They also discuss the rescue efforts, including a viral video about the situation. The hosts draw parallels between the current situation and a similar flood in 1987, questioning why preventative measures were not put in place.
➡ A bus carrying 39 teenagers and four adults was swept into water, resulting in the unfortunate death of 10 teenagers. The text also discusses the unexpected flooding in North Carolina, hinting at possible conspiracy theories related to a billion-dollar contract for a lithium mine in the area. The text then shifts to discuss the harmful effects of the oil industry, particularly the widespread use of plastic and its impact on health and the environment. Lastly, it introduces Sean, a military veteran who overcame addiction and adversity, and now uses his experiences to help others through his podcast and a movie about his life.
➡ The speaker shares his experience of helping out in a disaster-stricken area. He talks about the initial shock of seeing the destruction, the confusion among different agencies, and the increasing number of volunteers. Sa Sam Foreign is the cloud seeding rainmaker connected to the Texas floods? Jump into the facts and rumors on this edge of wonder live with Ben and Rob. Yeah. And Texas has. Has experienced one of its worst floods in history with over 100 deaths and many people still missing. Tonight on the show, we’ll also have special guest Sean Livingston, who has the podcast I Am Redemption. He’s made now a viral video about the rescue efforts in Texas and is going to talk to us about the situation tonight. In this episode, we’ll examine a map of the cloud seeding locations to determine if they correspond with the areas affected by.

By flooding and by the company Rainmaker. Yeah. And at the end of the show, don’t miss the live Q and A followed by a meditation prayer for everything that’s going on in the world, exclusively on Rise tv. And with that, we’ll see you guys out on the edge. How are you doing, Rob? Good, Ben. How are you? Good. It’s just wild what’s happening in Texas because I think both you and I have a lot of friends that are still there and. Yeah. Yep. Used to live there. Lots of family there. Been worried about them, you know.

Yeah. Same thing so far. Like, everybody I know is. Seems to be okay, but there’s just a lot of weird coincidences, especially related to. Very weird. A lot of weird coincidences over the last several years. Never mind. That’s true. This hill country, this part of Texas is. If you haven’t been to Texas, I mean, Hill country is the most beautiful part of Texas. It looks like la. I mean, it’s. It’s just beautiful. It’s where everyone wants to live. If you’re from Texas, it’s where everyone travels to. So it is a. It’s a damn shame. Yeah. Is what it is.

Mm. Just all the families affected. I mean, it’s crazy. Yeah. So to kind of give. Lindsay, you can pull this up. Everything we think we know about the. Or everything we know about the text. This is just like a general overview of, you know, kind of what’s going on. But basically, by July 2, the Texas Division of Emergency Management, they started predicting heavy rainfall and flooding and, you know, telling people to be prepared. And they also were preparing rescue teams just in case anything were to happen. July 3rd, the national weather. You can leave that up just so you can show.

Oh, she’s pulling up images. Okay. Yeah. National Weather Service issues a flash flood watch for Kerr county and which is that area right there and the surrounding areas. We’re going to. We’re going to talk more about Kerr county and how weird this is. And then by July 4th, 4th of July, the flooding hit Kerr county specifically. And then. And I guess the river went up to 36ft after 11 to 2ft of rain. And then it just immediately flash flood. There’s all kinds of videos out there of like, showing how fast this happened. Camp mystic, which is at the center of this, which we’re gonna.

We’re gonna show a video about Camp Mystic. This is kind of crazy. The same thing happened in 1987. Exact same camp, exact same scenario. Also affecting Christian’s. Christian children that were there at the camp mimics the exact same thing that happened. It’s kind of weird, actually. It’s too weird for it. It’s too weird. Let me just put it that way. It’s too weird. We’re gonna get into that. And then July 5th, that’s when, you know, obviously it’s hard to do things when. When the actual event is happening. I mean, I’ve been through a couple hurricanes now in.

In Florida. Aftermath of hurricane Ian was probably the most devastating aftermath I’ve ever seen. Also Hurricane Sandy. You and I were in hurricane Sandy for. Or wait, you weren’t in New York during that time? I think I remember. I think I came in. Yeah, like, I came in the next weekend or something like that. I was not there at that moment. I don’t think. Yeah, I remember it. I remember it really clearly. It was a miracle because we were at the office at the epic times, the. Or. Yeah, the epoch times at that time. And there was a few of us that just stayed there.

I didn’t even go home. I was just sleeping at the office for three days. Because. Because you went live non stop, man. Yeah, because we couldn’t. We couldn’t. We couldn’t even go home. So you were like one of those weather forecasters that were like getting blown around and stop signs hitting you in the head while you were trying to report on the hurricane. Kind of was. But it was wild because by some miracle, we never lost power where we were. It was like all the power went off from, like, we’re at 28th street and like, literally it was either 26 or 27th street below.

All power went out right after, like 26 or 27. It was like all power was on. Tell you what, the. The power grid in New York City is just as mysterious as the. The weather has been recently. Yeah, it’s true. Oh, yeah. Anyway. Well, so far, you know, they’re. They’re. They’re they said the death. Death toll is about 100, 506. And with rescue efforts still underway, you know, July 5th, that’s when everyone kind of went out to start helping. We’re going to have Sean kind of talk about his experience with what happened and what’s going on.

