It’s weird because this question, do ghosts exist? Is simultaneously this bizarre fringe question, like, that’s a weird thing to even do a show about. And this core existential human question. There’s a tendency for the mainstream to look at the search for ghosts as like this niche side project. But ghosts are also this fundamental expression of art. And people write songs and movies and books about ghosts. Even if you don’t believe that there are spirits out there haunting things, everybody knows that the concept of a ghost teaches us something deep about ourselves. The whole thing also gets at our understanding of the universe.

And actual ghosts couldn’t just exist. Everything else about reality has got this structure to it. There would have to be some consistent structure that allows for a ghost and not some outlying thing, something that’s like the other things we see in reality. But even back to the people having these experiences, how do we know they’re not really seeing what they say they see? Can all these stories of hauntings and spirits really come with nothing behind them? Why is there this connection between the concept of ghosts and what it is to be a person? And all of this hinges on this central question.

Could you actually exist? Hello, my friends. Jacob’s here. One more time. My grandfather just passed. We knew that this was coming. So it’s ironic the timing of, of this show. And it’s ironic the fact that I have probably the foremost expert in ghosts and the paranormal coming to you today. Actually, we just, we just saw that, Roland. That actually comes from the Swedenborg Foundation. This is something that I think that a lot of people are going to be very interested in very shortly. I’m starting to see already on social media little, little hints that there are spirits and things that are happening on sets of influencers all around.

Lights are flickering, people are freaking out. Are there specters on the loose? Something that is talked about in media, something that’s talked about in literature. Hamlet’s ghost. Oh, we got something to talk to you about today. Do you believe in ghosts? I don’t know. But I brought on the man to talk about this. Curtis Childs, the CVO of Swedenborg Foundation. Curtis, welcome back, man. Jacob, it’s good to be here. Thanks for having me. This is like a kookidoo show to talk about, some people think. But yeah, the spirit world is sort of important. No, it’s not.

It only cuckoo doo until you have someone you love who dies. And then you’re like, where’d they go? Wait, this can’t be the end. And you start to look for, is there Life beyond death. So it becomes very personal very quickly. This. This is something that we all experience, death. You know, it’s funny, my. My mother. My mother, who. She had me when she was very young, I basically lived with my grandparents for the first six years. The last show that I did, the last live stro that I did, Curtis, I left to go say goodbye to my grandfather because it seems that I.

Right before my grandparents pass, I have to kind of say goodbye because this is what happened the last time with my nanny. I had a dream that my grandmother visited me about a week after she passed. And she was. We were in a car, and she was beautiful, and it was a beautiful day, and it was a beautiful road that we were on. And she was kind of hanging out like. She was like a hippie. Her hair was flowing out the car, and I was in the backseat, and she turned to me and she said, surely goodness and mercy will follow you all the days of your life.

Wow. That has been something that, like, I have plucked at over the years. When I stress out, I worry. I’m like. I was reminded that goodness and mercy is going to follow me. So. And this is what we’re trying to do. So with my grandfather passing, my mother asked, she says, you know, you know, am I going to feel him in that room? You know, is it going to be something that I have to worry about? Is it? And I said, well, Mom, I got the expert coming on the show, you know, so how do you explain this to people? And why is the world of ghosts so important to you? Yeah, so it’s funny that the intro that you just showed, the clip from our show that we did, I think that was seven years ago in.

I don’t know if she appears in that intro, but later in that show, there’s like a skit where we are illustrating the spirit leaving the body. And the actress that we used for that was my grandmother, who. Who has since passed away. So she’s actually gone through that process. I think that the thing that’s so important to communicate to people is consciousness survives death. So just because somebody’s body dies doesn’t mean that they’re not around anymore. In fact, until you understand that, none of life makes sense at all because you love people and you get so attached to them, and then when they die, something in you says, this can’t.

It can’t be the end. There’s no way that they aren’t there anymore. And. Right. And not only that, but the spiritual world, which is like, you are like a Dual citizen right now. You have your physical body and you have your spirit. And the conscious part of you is your spirit. You’re hanging out in both worlds right now without realizing it. The spiritual and the physical are right close to each other. So when we talk about somebody crossing over or they’re through the veil, it’s really that close. Like they’re still around, they’re still with us. And that, that actually knowing that can help you not only in how you deal with death, but how you understand life and how you understand how your own mind works.

