ve been able to will myself through. And I’ve tried everything in my power to will it to stop.

And you can now. It’s because, I mean, it’s just really an. It’s a. It’s an. It’s called an over excitement of the sodium channels. And I. I told you yesterday, I’ve become a. I’ve got a PhD car in car dealer. Oncology, I mean, you know, brain oncology. But, you know, it’s an over excitement of the sodium channels. So, like in my case when I had brain surgery, they. The first seizure was because the tumor was pushing on the spot that were triggered that seizure. Now it’s more so on the lines where they cut is damaged. So over time, whether it’s two weeks, three weeks, six months, you have a rush of those.

So sodium go through that sodium channel and I mean do till it stops. And there’s no control over that whatsoever. I’m taking medicine for it. I mean, we really believe we can get them to nothing and which is why we’re continuing to try. I mean, the little bit of piece of tumor that they had to leave because. So that I wouldn’t be able to. So that I could walk because I wouldn’t have been able to walk. We’re working on that piece and it’s retracting. You know, I mean, you know, we’re talking about, you know, going forward.

I mean, one of the reasons we revisited some of our interview is our last interview, I was taking a different type of treatment that he had me on. And it had me so debilitated that it’s not that I was unable to function, because I certainly was, but my reactions were slow. It was hard to remember my thoughts the next minute. And it wasn’t who I was, if that makes sense. When I watched the interview, I was like, hey, I don’t know how many views this is going to get, whether it does or doesn’t, but that’s not me.

I’m faster than that. Yeah, yeah, no, I get it. So the cancer, the way it exists now, it’s not life threatening any longer. No, I mean it can always, I mean anytime you have tumor in your body, whether they consider it cancerous or not, when you have a tumor in your body, it could always start super growing which is why they’re surveillance. Surveillance or conduct surveillance and monitor it. But I mean in their expert opinion, no. And there hasn’t been any growth since. It’s. If anything it’s been shrinking more. It’s never grown. And going on 14 years since the surgery, it hasn’t grown.

Surgery? No. It’s pretty good indication it’s not going to. Yeah. The only thing that the seizure, the seizures had went away for a long time. And if you remember what I was telling you yesterday is that when I had that big one and it was because I went into hypotremia is whenever, you know, I mean the way that the previous neuro oncologist described it is when you agitate brain tissue, it’s hard to get it to stop, if that makes sense. Yeah. And there’s no chance. Let me ask, so the tumor is there and it’s still cancerous, correct? To a degree.

I mean if you have a tumor in your leg and they say it’s benign, it’s still cancer. Still cancer, yeah. Tumors are considered cancer, but they have a stage one through four and what they call astrocytoma. And mine’s A two, but it’s. Once it’s labeled a two, it stays a two whether it shrinks or it doesn’t. So mine was labeled a 2 on the time it was taken out, but it’s smaller than it was whenever I was taken out. Is there any chance of that metastasizing to anywhere else in the body now? I mean there’s always a chance of anything.

I mean Dr. Kaiser said there’s about a one in a billion chance because he said cancer doesn’t you doesn’t on average metastasize from the brain down. But all cancer ends up in the brain. It all goes up, right? It doesn’t go down, it doesn’t usually go the other way. And it’s very, very, very small chance. I mean, you know there’s always a chance of anything. Right. But I mean it’s. Yeah, it’s almost minute. Well, I mean that’s what got my mother in law, she had breast cancer and then it eventually metastasized our brain and that’s. You know, she was on chemo treatments at the time and, and this was 20 some odd years ago.

So you know, we were at UCLA and we listened to what we thought. We did get advice from a couple of different doctors, but they all said the same thing. And I don’t know. You know, hopefully it’s advanced to a stage where that’s not the immediate answer all the time now. But, you know, I. I honestly, too, a lot of people don’t trust the medical profession anymore. You know, when you hear about all these insurance companies and I’ve heard so many doctors complaining about treatment and payment and all this stuff, it’s like everything comes down to money.

I’m afraid we’re gonna. And that’s another reason for our CURE foundation is afraid it’s going to come down to where most of your really, really. Not that all doctors aren’t good. I don’t want to. I don’t want to offend anybody on that regard, but where you’re really highly specialized, that’s probably a better word. Are going to go to concierge service because, you know, they’re getting beaten down on payment to where, you know, they spent 15, 18 years in school becoming really specialized in this area and really understanding this area. And their salary’s been cut in half.

Yeah, I mean, my. My doctor had. My internist, I was with him for 20 years, and he went out of practice and went to concierge. He said, I can’t do this anymore. Yeah. You know, and I get it. So what would you tell. What was your. What would be your last advice to anybody out there right now that’s watching if they are diagnosed with cancer? What would you. What would the. What would you advise them? What were the steps that they should take, you know, regardless of what cancer it might be? Well, the very first thing I’d do is I would go on and do research for people that are.