So now with this viral video that came out. But yeah, so this, this is wild. This is. This Camp Mystic Haven generations for Texas, mostly like Christian church groups, youth. Youth groups that always come to these things. And the campgrounds do span over 700 acres in hill County. That’s. That’s a man. That’s such a long, long area. But by Saturday afternoon, the scene was grim. While buildings were still standing, cars were overlapping each other inside the cabins. Camp campers belongings had been left behind and were smashed against windows. I want. I. I heard that there was like a bus too, that had possibly children on it, that they were pulling people out of the.

The bus, like out of the windows of the bus, from what I’ve heard. Well, and the same thing happened in 1987, so exact same scenario, 1987. And I’m sorry, I’m not sure how to pronounce the river. Is it Guadalupe? Guadalupe. Guadalupe River. Our Texas brothers may pronounce it differently, but I’m sure they do. But yeah, this, this same thing re. It’s. It’s crazy. Actually. Lindsay, why don’t. Why don’t you pull up this. This video here, this Instagram video. This is. This is actually William Shatner reporting. Sorry, I was like, now like 98 years old. Yeah. Yeah.

Friday morning, July 17, 1987. The small town of Comfort, Texas, became the scene of a heroic rescue and tragic loss. Much of the footage you will see was taped on that day by the banks of the Guadalupe river was the day they were supposed to go home. The more than 300 children at the church camp were awakened early. The river was flooded. If they didn’t leave soon, their buses might not be able to leave at all. They come in there rushing us up and everything, tell us, get up, get packed and all this stuff. And everybody was asking why? Why? They said, we gotta get out of here because the river was flowing over.

We started going around the corner. Would it go down the hill? Then water started coming in the bus and stuff. We tried to back up, but then the bus got stuck. So they made all of us get out of the bus and that’s whenever the first wave hit us and started scattering people to different trees. Oh, my gosh, that’s nuts. Kids clinging onto them. The Trees like ants surrounded by rushing water. Chris Ray was the first to do this. It’s just so crazy that this is, this is like the same thing that’s basically happening right now.

Blood. As news bulletin spread the word of the flood and accident, more help arrived. But many parents fear the worst. I know for me that it was like, you’ve got two daughters down there now obviously they both are not going to make it. You know, which one would you choose? Which one would you have come back? It seemed like every tree had a facial in it. Okay. It was a very dangerous situation when we’re literally surrounded by trees licking trees. Clear blades. Here she is right there. Okay. She died. He couldn’t go back. She took her.

Masterman tried repeatedly to rescue 14 year old Melanie Finley, but she was ripped away by the river. So again this is in 1987. The rescuers were lowered knowing that if they got caught in the trees they would be cut loose. Sergeant MacKenzie first tried to reach 16 year old Scott Chatham. Already here. That’s fine. I just kind of wanted to show this. But what, what’s wild about this is that they, they rescued everybody from the bus, you know, so you would think that they would implement some kind of possible future scenario in case this did happen again, which it did, the exact same scenario.

And there was. So once again it was on. There was a bus full of 39 teenagers and four adults. And it was this, this happened over the weekend, same thing. Bus swept into the waters and. But unfortunately, well they did, they were able to rescue 33 of the people that were on the bus. But 10 of them, well it says, oh yeah, 10 of them died altogether. So unfortunately 10 of the teenagers drowned. They weren’t able to rescue them. Awful. But it’s. I, you know, I mean I, I think at this point, you know, with everything going on in the world, it’s like, of course there’s like natural disasters that happen, you know, but at the same time it’s like we don’t know like what is going on anymore.

You know, they’re like, look at North Carolina. I mean there was flooding in North Carolina where there’s never been a history of flooding in the mountains no less, you know. And then all of a sudden it’s like Hurricane Helene just goes there. Well, word on the street is actually they, that that area is a flood zone in North Carolina and that, you know, if you get into the conspiracy theories on that one and you start digging, you find a lot of stuff equally as strange, let me put it that way. Yeah, we did do a show about it when it first happened.

I can’t remember all the details, but you know, the lithium mine, that was. It was just a weird coincidence that there happened to be this contract for like a billion dollar contract for the lithium mine in the area. And you’re like, okay, is there any connection here? I don’t know, you know, but it is weird. But sometimes, if there is foul play here, sometimes I wonder if those people understand that they are screwed. Like, cosmically, spiritually screwed, you know? Doing it, you mean? Yeah, if there is. Yeah, for sure. Well, I wanted to. Okay, why don’t we show this or what? So.

So why don’t we go into a trailer, we get back, we’ll show the Sean Livington’s video and then we’ll have him on the show and talk to him firsthand. So why don’t we go into a trailer right now? This is a good time to do it. The planet is dying. Reduce, reuse, recycle. We’re made to feel guilty for causing climate change. But what if this is a bigger agenda being financed by Big Oil itself? In Edge of Wonder’s explosive series, the big Oil industrial complex, we ask, is it all a big scam when it comes to oil, it does so much more than just provide our gas.

Yet people know very little about how much oil goes into creating one of the biggest potential health threats on the planet right now. Plastic bike to work. Watch your carbon footprint. Don’t use plastic straws. Are the companies pointing fingers really the ones responsible for the destruction? Why are there plastics in our blood? And if everyone cares so much, then why is there not more pressure on these massive companies to make changes? Who’s really behind it all and why are they doing this? Is the focus on profits making these industries turn a blind eye to what they are really doing to our bodies? Nowadays, plastic is in everything, including all bubble gum.

