So there has to be an alert out for that. And here we’ll take a look at this in motion. You can see right there where it sparks. It’s pretty much as earth directed as you can get off that lower band on the sun. This is the largest flare of this solar cycle and it looks like there could be more coming as we’ve got more sunspots coming around the limb. And I would expect them to put out an alert for a solar storm to hit earth a second one here anytime within the next 24 hours and it will probably be for around the fifth or sixth when that energy gets to the planet.

But the initial burst like right there that you see that happens this immediately causes blackouts on earth in terms of shortwave radio communications. And in the past 1967 it almost sparked big war because the United States had their radars kind of messed up and jammed from a solar event. They thought it was the enemy and luckily they figured out that they were wrong and that it was from the sun before they made any crazy moves. But this is the latest the sun picking up steam. We’ve got this massive earth directed solar flare now emitting from the sun.

I’ll update with more information as I get it. But this should also add to the skyline the auroras for people out there trying to observe the comments.
