To understand how the masses are kept in this trance, we have to look at the source, the signal. They only need to buy off a small percentage of humans to act as the middle management of our prison. These collaborators are the ones who police the thoughts of others, who ridicule the truth seekers, and who ensure the signal remains uninterrupted.

Finally, we have to address the underground resistance. In the movie, the resistance isn’t some massive well-funded army. Again, this connects back to this all being a spiritual battle. Think about it. The elite operate out of Hollywood, while the resistance operates out of a church. It’s a clear reference to the spiritual battle we’re all in, and they live. The resistance is eventually forced to realize that you cannot fix the system from the inside.

You cannot vote the aliens out. You have to destroy the transmitter. You have to cut off the frequency that allows the illusion to exist.