Get ready for an expose that will turn the oil into industry on its head. You won’t believe what we found. All right, once again, you guys, you can find that over on our Rise TV platform along with all of our other videos that we have over there. Nearly a thousand videos, but that was our whole series that we did on the big oil industrial complex, really, and with the main focus of plastic, because, yeah, definitely there’s so much behind the scenes revolved around plastic that is not being talked about. Although now a lot more people are, I think, because, you know, they’re finding plastic now in our bloodstream and everywhere else.

I mean, do they where they was. What was it? They’ve. I think we talk about this on the show, but Mount Everest, this is like the highest peak possible on the planet. They found plastic particles, microplastics on the. On the peak of Mount Everest, you know. Yeah, but that was crazy. But I have to say, like, to me, the most interesting part of this whole series is, is the unraveling of how the oil industry got to where it is and the Rockefeller families. I mean, that whole history and how basically modern PR and marketing came from.

This entire thing is like out. It’s outrageous. Like, you have to check. Yeah. The modern pr. I’ve completely forgot, dude. It’s. It’s. That is like this most mind blowing stuff for sure. It was like. It was like, oh, we, we need damage. It was like damage control 101 for the first time ever. And it’s like, why don’t we just hire somebody that can speak for. For us? Well, but not just that. The fact that there were electric vehicles at the very beginning when they were first making them, there were actual electric plug in vehicles and there were people using gas engines from potato.

From basically alcohol that came from their own potato so that farmers could have created their own fuel. It’s like, it’s just. It’s ridiculous. Like. Yeah. And then what happens is that conveniently spearheaded by Rockefeller, you had the prohibition came in. And so then Ford was like, you know, Henry Ford was like, well, now it’s cheaper making with oil than it is with alcohol. Oh. But then. But then Ford himself started to dig in and research that stuff to even some errors in some ways. But he got crazy about that. Yeah. All right, anyway, back on topic here.

Okay, so why don’t. Lindsay, why don’t we show this video of Sean and then we’ll have Sean come in and we’ll ask him some questions and he can talk about what’s going on. So Sean, he has the podcast called I Am Redemption. And yeah, let’s just play this here in the Austin, the Texas area. We were down in Kerrville. I’m not here with Project Grit. We are help clearing away some of this debris. They’re still looking for people that have lost their lives. They’re still pulling people out. And so if you’re in the area and you were motivated and you want to come help, please give me a shout.

Call my personal cell, text, dm, whatever. We use the help down here. We got a whole bunch of people coming down. We got some other veterans coming down, but we could definitely use your help, Dang. Look at that. Oh, it’s all right. Hey, y’, all, if you’re in. Okay. Yeah. Well, so, yeah. So Sean’s with. Sean. Welcome. Welcome to the show, Sean. Hey, thanks for having me, fellas. Thank you for being here, Sean. Hey, tell us a little bit about yourself and your podcast and stuff just for everybody in the home audience so that they know kind of who you are and have a little bit of an introduction.

I’m a 10 year military veteran, kind of got injured going to training to go to Iraq, got prescribed painkillers, ended up losing my way for a long time after military service, ended up getting a whole lot of trouble and having to go away for a while, but ended up in Austin, Texas and luckily got sober, got my life on track, got involved in the running community, and then they ended up making a movie about my story called 100 Miles to Redemption. It’s on Amazon. And so that’s kind of led me around the country, trying to use my experience to help other people and speak wherever I could and which led me to doing the podcast and just being able to platform other people who I believe in, who I know out doing good in the community and just showing truly what people are capable of when they overcome adversity and how a lot of times the things we were most ashamed of can be the things that we’re most proud of and our most powerful things that happen in our life.

Yeah, I’ve actually, I have heard of this movie. In fact, I even watched part of it because I, I was talking to Sean and I was like, oh my gosh. I actually know your movie because it is very powerful. And I know other guys that are struggling with PTSD in the military, and they’ve told me that your, your movie really help them and inspire them in multiple ways. So, you know, and I was like reading, you know, the, the synopsis of your, of your story is just insane because you, you were just going through so much with the PTSD addiction.

You even had a squad leader who committed suicide and the loss of a friend and from heroin. And then it was just like you, you know, you look like you’re being arrested and all this stuff, like, no hope is lost. And then it’s like you’re. You’ve managed to like, crawl out of that and completely turn your life around. And it’s, you know, phenomenal, phenomenal story. So highly recommend people to watch that movie. Absolutely. But, but okay, going, going back. So, so okay, you’re there. Like, what, what, yeah. What are you experiencing right now? You know, helping out.

There’s a lot of rumors out there, you know, and that’s why I thought it would be good to have you on, to kind of be like, okay, here’s what’s really happening. Some people are saying that. That there’s some. Like, some people are being turned away, like what happened in North Carolina. And I was like, well, from what I’m seeing online, I don’t really know if that’s the case. But you explained it to me prior to you coming on, and I was like, okay, now it makes sense. So why don’t you, like, tell your story and how this has impacted you, Right? I mean, much like you kind of said with my story, and when I’ve been able to crawl out of.

