You’re probably wondering why there are several swastika flags hanging from a building in Jerusalem. In 1933, this hotel served as the consulate for Nazi Germany in the 30s in Jerusalem. Established in 1891, the Hotel Fast, as it was called after 1907, was named after Abraham Fast, a leader of the German Teacher Templar Society who became its owner. The German Templars were a Christian religious movement whose essence was to prepare the ground for the second coming of Jesus Christ. And according to their belief, this would only happen by living in the Holy Land. Decades before Theodore Herzl, the father of Jewish Zionism, was born, the Christian Templar Society started plans in 1840 and then left Germany and arrived in the Levant, establishing seven settlements across Palestine.

Led by Christoph Hoffman, a Protestant theologian from Ludwigsburg, the Templars believed the second coming of Christ could be hastened by building a spiritual kingdom of God in the Holy Land. Relocating from Germany to Haifa in 1869, where a German colony can be seen on this map of Haifa, Hoffman had split from the Lutheran evangelical church in 1861, taking his cue from the New Testament concepts of Christians as temples embodying God’s spirit and as a community acting together to build God’s temple among mankind. There are different interpretations of what a temple means, and historically speaking, it refers to a kingdom.

Not just a building for prayer, but the center of an empire and a physical manifestation of the King’s relationship with the gods or God, making it integral to the kingdom’s identity and power. But building a community in what was then a neglected land was an immensely difficult endeavor. Much of the ground was swamp, malaria was rife and infant mortality was high. Arriving in Palestine decades before the first large scale immigration of Jewish Zionists, the Templars concentrated on farming. Draining the swamps, planting fields, vineyards and orchards, and employing modern working techniques unfamiliar to Palestine. They were the first to market Jaffa oranges from their settlement near Jaffa, which is still sold today.

They operate steam powered oil presses, flour mills, open the country’s first hotels, European style pharmacies, and manufactured essential commodities such as soap, cement and beer. Most of the buildings, with their distinctive red tile roofs and green shutters, are intact, protected by a preservation order and lend the district a continental elegance which has helped make it one of Jerusalem’s most expensive areas. Here’s a biblical verse on a former Templar house in the German colony which reads, Arise, shine, for your light has come and the glory of the Lord rises upon you. According to Jacob Eisler, a Templar historian in Stuttgart, Germany, in the first years of Jewish Immigration in Palestine, the know how in terms of agricultural and industrial modernization was in the hands of the Germans.

Although they were few in number, they had a very big impact on the whole of society and especially on the Jews who came there. Without the help of the Templars, it would have been much more complicated for the Jewish settlers to establish so much. If you compare the modernity of Jewish colonies in the 1880s and 90s with the German colonies at that time. The Germans are leading. While Palestine was worlds apart from Germany, the Templars remained fiercely patriotic, proudly retaining their German citizenship and even their Swabian dialect. Swabia is a region in southwestern Germany which got its name from the Aryan tribes called the Subi and Alemanni.

Several cultures still refer to Germany as Alemann or Alemannia, such as French, Spanish, Arabic and Farsi, the language of Iran. Subi is where we get the term Swabia, as in Neuschwabenland, the name given to a part of Antarctica annexed by Nazi Germany in 1938, where they built a base below the ice, accessible only by U boat, which I covered in several videos about Operation Highjump. When the German Kaiser Wilhelm II visited Jerusalem in 1898, the Templars turned out in their finest attire to cheer him and their colony of Wilhelma near Jaffa was named in honor of King Wilhelm II of Wurtenburg.

With the advent of World War I, many Templars went to fight for Germany, dying in the battlefields of Europe and in Palestine, which was eventually conquered by the British. Germany’s defeat was disastrous for the Templars. Their German loyalties meant they were now considered enemy aliens by the British and in 1918850 of them were sent to internment camps in Egypt and their properties and livestock seized. It would be another three years before they were all allowed back to rebuild their now dilapidated settlements. The returnees displayed the same drive as their predecessors half a century before. Relations between Templars and the new incoming Jewish community remained good, and despite increasing violence between Jews and Arabs in Palestine, life for the Templars was peaceful.

