Decoding ‘Friends’ Finale: A Critical Look at “The Last One” and Its Modern Resurgence
In my latest video, I am taking a focused look at the final episode of ‘Friends,’ titled “The Last One.” This episode has recently garnered renewed attention due to its significant references in the Netflix movie ‘Leave the World Behind.’ My aim is to explore these references and decode the relevance of this particular episode in today’s context.
The finale of ‘Friends,’ a sitcom that has left an indelible mark on popular culture, holds more than just sentimental value. It is a repository of cultural symbols and themes that continue to resonate. The recent mention in ‘Leave the World Behind‘ is not just a passing reference but a bridge connecting two different eras of storytelling.
I will dissect the finale’s narrative, and its underlying themes to see how they align with or differ from the modern themes presented in the dark drama ‘Leave the World Behind.’
Join me as I unpack the layers of “The Last One,” to understand its place in the larger narrative within our world through the lens of the Bible, Strong’s concordance and numerology.
Please enjoy!
Much Love,
Kris
Eyes to See
A scene in which Amanda (“Amanda” = 128 Reverse) looks at the children frolicking in the pool, comparing everything to another episode of a certain TV show. The only TV show mentioned in the movie is Friends, which Amanda’s daughter likes to watch.
And then at 17 minutes 8 seconds from the beginning of the movie (1028th second!) there’s a visual overlay of the eclipse and the tablet with the latest episode of Friends.
10/28 = 128

“In the image on this card, we see a darkened sky, at the moment when the moon moves to cover up the sun in a SOLAR ECLIPSE.”
“Underneath this portentous planetary conjunction, we see a rocky coastline, where rocky green cliffs meet shallow, WATERY TIDE POOLS beneath.”
@MS – Brilliant catch on the eclipse at 17mins 8 secs. Also, thank you on the Eight of Cups, another great insight.
I shared this on all my platforms and promoted it heavily for you. I hope it worked, brother.
Is the word Baal hidden on the movie poster?
There are several release dates for the movie: October 25, November 22, and December 8. Is the movie related to the death of Matthew Perry?
Matthew 10:28: And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
The word “hell” – in the original was Gehenna meaning valley. It was a valley and plain of a small field, moist and wooded, with many beautiful places; there was also a grove dedicated to an idol (the idol of Baal).
Matthew 10:25 (10/25 is the supposed date of the movie): It is enough for the disciple to be like his teacher, and the servant like his master. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebul, how much more will they malign those of his household.
The release of the movie was postponed to November 22 because of the writers’ strike. Strong’s dictionary for Greek 1122 is γραμματεύς (“Writers Guild”).
Release on netflix on December 8 – M10:28
Baal-Zebuv, “lord of the flies”, literally “lord of flying things”.
The book Lord of the Flies was released on September 17, 1954 (224 pages). September 17 is the release date of The Squid Game. September 17 popped up in the bunker at the end of the movie Leave the World Behind.
New Testament verse 666 – Matthew 20:18 – “218” – Code for emergency messages and blackout.
Two more movies to decode –
a). “We Are Your Friends”, 2015 – scene with Cranberry + 128bpm, frequent mention of the valley (reference to Gehenna – Matthew 10:28 ) swimming pools and the death of one of the friends.
b). “17 Again”, 2009 – scene on the bridge when the radio shows the time as 10:28.
@MS – Great catches! Thanks for sharing.