That’s that’s only through helping other people. Once I started using my experience to help other people, that’s what changed my life. And so when something like this happens, immediately my heart is pulled to go towards it. I told my wife on two nights ago, it was like, I’m heading down there. And she kept telling me, I’m not going. And then a buddy of mine hit me up. Terrence from Project Grit hit me up that next morning at 5am and said. Said he was going, did I want to go. And then I was off to the races.

So we got down there. When we got down there, there was, you know, there was minimal. When you drive into town, you really wouldn’t. When you first drive into Kerrville, you wouldn’t think anything happened. Once you get down behind properties and down by the waters, when you start to really see the magnitude of everything. And so we found the first property owner that we could kind of get back in there. And, I mean, I’ll be honest, I’ve seen quite a bit I was not prepared for, you know, the amount of destruction that I saw. You truly start to understand what Mother Nature, what weather can do and when it wants to.

And so you just kind of walk up and, I mean, you just take a look at it, and it’s like, where do we even. How do we even start? Where do we go? But when we showed up that morning, there was. There was not many people there, so we could just kind of get going. Luckily, we came down with chainsaws and we could get right to work. There were some state police there, and they were starting to come through with canines and all that, but it was pretty minimal. That was just the start to the day.

And then we were. We were deep in the woods doing this for hours. And every Time we would come back out for water or anything like that, there would be more and more people I’d say at that by the end of the day there were probably six to seven hundred people just at our location. And you know, we started hearing about all the other locations that were, you know, that, that people were coming to help out at. It was probably towards the end where you know, almost half and half as far as agencies and then regular civilians out there trying to help.

And then we started to get a trickle. Some people that were, they were there to spectate, they were there to just kind of look, which you know, didn’t, I don’t think sat right with a lot of people. If you’re there, get your hands dirty. That was definitely the mindset of everybody there. I think what a lot of the confusion was. And you know, I, it would be easy for me to sit back at home and kind of quarterback it and understand like oh, you know, what’s going on? Why aren’t they doing this, why aren’t they doing that? But when you’re on, when your boots on ground, you quickly understand that there’s so many agencies who all have their directors directives from their higher up and they’re just trying to carry out whatever they’re told.

You have multiple helicopters going over, given different reports. So I think a lot of the confusion is a lot of these agencies getting in communication and understanding what should be done and where it should be done. And so by the end of the day that was kind of hindering us being able to do our work. They would pull, let us go in, they’d pull us back out with the dogs and we go in, back out. It was definitely a more productive morning and afternoon than it was, you know, towards the, towards when it was starting to get dark out and then.

Yeah, I mean that was basically what we saw the first day. I didn’t ever. I took a couple, a couple quick videos and it was just for reference to what I was seeing. I definitely didn’t go down there with the intent of like doing a normal social media video like I did. And that one part where at the beginning when I was talking was just off the cuff and then the next morning I put out the video and immediately it started, it started getting. And we started getting bombarded with people messaging, trying to come out and help.

And so really these last two days have been a lot of me, me trying to coordinate getting people to the right places or do they have supplies, are they going down with chainsaws, getting them tied in with the right people. And then now most of our people have gotten. Have come back to kind of regroup in Austin. Basically the agencies, once we got it cleared a little bit, the agencies are now able to like go in and actually do like a thorough, thorough casing of everything with the dogs and really start to get all the bodies that need to get out and stuff like that.

So they didn’t want civilians there. On the way back to Austin was when I started. A lot of people were sending messages in regards to my message saying that social media told them to stay away. We would come to find out that was to keep. Keep the tourists away. That was to keep all the people that were coming down there just to get video footage or unfortunately showing up to the camps where a lot of the worst stuff happened, where there’s nothing, absolutely nothing left. And so it was more tourist things. They’re trying to get. Keep people out of there.

But there, if you have a saw or you have. You have a pair of gloves and you’re ready to get your hands dirty, you’re not getting turned away by anybody. Okay. Yeah, that. That makes perfect sense. You know, and it’s always in these times because being like a. More of like a journalist for so long, whenever I encounter this stuff, it’s. It’s. I’m always like. Part of me is like, I don’t really want to film anything because I feel bad and I want to help out, you know. But then what I’ve kind of learned is that.

But you know, I always do both because then it’s, it’s. I realize now especially that people are usually thankful when you document something. Whether it’s like, you know, and. Or afterwards it’s like, oh man, I wish I kind of did this now because then would have reference to something also. It’s like I also realize, like, we don’t know really what’s going on. And so sometimes it could be looked at evidence and things like that. So. But I, it’s. I mean, but then I’m really annoyed by the people that are just doing it just solely to be like.

I just want, you know, it’s like you, you. You don’t. You don’t even have like any presence or anything. You’re just trying to do that or they do and it’s like they’re just getting it just for likes or clicks or whatever. Like, same horse, basically. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But, but especially when it’s affecting your community. Like Ian and Sandy both affected my community. You know, I, I couldn’t Even go home. So. So, like, when I was in New York, I mean, I was, you know, it was like, for three days, I wasn’t able to go get over because the bridges were closed.