This changed with the rise of Nazi Germany. A branch was established in Haifa by Templar Karl Ruff in 1933 and other Templar colonies followed, including Jerusalem. In Jerusalem, a teacher at one of the Templar schools became the local party chief and led efforts to ensure Nazism permeated all aspects of German life there. The British Boy Scouts and Girl Guides which operated in the German colony were replaced by the Hitler Youth and League of German Maidens. Workers joined the Nazi labor organization and party members greeted each other in the streets of Jerusalem with Heil Hitler and a Nazi salute.

This 1938 newspaper article exclaims Hitler made Haifa as a Jewish proverb in regards to the 60,000 German Jews that immigrated to British ruled Palestine aboard Nazi ships as a direct result of of the alliance between Hitler and the Zionists who incidentally rejected the 1933 Jewish boycott against Germany and helped them circumvent it. An inconvenient alliance that academia and the media refuses to discuss as it goes against the established narrative. On September 3rd, 1939 when Britain along with France declared declared war on Germany, all Germans in Palestine were for the second time classed as enemy aliens and four Templar settlements were sealed off and turned into internment camps for Germans.

For the next two years the Templars were allowed to function as agricultural communities behind barbed wire and under guard, but were eventually deported to internment camps in Cyprus and Australia. The movement was reconstituted as the Temple Society in Germany and Australia and in 1962 it was paid 54 million Deutsche marks by Israel for the loss of its properties, the equivalent of about $150 million in today’s money. It is interesting to note that the last time a significant population of Germanic people tried to reclaim Jerusalem was during the Crusades, which included the Knights Templar, who spelled their name with an ar instead of an er like Templars.

But both terms refer to the Temple of Solomon with the Seal of Solomon adopted in addition to the Red Cross as a symbol by the Templars that is now famously featured on the flag of modern Israel. The Crusades can be interpreted as an early manifestation of Zionism, where European Christians were driven by a fervent desire to reclaim and purify the Holy Land. Just as modern Zionism seeks to restore Jewish sovereignty over Israel as a fulfillment of biblical prophecy and spiritual heritage, the Crusaders viewed Jerusalem not merely as a territorial prize but but as the Sacred heart of Christendom, a site of apocalyptic significance where control over the holy sites like the Temple Mount not only symbolized a reconnection with divine origins, but biblical prophecy tied to a second coming and a thousand year kingdom.

This spiritual imperialism, fueled by millenarian visions of ushering in a new era under God’s favor, parallel Zionism’s messianic undertones, transforming military conquest into a holy pilgrimage to reclaim a promised land from perceived infidels. The Knights Templar in particular embodied this proto Zionist ethos through their kabbalistic influences, positioning them as guardians of ancient ancient mystical knowledge which later re emerged as esoteric Jewish traditions. European secret societies maintain that the Templars acquired mysticism based esoteric practices during excavations beneath the Temple of Solomon, blending Christian chivalry with kabbalistic symbolism like the Tetragrammaton in their rituals. Some accounts even suggest that the Templars descended from Israelite initiates who fled Jerusalem into Europe centuries earlier, adopting a covert Israelite identity under a Christian facade to safeguard the spiritual essence of Zion.

Thus framing their defense of the Holy Land as an early spiritually veiled form of Zionist reclamation. There’s a very interesting story in Christian history with a group of people called the Knights Templar. The Knights Templar was a group of people, a society, secret or not. They were a group of people that would guard the place of the Holy Temple on the site in Jerusalem where the Holy Temple was built. Now, the Knights Templar were originally part of the Catholic Church. At a certain point in time, the Catholic Church got into some type of a quarrel with them, wanted to kill them all out.

