Why, oh, why are they so lost? They walk in darkness, lying to each other to feel better about themselves. They are lost, children clinging to the bars of their self-made hell. Surely there must be a way to show them without loss. In truth, all will never be well. I looked into the eyes of that which I despised and said, surely that is not me. I know a greater truth than it is one that set me free. I banged my chest and shouted on high, let me see their escape, let me see, let me see.
It was then the morning sun dawned on me. I looked into the eyes of that which I despised and for the first time saw clearly that which I saw which disgusted and pained me. So was nothing more than a reflection of me. And so I learned that my heart had burned, not because others could not look, but because I could not love them unconditionally. For I am them and they are me, until this truth my eyes could see, never a day of peace and harmony. It was things I despised once put before my eyes helped set me free.
Gone are the days of judging eyes into the arms of hope and charity. Will I nestle this world to create a brighter image of me?