So it’s like, if you were in Manhattan, you were stuck in Manhattan, and that’s what happened to me. So I was like, all right, I just stay at the office. You know. Same thing with Ian. You know, it was. It was because, I mean, I was kind of at the epicenter in Fort Myers of what happened. And, I mean, I was talking to everybody I knew who could go out. And by, like, after about a week, the. I mean, everything. They cleaned it up so quickly. The roads. I couldn’t even believe it. I mean, from the aftermath of.

Of a one week, it almost seemed like nearly a different storm because it was so bad. Now Fort Myers Beach, I mean, they’re still rebuilding it. You know, there’s. There’s still things that are just totally gone. There was a building that. That just doesn’t even exist anymore. And, you know, there was actually. We even thought about maybe using it as an office at one point in time. And it’s like, now the building doesn’t even exist. So wild. Sean, what are you seeing down there that. That you think the. Everybody at home should know about? You know, what’s the.

I guess you could say the craziest stuff you’ve seen. And. And I want to get into how you think people can help, too. I mean, the. When you talk about the craziest stuff you’ve seen, you guys have been in natural, you know, natural disasters yourself. So, I mean, anybody that’s been to war and stuff, you understand, you see things you don’t necessarily want to see. But, you know, when you. When you go walking down into. And down next to a. Next to a river or whatever, and you see campers up in the trees, you know, children’s clothing, like all these different personal items.

I actually have a. We pulled out of the rubble. Buddy of mine pulled out a rosary when I saw it, and it just. It hit me in the heart. And so I still have that. But when you just start to see people’s personal belongings and. You know what I mean, things like that that are just sitting there on. I mean, it’s hard to. It’s hard to explain, but when you see what. I know what. Picking up some of that stuff. I know how heavy it was to pick up some of just a branch with some of that muck on it like that.

And when you. To try to wrap your Head around the power of this water flowing through. For it to have basically created a mountain with that, with trees and, and cars and vehicles and it rips it apart like it’s tinfoil. I mean, it’s just complete destruction. And you just, you can’t fathom how, how Mother Nature, you know what I mean, is capable of, of that. It’s, it’s, it’s mind boggling. No, exactly what you mean. And then going back to what just to touch before. Like, you know, in that sense, it’s a very, especially when you first walk into it or something like that.

You know, most of the videos I do, I’m, you know, trying to smile or I’m talking fast or anything like that. And that was a, it just didn’t feel right to be pulling out my phone and did that. And so I just did that quick video. But you know, later on you see some people shooting a video and they’re all smiles and laughter and stuff like that where it’s just like there’s two different reasons to be doing this. And so, you know, I felt guilty pulling out my phone and doing it, but then to see the amount of people that are reaching out to, to show support and that are saying they’re going to be linking up with us to come down, that are trying to send supplies, that are trying to figure out where they can send money and all that stuff, then now I understand.

You know what I mean? Like you were saying as a doing, doing your job, it’s like, now I understand why I did it and thank God I did it. If it can, if it can help more people. Yeah, I mean, I really think it is true now what they say, that we’re kind of the media. You know, the media isn’t really reporting this stuff. So if, if guys like you don’t get out there and just show people what they’re dealing with, you know, we’re kind of, we’re kind of blind, the rest of America even, because, you know, the, the.

Not to get on a tirade here, but you know, the mainstream media isn’t what it used to be. I mean, so. Yeah, I don’t mean, I don’t mean to interrupt you, but they were interviewing with me doing a podcast. My initial thing is I want to interview people, right? And so there was a, there was a woman from the news and she was interviewing, she was interviewing a buddy of mine and you know, he did his thing and I was like, ma’, am, can I interview you real quick? And I just wanted to get a Couple questions with her.

What it’s like to be a news anchor or, you know, reporter to show up to things like that. And she kind of scoffed at me and didn’t take me serious and went to walk away. And I tried to explain a little bit, like, who I was and this and that. And she was, she was not very nice. And I was like, ah. She was kind of had like, I’m from the news type vibe. And I was like, I was like, I’m. I’m willing to, I’m willing to bet this gets more, more views than the, than the evening news tonight.

And not knowing what the post would ever do or what that would have done, but it was, it’s kind of funny to look now and be like, oh, man, I was right. Yeah, yeah, this is, I mean, this is, this is why it’s like, you know, I, I totally understand when you guys are saying like, hey, you want to be sensitive when we’re filming this stuff, and if you’re not, if you’re not in that headspace, you have a problem. But at the same time, it’s. It. I mean, think about how much good this post is doing.

The fact that hundreds of people are getting down there now because you did that. I mean, my instinct is to encourage you to do it more with whatever you’re doing, because that’s the stuff that has the impact is when you actually are in the right place and you’re doing it for the right reason and you can get people to come from that place that honestly, humans have forgotten and we need to bring them back there. So, I mean, I think it’s great and it’s amazing that you’re down there, that you went down there, that you’re probably getting in trouble with your wife.

I heard you say that. Sure. Of course. You know, any sane wife is going to try to talk their husband out of going to a place like that. Everyone cares about you, you know, but. But it is that, that human spirit and that sacrifice of, of wanting to help others that makes us human. And yeah, all of us have to do more work like that, I think. Yeah, I mean, the. I, I said it to a buddy of mine today. It’s, you know, I don’t want to sit here and bash the news or whatever like that, but if you, you watch the news or read anything, it would have you believe that this country is just full of nothing but racist people who are constantly fighting, fighting, don’t like each other and stuff like that.