And they ended up running away to Scotland where they settled, where coincidentally is where the Freemasons also started. And many people feel that the Freemasons was a continuation of this group called the Knights Templar. Now why did the Knights Templar get into a quarrel with the Catholic Church? There is a legend that the Templars were Gnostic from the very beginning. They were not Christian in the sense that any of our viewers would understand the term. To trace the origins of the Templars, you have to trace back the families who founded the order. And they claim to be descendants of The Mamadot, the 24 high priestly families of the Temple of Jerusalem at the time of Jesus and their descendants when Jerusalem was destroyed in AD 70, scattered throughout the known world.

And they passed their teaching down from father to child, down through the generations. And that’s how the Templars and the later Freemasons came a lot closer to the true teachings of Jesus than you will ever find in any Christian Church. Christianity does not arise from the teachings of Jesus. It arises from the distorted visions of a man called Saul of Tarsus, better known to Christians as St. Paul. He’s the man who deified Jesus and declared Jesus was his Lord and savior. And that Jesus had somehow died as a humanized sacrificial goat to redeem us from sin.

Jesus was a Jew and joined the Essenes where he became the teacher of a sect known as the Nazarenes. He was not in the business of starting a new religion. He was in the business of simplifying his own religion. And his teachings can still be found in Christianity. But they’re so deeply buried amongst a Mass of dogma, lies and distortions, they’re damnably difficult to find. The Templars rose to fire very, very quickly because the foundation of the Order was the fruition of a long standing conspiracy. Bear in mind the early 1100s Communications in Europe were incredibly bad.

So for things to happen at the speed they did, they had been planned for a very long time. The Templar Order was founded somewhere between 1095 and 1118. They were a body that were founded to be the militant arm of the Hidden Families, the descendants of the mamadot known as Rex Deers. And they were not fighting for Christianity. They were fighting to regain their own true inheritance, the Holy Land of Israel. They were incredibly astute. They were supported by a network of secret families that ranged right throughout Europe. And they were given grants of land, towns, farms, mills, quarries, the whole bit.

And the profits from this were channeled to the Holy Land to maintain their standing army, which was quite a considerable one. It was the first standing army in Europe since the fall of the Roman Empire. And to maintain it, they developed skills in banking and finance and land management, which have never been exceeded. They held land from the Baltic in the north to the Balearics in the south, from Portugal in the west, right through Europe up to and including large slices of the Holy Land. They had business dealings in every climatic zone in Europe. They had their own fleet, they transported people to and from the Holy Land, as well as their own troops and their supplies.

It was one hell of a big enterprise. They invented a precursor of today’s credit card back in the 1200s, a precursor of our chequebook back in the 1200s. They even took a hand in what we would now call the package tour industry, encouraging pilgrimage and organizing it for people and making a profit from it. They were a truly remarkable order. Because of their commercial activities, they transformed the face of Europe. By protecting the pilgrimage routes, they enabled overland trade to be conducted safely. And so a new class of people began to emerge, called the mercantile classes, who started to accumulate capital for the first time.

It was the foundation of capitalism. And their banking skills were such that they lent money to priests and princes, to bishops, to emperors, to kings, and even to popes. They were immensely powerful and seemingly invulnerable. And then, due to the greed of an evil French king, King Philip Le Bel, there was a mass arrest on Friday the 13th in 1307, when nearly all the Templars in France were arrested, handed over to the tender mercies of the Inquisition for torture and charged with heresy. It was never actually convicted as an Order of any crime. Its leaders were based on confessions extracted under torture.

But its grandmaster, Jacques de Molay, publicly renounced his confession and said he would not live a lie and that the Order was innocent. He was cooked over a slow fire for his parents, so that his agony would be as prolonged as possible and his bones could be ground to dust, so there would be no relics for people to follow. A hell of a lot of them were burnt at the stake. Lots more died under torture, and the few survivors were disbanded as an order by order of the Pope. In 1314, everybody in Europe became very, very careful.

You didn’t upset the Inquisition at any price, or you’d be invited along to the next Church barbecue, only you were going to be on the menu. But what is heresy? The Church defines it as any distortion of divinely revealed truth that the Church claims to be true, whether that distortion is by a believer or an unbeliever. I keep it simple. It’s the use of your God’s gift of free will in matters of faith and belief that constitutes heresy, because the Church selects its own agenda and persecutes anybody who doesn’t subscribe to it. It’s as simple as that.