So to me, it’s like you pull out the thread of the question, where do people go when they die? And you end up unraveling how everything works. Now, do you have like a unique view to say the typical, like, you know, most people we’re going to go. My grandfather was very, very active in the Catholic church, so is my nanny. And you know, he, he read all the time at the church. And it was like, it was a big thing. The faith was a big thing for, for my, my grandfather in the religious sense. My nanny was a little bit different.

But I’m gonna go and I’m gonna, you know, carry the ashes in and. Well, a lot of people are. We had people that were visiting and one of them would sit down and say, well, this is who you’re gonna be greeted by and this is what they’re gonna say to you. And this is where you’re gonna go. This is. They have ideas of what happens. How, how do we know that that’s even a thing? You know, and there’s. There’s so many different ideas, right? And so there’s, there’s religious traditions of all kinds that have their sense of what the afterlife is.

But then you have all of your near death experiences. You Look, YouTube is full of all these people saying, I had this accident, I almost died. I went across. This is what happens. So everybody’s got all these ideas of what happens to me. What I’ve tried to look for is what’s the universal explanation for what’s going on? Because if you look at how do we explain the physical world? You find out these laws that apply everywhere. So the physics in your studio, even if we’re hundreds of miles apart, it’s the same as the physics in my studio.

Gravity works the same everywhere. You can explain the world by knowing its laws. So what I was looking for is where is there something that tells you how the whole spiritual thing works? And the only complete comprehensive theory of everything that I found is, is Emanuel Swedenborg. Okay, and one out now. Now just for people that don’t know who he is, this is like kind of a mover and shaker. This is not a, like nobody. Yeah, I, I, I feel like this is the most significant set of spiritual experiences ever recorded. It’s affected a ton of the world that we’re in right now.

So many facets of American society in particular were shaped by his ideas. Not everybody knows about it, but it’s, it’s the equivalent of it. Leonardo da Vinci saying, I’ve started to visit the afterlife and I’ve written down everything I know about it. Or, or today if like Neil DeGrasse Tyson, it’s like, I’ve started to visit the afterlife. Swedenborg was the he, yeah, mover and shaker. He was one of the most famous scientists in, in Europe, was good at everything, super successful, but then started to have these spiritual experiences and he took, he was his polymath. So he’d done every branch of science, he’d done anatomy, he’d done engineering, he’d done, he’d done physics.

Everything that there was took that scientific brain and started to map the afterlife. And he’s got like 40 volumes worth of information like, this is how this works, this is how this goes. Totally. It’s not sensationalist, it’s just like almost dry, almost boring. How. Here’s the details, here’s the details. But it absolutely, the reason I love it is it ties it together so that people, let’s say in the Catholic tradition, and why do they have those beliefs? Why do people have these near death experiences? Why do people see visions of people that die? His explanation ties that all together.

So that’s what I’m doing on YouTube is I’m trying to give people that explanation because that gives a context and a plausible context. Just like the physical world runs by the laws of physics, the spiritual world has its own laws. You know, it’s made by the same creator. Right. So it runs in a similar way, but it’s distinct. Now would you say that there are ghosts as, you know, like say my, my, my grandfather, he passes away, he’s so connected to that house. So it becomes almost like a host for his spirit. Now, but do you think that there could also be like imitation spirits like you find in, in scripture, where, you know, there was the big argument over whether King Saul actually spoke to the ghost of Samuel, or was it an evil spirit pretending to be the ghost of Samuel? Because see, you know, for those that are, that are, you know, new to the program and maybe, you know, read the Bible.

Ghosts are a thing in scripture, too. They thought Jesus was literally a ghost walking on the. But he said, you know, does this. Does a ghost have flesh and bone? You know, so I don’t know if you can maybe. Is there a way to explain what a ghost is and how it’s different from, say, like, I don’t know, a devil or a demon? I think that it’s a. It’s a term that people have invented. So we got to fill it with meaning. I think for Swedenborg generally in pop culture. I’ll start there. If somebody says, oh, I’m going to see a ghost movie, a movie about a ghost.