But the amount of messages and the amount of Emotion of what people have and the authenticity with everything they’re saying and the people that truly care, that are literally ready to fly here right now. I’m getting messages from people over in Germany sending their, sending their love and prayers and everything like that. And so like that, that is what I think that the consensus of true people and how they really feel and not the little, little echo chamber they like to talk about on the news and all that. Yeah, I mean, you know, I lived in Texas for, for a couple of years and I lived in New York City as well.

And every time I go to New York City or down in Texas, like everyone is so cool to one another. Even in New York City too. Like, everyone. Like you’ll go into a shop and you just start a conversation with someone and you end up talking for a while and you’re like, what is all, like what is all of this nonsense I’m seeing on the news? Like, it’s just, it’s good to just shut that stuff off and, and just be real people because, you know, it’s not, it’s not like they, they, they say. It’s really not.

I’ll tell you guys, I. I took my first trip. Two things. I took my first trip out to California not long, long ago. And it was, I had a. I was, I was going to speak in an event out there and it was during the fires that were not long ago and they canceled the event and I had the ticket anyways and I was like, well, at least maybe I can go and try to help. And so I was able to go out there and link up with a veteran organization and to start to try to do some work.

And we had a couple things that I noticed that were, they were very unfortunate. And now I’m not saying it at all. I’m not saying people didn’t lose their lives, their homes or anything like that, but when I initially went out, there was the mid. When everything was going on across according to the news. And so the news was showing the Palisades engulfed in flames. Just everything going on. When I landed it, when I landed in la, there was a. There was a slight haze, but there was no active fires that I saw or anything like that.

And then we were actually like, we were at the Palisades. The current news and the world news was still showing that they were completely engulfed in flames. The Palisades wasn’t even, it wasn’t even smoldering anymore. Like it was out. We were trying to, we were trying to volunteer our time and our Efforts. They didn’t want that. We were trying to volunteer goods and all that. They didn’t want that, but they were ready to accept monetary donations. Now that just seems kind of odd to me, but. And then I remember leaving and flying out, standing next to my buddy and I leaned over and tapped him, was like, hey, check out the Palisades.

And it was still on the local news showing them engulfed in flames, keeping that, you know, that fear monger, whatever. Whatever you want to call it, keeping that going. And so, yeah, that all that just kind of disturbs me at a. At a time like this. Yeah. Yeah. Shania, I probably don’t know this, but Ben mentioned it to you. We used to work in a newsroom together, right? And one of the things that. That made us create this show is we started noticing in the newsroom that the stuff that all of the mainstream media were showing on TV was not what we were actively experiencing over and over and over and over again.

And we’re like these pieces of, you know, what are just lying all the time. Like, people need to know that there’s real stuff going on out there and what it is. And so we kind of decided to create the show so that we could research stuff on our own and start teaching people to stop listening to the talking heads on the media. Because you’re not gonna. You’re not gonna find your way that way. You really aren’t. There’s too much corporate nonsense going on with that to. To get to the. To the right place. So. So yeah, again, it’s like, that’s why this is so.

It’s so important for you. I mean, thank you so much for taking the time even to be with us and to. To tell everyone what’s happening there, because if it’s not for guys like you, we’re just not going to know the truth. We’re not. Well, that. And that’s part of the big problem is that people don’t trust. Ben, Pull your mic close to yourself, dude. I think I’m having issues with it. Hold on. Okay. Can you hear me okay? Yeah, you’re good. Go ahead. Let me see. Hold on. Yeah. Okay. I don’t know. I’m having some issues with my mic anyway.

No, that. And that’s part of the problem with the mainstream media, and people are just don’t trust it enough. And. And that’s why even I go to X, you know, because you. You. You see firsthand accounts of what’s happening in real time, whereas the media, it’s just like, oh, you Know, kind of a. You don’t know what you’re really experiencing. And then like you said, I, I don’t trust a lot of news anchors out there. I’ve seen firsthand, I’ve seen NBC and CNN make up stuff because I’ve been on their, I’ve been out on the field and I see it firsthand of what they’re doing.

And I’m like, this, like what Rob’s talking about. I’m like, dude, this is, this is not accurate at all, you know, so especially anything related to the elections over the last eight years that I’ve experienced, you know, so, so it, so that was kind of the whole thing of why we’re doing so. Again, I think what you’re doing is important, even though it does seem to. Is always like, oh, should I do this or not? But it’s like you are getting the truth out there to people that don’t know what’s happening. They also have family members out there.

You know, people have friends out there. The media is not going to really help in this case, so. And we’re seeing things on these videos that, that it’s not in the media, so it’s great. I, I really think, I appreciate what you’re doing, and I think, I think the people of Texas do, too. Thank you. Yeah, I specifically didn’t ever click over to monetize my YouTube channel just because I’m afraid they’ll start censoring what I, what I say and what I talk about. And a lot of what I’m talking about on my, on my shows or have to do with mental health or substance abuse and all that.