There’s one particular cross called the Quasi L’ est, which appears on several of our artifacts, which signifies hidden wisdom, which in the Church’s eyes is a heresy. Immediately, there’s the carving on the little vase, which could well be Sophia, the goddess of wisdom. And there’s a mandala at the bottom of that vessel, which is worth looking at, which implies the same thing. It’s constant repetition of a particular trend of belief, Gnosticism, veneration of sacred wisdom. And this type of belief predates Christianity and Judaism by many thousands of years. The Templars were accused of worshipping Baphomet, which is a word that can only be understood after applying the Atbash cipher.

As early as 500 BC, scribes writing the Book of Jeremiah used this cipher in Hebrew, which replaces the first letter of the Alphabet, which is substituted for the last, the second letter for the second, to the last, and so on. This cipher was applied to the Dead Sea Scrolls and many others. And when applied to the word baphomet in Hebrew, it reveals the Greek word Sophia in Hebrew, considered the Goddess, the bride of God, and of course, translates to wisdom. Sophia is the personification of divine wisdom, appearing across various spiritual traditions as a powerful feminine figure symbolizing spiritual insight, creation and the Holy Spirit or feminine aspect of God.

Often symbolized by a dove or a rose, It has been held by many that the Templars were followers of the Goddess, or at the very least, in re establishing the feminine aspect of divinity that had been excised by the Church, which is why their cathedrals revered the Mary and held depictions of the Black Madonna, which has nothing to do with race or skin color, but is symbolic of the sacred mysteries. These Gnostic practices were considered heretical by the Church, so were guarded by alchemists who disguised spiritual tantric techniques of energetic transmutation by outwardly stating that they were transmuting lead to gold.

The Rosicrucians and later the Freemasons inherited the secrets of gnosis, which means knowledge, but not intellectual knowledge, the kind that comes from inside an internal wisdom, which is where the term philosophy comes from. Philo means love, and Sophia is wisdom. So philosophy means the love of wisdom or gnosis. The search for the Holy Grail predates Christianity by many years. It’s got absolutely nothing to do with Christianity. There is a Christianized version of it. The ancient Celts had it, the cauldron of plenty. The Hebrew people had it. The grail for them was the stone that fell from heaven.

The Christianized version talks about the cup that heals, that gives everlasting life. Now, people have gone to enormous lengths to try and track down one version or another of these. And the most popular Christianized story supposedly, is the cup that Jesus used at the Last Supper that Joseph of Arimathea used to collect his blood after the crucifixion. Now, I have very considerable doubts about both of those stories. First of all, the cup that Jesus used at the Last Supper would have been no different from the cup anybody else used at the Last Supper. And secondly, you didn’t collect blood from corpses in Jewish tradition.

It’s the last thing you did. The corpse had to be buried whole and entire. And that wonderful American professor, Joseph Campbell, when asked about the Grail, said, why should any medieval knight go out and search for a relic, however holy, when if he wanted a miracle, all he had to do was go to church and take communion, and he partook directly of the body and blood of Jesus? He said, no, the Grail is a coded, allegorical description of the pathway to enlightenment. And to back up his argument, he cited a passage from the Gospel of Thomas.

He who drinks from my mouth, I shall become he, and he shall become me. And that, according to Campbell, is the whole point of the Grail. It’s a transformative process. It’s not an object. It’s an intellectual and spiritual change. And the Whole principle of alchemy was the same. Alchemy wasn’t about transmuting base lead into gold. It was about transforming the base, leaden, raw humanity into the pure gold of spiritual knowledge and enlightenment. They were all stories weaving around the same team, which they couldn’t be told in the open because the Church would have come down like a ton of bricks and persecuted you for it.

