Gethsemane II : Dont be a Sisyphus Break Free!

Can you hear? One foot in front of the other but the end is not seen near I’m tired, Lord, can you see? My pain of smile is wide as mild when courage others not to fear I humiliate myself so another shame won’t come near I make myself low and allow others to grow in spite of myself And still, I know all is well So what should I say? You’ve given and taken, you’ve blessed me and left me feeling forsaken Fatherless penniless, no direction did I mention With only hope in the prayer that my life would have meaning And an artificially bloated Simulacum streaming somewhere I know I’m complaining and you have no need for my explaining But I have not found one that is sincere Where is my guide? Where is my emo? Where is my priest to wrap it down here? Where is my father that answers back loud and clear? Everything’s for me and so ridiculously loud out here This world is a circus and you form me into someone for many to call a clown A blind worm who churns and turns beneath the ground A laughing stock of lightning from those in power to mock An overachiever because work was never dispersed When you place me on this chopping block I’m annoyed and avoid with no truth about Can you hear me, Lord? Can you hear me? I have to let this out Fatherless penniless, abused, sick and alone I’ve lost my children, all my belongings and more than one home And I know, Lord, perhaps it wasn’t my fault alone And I know I’ve most likely reaped what I’ve sown And yes, you’ve given me double for all that I’ve lost But when word never feel like I’ve paid the cost You’re blessed to be complaining, you’re stressed to be explaining I’ve had so much go right and so much go wrong Sometimes I feel where I’m most real I’ll simply don’t belong like a big dog I’m always waiting for those forty lashes to come along Why can’t my peace be the chorus in the song? Have I mentioned they keep changing my wages and I’ve seen wrong Your choice is hard for less, half the joy, double the stress It’s time for you to unwind this mess God, you know I’ve done my best But if you could step in and help my family and friends with the rest Hell is a vacuum, you are the plug Fill us with your wisdom, fill us with love Forgive me my whining, it’s always about the timing I’m so much more than I ever want But to know that you are proud of me is something that I simply can’t seem to be taught