That have published papers about the specific type of cancer you’ve been diagnosed with and what they are like for Casery’s, you know, and I’m going back to him because that’s my reference. But I read probably a hundred papers that he had published, and then every one that he had published it talked about the treatments and the things that’s. You know, it’s continuing education. I mean, do you want to go to anybody in any professional job that the last time they learned something new was 30, 40 years ago? Not interested. Right. You know, I mean, you don’t want to go to a pastor.

The last time that they’ve gotten new information, didn’t go to a Pastor’s conference was 30, 40 years ago. They’re still there. They haven’t grown as a person. So first thing I would advise them to do is number one, don’t be scared. Number two is or probably number one. Then number two. Number two, where the scaredness comes from is bow down to the Lord and ask him to remove the fear. Because we don’t control when we’re going to die. We control our attitude, but we don’t control when we die. It’s now a faith issue. And of course as brothers in Christ, we understand that God is always the first go to person on that.

You know, we do that in prayer. And I’m not going to tell you I wasn’t scared when I first got the diagnosis because I was. But whenever I got home after the hospital stay and I was getting close to that surgery, I remember the night it was, you know, 12 o’ clock in the morning. I’m walking up and down the hall, up and down the hall and I had very young kids at the time. And I’m walking in and I’m looking at my son and I’m looking at my daughter sleeping. And I went and you know, prayed a scripture out of Philippians.

And I mean I remember it like it was yesterday. It took it away from me that quick. It was Philippians 4, 6. I mean it took, I mean it was that quick. But you got to have faith to be able to do that. But that’s number one. Don’t be scared. Place it in God’s hands. Number three is read everything that’s currently published and researched. That’s such a good point. Don’t listen to what the because I could take you to six doctors and they’re all going to tell you the same thing and you’re going to go home and go, well, I guess that’s what we got to do.

But that’s not the latest new stuff because they haven’t researched it. If that makes you just told us from the very beginning of the production that you’ve been bringing on health experts that they’re saying, hey, if I can keep it to alive till 2030, I can get you to 100. Yeah. Why are they saying that? Research. They’re up to date? Yes, they’re up to date on their research, number one. Number two is they know that with the advancements of what we got going on, there’s going to be something that takes you to the next level. And so being connected to that research, I know a lot of this stuff firsthand that’s going on to be able to detect Number three is, four is, is I would not let anybody touch me without a genetic testing of my body.

Because what they’re finding now is what. What works for you and what works for me is more than likely two different things. And that’s where a lot of providers stop because they, they have this smorgasbord. We do this, this, this, this, and this. And it’s almost like, you know, why do we do this? I mean, I heard a, a story a long time ago. A young couple gets married and, and the wife’s making a ham and she cuts off the two ends or, and she puts it in a pot, puts the lid on it. And the husband said, well, why’d you do that? And she goes, I don’t know, my mama did that.

Let’s call her and ask her. And so they called the mom and said, you know, my husband just asked me this. I didn’t really know. Why’d you do that? She goes, I don’t know. Let’s call my mama. Your grandmother, they call the grandmother. She goes, my pot was too short. So the end result is they don’t know. Somebody said, this is the way we treat. Yeah. And they haven’t gotten around. And you, you’ve done this, you’ve gone to conferences and got around sharp minds. And then all of a sudden you walk out and go, I didn’t think about that.

Yeah, yeah. The minute we think we have all the answers, we don’t. You know, another good point, why your research is so important. Because I think the biggest benefit to AI with a common man, okay. Is the advances in medicine. And they’re happening rapidly now. So the research is becoming, is becoming available more rapidly because of AI. So I think that’s a great point. So number one, don’t be scared. Number two, do your research, spend the time. Number three, don’t listen to doctors that have been doing the same thing for years and years and years and haven’t done their research.

Number four, you mentioned this, and I think this is key. Also watch your diet because you’re right. The wrong diet can inflame what’s already inflamed in your body to a degree where it becomes more harmful. Diet because, you know, we are what we eat and that’s the truth. Well, I mean that, and this is a proven point that’s been, that’s been published here, here recently by the, by the National Institutes of Health and the, it was a 20 year study and the Journal of American Medicine Association, I think, is that what that stands for, is that sugar.

Absolutely 100% feeds cancer. Yeah. And. And what do people do immediately when they get bad news? Let’s go get some ice cream. Yeah. Let’s have a piece of pie. Or let’s have a piece of cake. And look, that was my answer for years and years and years where the answer is actually the opposite. But if that makes any sense. Yeah, no, it makes sense. You know, another thing too, for especially the men out there. Get your annual, you know, doctor visits and you know, we have this available to us right now. You got to do it.

