It seems Colombia’s not on board. He’s a deterrent now, and that they’re both basically on the chopping block. So, this Gustavo Petro just did this interview, and it seemed to be going good until the very end, where all of a sudden he makes these statements like the easiest way is going to be to take out Trump. Now, they don’t clarify what he means by that, whether it’s by lethal force, whether it’s by election. They don’t make that statement. But he just says, remove Trump, our problem’s gone, basically. I’m not so sure that that’s going to be the case, but he’s getting cornered here, and he is calling for the removal of Trump openly.
This shows that these guys, they’re going to get hammered, man. Venezuela and Colombia both are going to get hammered. Now, you’ve got to think about the people that live in these countries, man. Venezuela, Colombia, lots of people that don’t want anything to do with things that are bad, with war, all this stuff. And they depend also on the U.S. economy. All these countries do, big time. If they get cut off, it affects the people big time. So this puts the leadership in a tricky position. But if you’re a dictator, so to speak, that has a strong grip on power in the country similar to Maduro, it could be a different animal.
I don’t know what the control is like here for this Colombian president, but it seems like he’s jumping on board with Maduro, and they’re basically saying that if you’re coming down here, you’ve got this whole block to mess with. I would expect at any time this to start escalating, it’s going to start, I would say, with Maduro and the decapitation strike on him. They’re going to at least attempt to.