But, yeah, you got to be careful. I’m kind of known for saying the uncomfortable thing in the room or the, you know, the thing that a lot of other people are afraid to say out loud. And I don’t ever want that freedom to get taken away. So I’ll keep that freedom over taking a couple dollars each month. Amen to that. Hey, we’ve got some questions coming in from people that are watching the show, and I think maybe you can answer some of this. So first is, do you know where some of the lost people found. Yes, very shortly after we got there, they found a young girl that had been washed for 20 miles.

Still living. Still living. And so that was goodness, that was, that was the one story that we, everybody kind of hung on to for the day as their sense of hope. And they’ve, they’ve continued to, they’ve continued to find people. I’m not sure that I’m. We’ve been kind of heads deep in what we’re doing. So I haven’t really watched news or gotten numbers or anything like that. But I do know they continue to find people. I forget what the total number was of. You know what I mean? How many alive or how many not. Yeah, it looks like right now they’ve.

There’s confirmed about 105 people who died with dozens still missing. Maybe even more so on our site alone that first day they found nine in the hours that we were there. So is. Okay, this is a question a lot of people have. What, what organizations basically are there is FEMA on site or other government. Government agencies. So when, where we were at, it was first, it was, first it was the state police, a lot of fire department, wildlife. Wildlife people were definitely out there in force. And then regular law enforcement, they kind of started to, started to trickle in.

A lot of fire departments from, from everywhere else. FEMA may have been set up in the middle of the town or anything like that, but they weren’t ever set up where we were at. And I didn’t really hear about much people having, having dealings with them either. Got. Yeah, got you. All right, so I wonder why. So this is a question that somebody had. I wonder why there are some reports that’s that state that relief efforts are blocked. Have you noticed that relief efforts were being blocked at all? That the only, the only thing that was what we were kind of talking about earlier was I think just the tourist people trying to show up and do that.

So they are putting out like Facebook posts. I saw the Facebook post that keeps making its round how law enforcement is stopping people from doing that. If you show up down there right now with a chainsaw and you look like you’re ready to work, you will be put to work immediately. You’re not getting turned away. But if you’re showing up in perfectly clean clothes and your, your crocs on, you’re probably not getting it. I have a policy. Never trust a man in crocs, especially not an event like that. Oh my gosh. Yeah. All right, so another question is, do they want you to save found clothing or belongings in order to identify possible lost or deceased people? Yeah, there were anything we could find that could identify somebody.

They were, they were having us look for. Okay, and what, what would you say is the best advice you can give seeing everything that you’re seeing for people to prepare for this kind of a natural disaster or a flood even? Well, like what should they do with Their home. I guess it’s a pretty broad question, you know, like if. Yeah, I guess all of it really. So, like, we. I could. You could say you’re home, but also, like, if you get caught in a situation like that, maybe even. I mean, I would say always it. I’m all about the company you keep, all the people you choose to surround yourself with.

And so I know I have people, no matter what, that I can call them, day or night, and they’re going to be there for me. And those are the only people I’ll surround myself around with that if that makes sense. I absolutely believe in protecting my family first and doing what I have to do. So if that means having emergency food here, emergency water, generator, we have all that. I’m not saying I’m somebody that’s a big prepper or anything like that, but if some, you know, Texas grid, Power grid has gone down, we’ve had the big ice storm.

There’s been a lot of these things that happen. And so I think now at this point point, you know, wherever it’s coming from, however it’s happening, if you’re not preparing yourself, you’re living in a. You know, I’d rather have it and not need it than not, you know, than vice versa. Everything you said is exactly why I’m a bit prepared, is I would rather have it and just not need it. And then if something does happen, I can be like, hey, guys, come here. You know, for a couple hundred bucks, I got. I got at least.

At least enough food to get a couple months with, you know, with me and my wife. I’d rather that couple hundred dollars gone and I don’t have to think about it again. Thank Being caught. Like, oh, how are we gonna get these cans open? Or yeah, when we had. Do you guys. Did you guys hear about. I know you said you used to live in Texas. Did you. Do you remember when we had snowpocalypse? Did you guys. Oh, yeah, I was there. I was there. I had to drive. I had to drive from Austin to Houston in Cyprus, where I lived, and it was total madness.

I mean, I’m from the northeast and I’m used to driving in the ice and in the snow, and there was nothing like that because there’s just no salt in Texas to deal with any of that, you know? Right. I’m from Northeast Ohio. I grew up in. I. We flourished during. During snow apocalypse. I had. I had us right. I had us ready to go. That was when me. Right. When me and my wife met. So we bonded over it. Sure. I remember going. But I remember when they opened up Heb only for a couple hours, and you saw.

You saw what time it was. People were only out for themselves. There was not this. This camaraderie. And, you know, they’re. I remember bringing home canned goods or something like that. My wife looked at me and she’s like, I’m not gonna eat that. And I was like, you will if you want to survive. Like, you know, welcome to real life. And I. And I think it’s just natural human behavior. Like, if, you know, we have right now and sitting in Austin, we’re doing okay, so we’re absolutely ready to jump down there and help. But if this hits your area and there’s nobody coming to help, things change very quickly.

So protect your family and just always be ready and make sure that you surround yourself around people that you can count on when the time comes. Yeah. And for God’s sake, leave toilet paper for other people. I don’t know what you people are doing. Like, I go to the market when some disaster happens, and I’m like, food or, you know, milk. I don’t know, milk. Brett something. And then you just go to the toilet paper aisle and you’re like, do people crap that much? Seriously, if. If Charmin and those companies didn’t have a hand in that whole thing, I don’t know what’s going on.