You can’t just stay away. You gotta check your body out. It’s like anything else, like maintaining a car. You know, anything you have, you have to do maintenance on. And your body is the most important thing. And a lot of guys neglect that. I really believe, Brett, my mother in law would still be alive had she went to her doctor visits. Normally she didn’t go for whatever reason. Doesn’t matter now, but, you know, when we finally diagnosed her cancer, it was in a late stage. Yeah. But had she had her checkups, I think she’d still be alive.

I think you’re, you’re dead on. Because Dr. Casery always says is, I can do a lot with a lot of people, he said, but if you come to me on 4th and 30 on your own one yard line. Yeah, that’s a one in, you know, 10,000 chance that we’re even going to be able to move it along at all. Even though he’s taken some of these people with glioblastoma that are in stage four and kept them alive, you got a much better chance if you catch it a lot earlier when you start feeling symptoms of different things.

I felt symptoms that I didn’t know were symptoms years before that, and I felt symptoms 07, 0809, I mean, four, five, six years. I found an MRI that I had done because I’ve got bulging disc in my neck and whatnot. And in the MRI that I had done, it says that there’s a mass on my brain. Really? It says it. I got it on my phone. You didn’t pay any attention to it? I didn’t, neither did the doctor. Oh, you know what, that’s inexcusable though. I mean, for a doctor not to tell you, hey, this is not a good sign.

You know, go get this checked out. I don’t think they looked at it. I think he looked at the, the ma. I mean, the bulge and that’s what it was focused on. But I don’t think he looked at the rest of the. Part of it because, you know, they only have, you know, had. They caught it, then what happens? Who knows? I mean, but. But you got to be your own advocate is what I was gonna say. And anybody’s welcome to reach out to me. I’ll give them all the information I got and we’ll post. You know, my name’s Brett B R E.

T T last name’s Uub O U B R E. And we’ll. We’ll post where they can reach out to you. You can go to Instagram, you can go to TikTok, you can go to Facebook, you can go to Twitter. Am I missing any of them? I think that’s it. No, no, I think that’s. That’s everything. You know, one thing I want to mention, you know, you did mention that, you know, that Philippians verse hit you and just gave you a different outlook, encouraged you. When I was locked up and I was in the hole, and it was the first night that they locked me up the second time and told me I’d never be free again.

They were gonna. Everything was gonna come down on me. The government was upset. I wasn’t cooperating, and I was. I was pretty down. And then that one verse that I read, Proverbs 16, 7, when a man’s ways are pleasing to the Lord, even his enemies are at peace with him. And I said, you know what? I’ve got nothing but enemies on both sides now. I got everybody upset with me. These guys are mad because I walked away. These guys are mad because I’m not cooperating. I’m going to be in jail for the rest of my life, but God is on my side.

And that just. It turned it around for me that night. I said, no, I’m not giving into this. And that’s when I started fighting, too. So, you know, without getting into. We don’t want to discourage anybody that’s not of our faith. Okay. We’re not saying that because you still got to go through the process like Brett, as described. But being a person of faith and realizing that God is in control ultimately means a lot. Well, you know, when we’re in church yesterday, they were talking about doubt, right? And there’s still, you know, that hit me as part of the process is still going to be doubt.

But that verse took it all away from. Yeah, and it wasn’t that. I’m Talking about the 4, 6. It wasn’t that the doubt was gone in regards to whether you’re going to live and die. It Just didn’t matter anymore. Yeah. Whatever it was going to be, was going to be, and my children would have been taken care of and everything was going to be okay, regardless of which way. And I mean, I’ve heard people my whole life. I had it a little different upbringing. We grew up in church and dad was in the ministry and all those things.

And I heard people talk about those spiritual experiences my whole life, and I’d never had one. And other than, you know, being moved in church and, you know, and, you know, everybody. Everybody having a moment. Right. But that moment, I mean, that peace was. It was. I mean, to this day, it was unbelievable. Yeah. Well, I tell you about. I’m going to end it up with this. I’m reading a book now on heaven, and it’s an amazing. Everybody should read this because people. I don’t know how people exist thinking that this is it, this is it.

There’s no eternity, there’s no place to go. And, you know, heaven is mentioned throughout the Bible so often. It’s talked about Old Testament, New Testament. And I’m reading a book now and it’s so encouraging. You know, when we. You really have a relationship with God and you realize there is another place that we’re going to would be a bad place, but there is a heaven. And it kind of makes, it makes you get through life easier. I really mean it. Because, hey, we know it’s going to end. There’s no question about it. Life here on earth is going to end.

