For days will come upon you when your enemies will build an embankment around you, surround you, and close you in on every side, and level you and your children within you to the ground.

They will not leave in you one stone upon another because you did not know the time of your visitation. Jesus gave a similar prophecy to his disciples in regards to the temple being destroyed. Then Jesus went out and departed from the temple and his disciples came up to show him the buildings of the temple and Jesus said to them, Do you not see all these things? Assuredly I say to you, not one stone shall be left here upon another that shall not be thrown down. Jesus reaffirmed this in another prophecy saying, Assuredly I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place.

A fulfillment of these three prophecies all happened about 70 years later when the Romans came and destroyed Jerusalem in which some of the evidence of this is still seen today. See this writing? Jesus gave a prophecy that the jewish people would be led away captive Also that jerusalem would be ruled by gentiles, but that their rule would eventually end And they will fall by the edge of the sword and be led away captive into all nations And jerusalem will be trampled by gentiles until the times of the gentiles are fulfilled This is exactly what history shows Jerusalem was trampled by the gentiles in 70 ad jewish people were led away captive But not forever the gentiles ruled in jerusalem for about two thousand years But now the jewish people are in control there once again and the times of the gentiles have been fulfilled These next two prophecies.

He was bruised for our iniquities The chastisement of our peace was upon him and by his stripes. No, they’ve just been taught it and they believe it But in contrast I realized the disciples were in a unique position Of all human beings who’ve ever lived in the history the disciples were in a position to know for a fact Did jesus return from the dead and prove he’s the son of god or didn’t he is this a lie or is it the truth? They talked to the risen christ.

They touched him. They ate with them. They knew the truth And knowing the truth that were willing to die for the proclamation that jesus had risen That tells me something about the veracity of their claims And that I think was the final fact that just made the scales go like that and convince me the resurrection is true After jesus was resurrected He sent us his holy spirit through the spirit The life of jesus was brought to remembrance to his disciples to document his life in the holy scriptures But the helper the holy spirit whom the father will send in my name Will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you This is also fulfilled in another prophecy.