I’m wondering if that was the case, too. You just brought up the next conspiracy theory we have to look into, which is, are the toilet paper companies behind this? And, guys, I’m. I’m all for a good conspiracy and all that stuff, but, you know, I didn’t. I didn’t see any of that kind of stuff down there with fema, because it would have. It would have picked up on my radar pretty quick. But, yeah, I just saw a whole lot of people that cared and wanted to help. I don’t know if it was. I don’t know if it was still so new that some of that didn’t happen or what.

I can’t see under this administration either that FEMA would be having that big of a. A negative role in something like this at all. So, yes, that makes sense. The only. The only thing I heard about that throughout the day was I heard. And I’m not. I try to stay out of political just because I don’t ever want my podcast to get, you know, to be messed. Understood. But I did hear people going around saying that Trump said that Texas can have whatever they need or Whatever they want. And that was the. That was the word everyone was saying.

And so, I mean, I don’t. We have so many people messaging right now. Like, my phone has been going this whole time of people trying to go. And so I think we have droves of people coming down ready to help. Great, great. All right. That’s amazing. So if people are going to go down there tomorrow, what would you. What advice would you give them in order to help as fast as possible? Where should they go and how should they get involved? Any. You’re good as long. Show. Show up with a sauce, show up with gloves, look like you’re ready to work, and you’re gonna find your place that everything’s kind of still fluid down there.

They pulled us out of the area we were at so they could get in there with the dogs. So then everybody diverted over to the other. The other area, and then it was too packed up. So that’s kind of. We are. We’re circling up and we’re. We’re gearing to go back down on Monday. We’ve been talking with some of the. Some of the agencies down there, and that’s kind of when they’re gonna be cleared out. So we’ll be able to go down and do what we need to do. So we’re just trying to channel everybody to meet in Dripping Springs, Texas, on Monday.

We’re gonna meet at the HEB there, and we’re just gonna kind of convoy down. So if there’s anybody local that’s interested in that, please get a hold of me or project grit and we can coordinate that. But if anybody’s going down ready to go, you know, be prepared to work. But don’t be. Don’t be. Don’t be deterred. If you get turned away at one or two places, you can. You can drive through that town and look down at the waterline and see that there’s still debris and everywhere that might not be, you know, necessarily right in the main city.

So you’re gonna be able to find a spot to work. And for God’s sake, don’t wear Crocs. Like, wear some actual boots. No. Oh, my gosh. That’s crazy. I saw people in shorts, too. Shorts. Not smart. No, not for this. What would you recommend them wearing? Actually, that’s a good. That’s a good question to ask. Some good old jeans. You don’t mind getting dirty or wet or torn up. Make sure you bring a change of clothes. Bring some socks, bring some other shoes, but have some good boots on your Feet, if you got them, just be prepared to.

Be prepared to do some blue. Blue collar hard labor. But there’s. There’s people of all different shapes and sizes down there. There’s. There’s small women out there that are on top of, you know, hundred foot piles of debris, pulling. Pulling sticks off. So there’s somewhere where you can get down there and work, for sure. Keep your kids at home, though. Definitely. Keep your kids at home. Definitely. Well, Sean, thanks so much for. For being with us. And, you know, is there. So a couple of things, like, is there anything else that we miss that you feel like you want to tell everyone and tell us about your podcast and where to find you? Yeah, no, I think that’s it.

You know, if anybody follows along, we’re going to be putting out posts up to date of anything we find out or know and how anybody can channel their efforts. We’re. I know Project Grit is setting up a GoFundMe so we can make sure we know exactly where the money’s going and getting to the people that truly need it. Just. So stay tapped in with us, and if anybody has any questions, feel free to DM me the podcast. It’s on all platforms. I usually channel people to YouTube because that’s where the video is. And we have people from all different walks of life.

We’ve had on UFC fighters, Olympic silver medalists, actors, musicians. But the overarching goal is, you know, big guests are great. They help bring eyeballs to the stories that, you know, really, really matter. And at the end of the day, we’re all recovering from something. So anybody that’s been through adversity and they’re looking for more and understanding that, you know, all this. All this pain in your life, if you give it a little, has a lot of power when you give it some purpose. Amen. Great, man. Super inspiring. Sean, thanks so much for taking the time, especially with everything that you’re doing, to be on our show.

I don’t want to take up more of your time. Or I could speak for Ben, too, I think, here, but. But thank you so much, brother, and good luck down there, and let’s stay in touch because you’re. You’re awesome, dude. What you’re doing is great. Thank you. And I appreciate what you guys do. Put. Putting truth out there and asking questions. That’s what. That’s what everybody should be doing. Thank you so much, Sean. Yeah, it’s great having you on. Thank you, guys. Small world, man. Can’t believe. Can’t believe we connected before yeah, me too. I know.

That’s great. Wow. We’ll. We’ll. Yeah. Thanks, Sean. All right, fellas. I look forward to talking to you. Me too. 150 years in the making. The ultimate evil specter. Lies, hatred and struggle. Traditions destroyed. The deep state cult. Communism. Get your questions ready because it’s time for our live Q A session, exclusively on Rise tv.