But when you know that there is a better place that you’re going to, it just, it makes things easier. Especially for me. I’m going to be 75 years old. Time is getting shorter. No matter how you look at it, it’s getting. I might have another 20, who knows? You have another 20 minutes. Well, you’re going to be another 20, 25. I’m trying to beat my dad at 103. We’ll see. But, but what I’m saying, it, it’s. It just makes all the difference in the world. You know, people, sometimes they say, well, you just need this illusion so that you can get through life.

No, I’m not that type of guy. I, I don’t. I don’t try to make myself feel better by something that’s not existing. And I’m just telling myself, to me, I want to see facts. I want to know the truth. I’m not going to kid myself. And there’s enough evidence there to support the fact that there is an eternity and there is a heaven. And hell. So I just encourage people, you know, if you’re not thinking that way, it makes a whole difference in life. Your whole outlook on life is different. Brett’s a man of faith, and that verse hit him, turned everything around.

And here he is 14 years later when he was told he had six months to live. He’s a fighter. He believes in the Lord, but he did it on his own. You know, God does help those who help themselves, because, you know, there’s that old. I love that old. What was it that. That story that people tell, you know, when the town was flooded and a Christian guy gets up on the roof and the floods are coming up on the roof, and a helicopter comes by and says, hey, jump in a helicopter. We’re going to save you.

No, don’t worry about it. I’m okay. And then a boat passes by. Hey, jump in the boat. I’m going to save you. No, don’t worry about it. I love the Lord. And then pretty soon, the flood overcomes him and he dies. He goes up to heaven. He says, God, I had so much faith in you. Why didn’t you save me? N. What are you talking about? I sent the helicopter and I sent a boat, and you didn’t jump in. Yeah. So, yeah, we got to help ourselves, too, you know, but it’s a whole different outlook. And listen, I am.

I’m happy people. We want to try to encourage you. You know, Brett is a shining example of what you can do when you, number one, don’t give in. You don’t have doubt. You’re a fighter, and you do the work. That’s what’s important. He did the work. He did the research. He didn’t trust anybody, and it worked out well for him. And it was a very serious thing that he went through. Brett could not be sitting here if he had just said, okay, you know, did the chemo, did the radiation, whatever, but he took the bull by the horn, so to speak.

And as a result of that, not only is he sitting here, his health is 99% better. He’s a very successful business guy. He’s my partner, and. And he’s got things going in the right direction. So, Brett, really appreciate it again, brother. Thank you so much. And I hope you all really got something out of this. Brett is accessible. Go to Instagram, Facebook. What other way can we reach LinkedIn, LinkedIn, TikTok. Maybe I don’t want to put your email address because then you really get flooded. But. But you can get through your dm, him or whatever. And if you can’t reach him, reach me, and I’ll get you to him.

All right, my friends. So there you have it. And, you know, it’s. You know, they say you can count the number of real friends, true friends that you’re going to have really on one hand. And I think for the most part in life, that’s true. Remember, I came out of a life where there was allegedly brotherhood and there was. At times, I don’t. I want to knock the entire life. There were guys that I had a deep love and respect for back then, unfortunately, because of the lifestyle, there was a lot of corruption, a lot of, you know, disloyalty happened at different times.

But when you can go through life with a handful of good friends, even one or two at times, you’ve really accomplished something and you see how valuable it is. And Brett’s become one of those friends in my life. My partner Tony, my friend Sam. I have a number of people that. That I really hold in high esteem, that I have a lot of value for, but really some, only a few. Just good, real friends. The kind of friend that, you know that 3 o’ clock in the morning, you got a problem, you make a call, Boom.

Drops everything, and he’s there. And. And they’re few and far in between for most people. Trust me on that. But Brett’s one of them. Hope you enjoyed it. And you know how I always leave you people always the same, never going to change, be safe. Not going to get into it tonight, but you know the deal. Be safe, be healthy again, listen to Brett’s story. Did everything to help himself and managed to survive. So you know what, you got to give yourself the best shot in life. Be he. Be healthy. And yes, of course, Brett is a brother in Christ also.

And I tell you, God bless each and every one of you. Your family, friends, communities, neighborhoods. God bless America. God bless everyone out there. That’s what we want. We want God’s blessing on everyone so that they come to the Lord at some point in their life. It’ll be a better world. Trust me on that. See you next time. Take care. If I haven’t invited you already, I’m inviting you now to our school platform, our membership platform. You know, you’re going to really benefit from it. I’m telling you, you’re going to get a lot of me. I put courses in there on business, on negotiation, on leadership.

We do zoom calls a couple of times a month. We even do Bible studies. I hold.