What you mean is somebody who’s died, but you can still see their spirit and their spirit is still around, right? Yes, absolutely. That can happen. So, as I said, you have a spirit and a body. The only reason you can’t. There’s spirits actually around us all the time because the spiritual world and the physical world are completely. They’re close to. They’re almost like the skin versus the muscle and bones of a body. Like they’re part of one big hole. But you got your spiritual. Is what CERN is trying to break the veil. I mean, look, it’s scientific.

So what you’re talking about just for. For people that are like, oh, this is out there. I mean, they spend a lot of money trying to break that bridge and try to get into that other dimension. Oh, yeah, and it’s definitely out there. But. But it’s like all scientific theories are out there. The multiverse is way out there. Theory. But it’s if it’s. If it’s what the day, it’s what fits the data. So I would say, yeah, all we can do on this show is present you with here’s a theory, and then you got to go apply it to your data.

But. So you have your spiritual eyes. Your spiritual eyes are closed. Why do some people have these visions in the Bible, of course, there’s spiritual visions all throughout that Paul, he only meets Jesus in a vision. Yeah. His entire connection to Jesus, would that be a ghost? You know, if you want to call it a ghost, I would say, you know, God is something different, right? Yeah. So there’s Book of Revelation, all the prophets. There’s so many spiritual experiences. I think the way the Swedenborg breaks it down, which is super helpful if you want a categorization system, is that, you know, you’ve got.

So you could call them spirits or you can call them ghosts. Everybody who Dies, becomes a spirit. Like you have a spirit in a body. Once you take the body away, you’re a spirit. So now you’re in spirit. So we’re not the. We’re not the machine. We’re the spirit that’s in the machine. This is just in. The body perishes. Right. That’s why God looks to the inward man. He doesn’t look to the outward man. It’s, you know, because there’s more to us. So you’re saying that when the body’s gone, the spirit can be more. You can see that for yourself.

I mean, I remember my uncle was dying, dying. And we’re all around his bed, and he was just getting ready to pass away. And he was. He had been on a. I think a breathing machine. And they had to take that off because they knew he couldn’t throw. And you could just see the moment when it’s like, he’s gone. Yeah. And it’s sad, too. It’s so sad. It’s. I’m getting. I’m getting, like, a little teary just thinking about it. You know, you can tell even though the physical material is there, the person you love is not there anymore.

The person. Growl. That growl that comes out. It’s like at the end, it’s almost like. Yeah, and what. And that’s the person leaving. Yeah, the person’s not there anymore. So everybody becomes a spirit after death. That’s just the way it is. If you want to call something a ghost. I think generally how we think of ghosts is it’s spirits that are, like, attached here or spirits that will try to negatively influence you. Ghosts usually have a spooky kind of. Okay, so you’re saying that, you know, the haunting, like, say, in my house. Okay, we have a lot of weird things happening.

I have clocks that I never wind that there’s no key to. Will just start clicking. We hear footsteps. It’s something that we’ve talked about quite a bit in the studio, in fact, because one of the owners passed away right here. Okay. And a lot of people are like, oh, I saw. You know, I saw orbs in your show. And I think, oh, it’s probably just the dust. But is there a difference? Could it be that person that lived here, or could it be other things completely that I’m not aware of? I think that. So say you had just posted on the Internet somewhere, hey, if any of you have this deceased relative, if any of you are them, let me know out there.

And you get a reply that says, it’s Me? Yes, it’s your deceased relative. Are you gonna believe that? People. Right, That’s. That’s really. That’s a lie. People. People lie, especially when they’re anonymous. Now you think the spirit world is full of who? People. All of us. Especially the ones who are gonna try to hang around and influence you. He can’t trust that. So Swedenborg does talk about a couple of times having spirits even, who say to him, I died in this room, so you need to leave. But it wasn’t true. It wasn’t true. He also. Absolutely, spirits will impersonate people because not all of them.

There’s plenty of people who go into the afterlife and they’re really good, but just like here you get a phone call and you know, oh, this is a person trying to pretend they’re someone else to try to take my money away. That’s. Then they’re the ones who reach out to you. That’s kind of how it can be with spirit. So I’d say anything a spirit tells you or you get a voice or something street. Be street. Grain of salt. Grain of salt, exactly. So. So I would say more so than there’s actually. It does get a little blurry, but more so than it’s tied to a physical location, it’s tied to your mental imagery of that physical location.