The Church wanted a monopoly on everything that was vaguely religious, and they got it by brute force. So people had to learn to hide, tell allegorical stories, encode their messages in Church art in a different way to get their message across. The same teaching in one form or another, can be found in different branches of Freemasonry, because Freemasonry was founded by the same families who founded the original Knights Templar. So the teaching went down. There’s not a dream connection, but there’s an indirect one. And the Templar tradition, the Masonic tradition, are not the only sole vehicles for this type of teaching.

One of my favorite spiritual teachers was Jalaluddin Rumi, who said, there is a pathway that is the foundation for all the great faiths that pervades each one of them and then rises above them all. And that is the pathway of love. That is the pathway taught by Jesus. That is the pathway taught by the Kabbalah, that is the pathway taught by the Sufi traditions, and that is the pathway taught by the Buddhist tradition. And we need more of that today, above all times, not less. The Seal of Solomon, or six pointed Hexocram, is called Shat Kona in Hindu Tantra, representing the union of the masculine and feminine energies which later emerged in European alchemical societies, such as the Rosicrucians and Freemasons and other Kabbalistic organizations which practice internal alchemy.

It is also prominent in Islamic mysticism as well as Buddhism, particularly in Tibet, especially in Taoist sexual practices, where the practice of energetic cultivation of chi, or life force energy, stretches back into antiquity. The hexagram, or six pointed star, also symbolizes the joining of divine realms and the physical world, representing the union of opposites like spirit and matter, heaven and earth, embodying the principles as above, so below, of course, the Seal of Solomon is an ancient symbol that predates modern Judaism, with many rabbis unable to account for its origins. Today we’re going to be giving a little bit of history and insight into the Star of David symbol.

It’s known in Hebrew as the Magen David, which literally means the Shield of David. The truth is that the interlocking symmetrical triangle was a common symbol in the east, in the ancient world. The hexagram also was very common in Shinto belief in Japan and an astrological figure in Persia. The history of the Star of David itself, nobody’s really quite sure where it originated or how it became like such a prominent identifiable symbol with Judaism. Most of us realize this is one of the most widely recognized symbols in all of Jewish culture. And what we want to look at tonight is the origins of such a symbol and where it might come from.

Unfortunately, there isn’t any real direct reference to the Jewish star or the Magen David in any of our biblical literature or Talmudic literature, even in our kabbalistic and midrashic literature. And even the famous Jewish philosopher and academic Gershom Sholem, who passed away in 1982, was a scholar who insisted that the Magen David was not a Jewish symbol at all. And he refused to accept the idea that there was any connection between the Star of David, the Magen David and Judaism to speak of. In remote antiquity, the Seal of Solomon appeared alongside the swastika in numerous cultures such as the Phoenicians, Hindus and Buddhists, all influenced by ancient Aryans.

In a peer reviewed paper by Anatoly Kleosoft, the paternal haplogroup of the proto Indo Europeans or Aryans is R1A, belonging to nobility that swept out of the Russian plains and Caucasus thousands of years ago, traveling to Mesopotamia and Ur in modern Iraq, where Abraham’s birthplace was said to be. And other parts of the Middle east where ancient blue eyed blonde migrants from Iran and Turkey settled, introducing the Chalcolithic or Copper Age to the Levant. It was in Iran during the Bronze Age where mixing between R1A and R1B took place. Their paths crossing in the Middle east before their major expansions into Europe and India.

R1A and R1B are both strongly associated with the expansion of Indo European languages and cultures, often linked to the ancient Aryan migrations in a genetic rather than strictly linguistic context. That said, around 50% of the population in places like Poland, Ukraine, Belarus, Russia, Hungary, Baltic states like Slovakia, Iran and parts of Germany, particularly in the east, belong to R1A. Incidentally, R1A, the Aryan haplotype, also belongs to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, with R1B appearing in large parts of Italy, Spain, France, Britain, Ireland and the rest of Germany. You know, I’m proud to have that German blood, there’s no question about it.

Great stuff. In 1975, the hotel was destroyed and this story left out of the history books, but is kept alive by those of us who insist on carrying the torch of truth, no matter where it leads.