So you. There’s a spirit and a body, right? The conscious part of you is spiritual. The physical part of you is. Is natural. Everything that’s around you that you look and see, not only is it out there, but you have a map of it in your brain. You know, you have that. Your impressions of everything. So that becomes spiritual because it’s in your consciousness. Swedenborg would describe how spirits can get attached to his mental imagery of the room around. So the sting, if you hear, if you’re hearing voices, if you’re hearing sounds, even seeing like a spirit go across the room, right? It’s like that’s.

That’s you seeing the spiritual world. Like augmented reality style overlaid on the physical. But the two overlap because you’re constantly bridging the two because you are a conscious spiritual being observing a physical location. Interesting that really, you know, my mother really was. Like I said, I don’t think you got to worry about it, Mom. I think that, you know, I mean, the scripture says to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Now that I understand it to mean a couple of different things. It doesn’t necessarily have to just be about death, but it can be about when you focus On God.

You’re not focused on the works of the flesh. So to be absent from your. Your desires and your cravings and your luck is to be present with God. But that being said, you know, people want to have this idea that when they pass away, they’re going to heaven, you know, and on my channel, I’ve explained to a lot of people that the kingdom of heaven is within us already, so that heaven is here. How can you translate this so that people understand? Like, maybe people have lost loved ones instead of, like, going to mediums and psychics and all this stuff where they can have their money taken from them.

Unless, of course, you think that that’s a thing. How can they better handle that? And especially if they’re hearing something like knocking, you know, footsteps walking. Yeah. Every. Everywhere. It’s always true that the more you cling to God, the better you do. Right. So you’re like a poet, so It’s a little Dr. Seuss for you. But Swedenborg, again, I was just in that show that you referenced. He talks about how. Great show, by the way. I’ll link it below so people can follow you there just by watching that show. That’s great. That’s great. And so for him, he was having constant interactions with spiritual world.

And something he learned really fast was, yeah, there’s a bunch of people in there who are trying to manipulate you. And. And they’re not. They don’t. They’re not having that kingdom of heaven inside them, and they’re trying to sort of do the kingdom of hell thing on you. But always what protected Swedenborg was faith. So if you know and understand that God rules the universe, that. Who’s in charge of this whole thing? Who can I trust to bring me where I need to go? Oh, that’s God. God is doing that. That makes you safe. That makes it so that they, you know, if you try to.

If you have these negative influences or something trying to dissuade you or confuse you or perplex you, it doesn’t really hit the same if you believe, well, God’s in charge of all this. He’s taking it right. Yeah. There’s nothing to worry about. Nothing to worry about. And I would say people who are worried about heaven and who goes to heaven and when. The way that Swedenborg saw the afterlife is, yeah, the kingdom of heaven is within you. So we’re trying to build that as we go throughout life. Why is Jesus asking us to repent? Why isn’t he just.

Why is he telling us to do a bunch of work, the spiritual work of stop. Stop being a jerk and start being good. Why do that? Because that’s how you build the kingdom of heaven. Why does he have so many instructions on how to love the neighbor? Why does he say that? Loving the neighbor and love the God’s greatest commandment. So we’re building the kingdom of heaven within us. Some of us are farther along than other people. And so some. Have you been on X lately? Have you driven on the highway lately? So you are building it.

But some people, it’s true, throughout the course of their life, God has led them to really get that kingdom of heaven strong in them. And when they cross over, you almost immediately are ready to go into heaven. But the rest of us, it takes some time. You think about. Let me ask you a question. Let me ask you a question, because this is interesting. I never considered this way. Are demons. See, I understand demons to be deceptive spirits. We’ll say the devil, the father of all lies. So a demon would be birthed out of a lie.

So it’s untruth. Are demons and ghosts different? Swedenborg’s explanation, and that’s. That’s my best, you know, so lens into all this is that just like the kingdom of heaven is within you, kingdom of hell can be within you. And the more that you have the kingdom of hell in you, the more you move down sort of this hierarchy of. So you say, like a demon is a lie. Well, where can a lie live? It has to live inside someone’s consciousness. A bunch of swines. Yeah, that’s right. That’s right. If you’re somebody, we all go through our life and you have the chance to build the kingdom of heaven, or you have the chance to build the kingdom of hell.

So you. And you decide, well, it’s kind of fun. I like what I can get out of lying and deceiving to people, deceiving people, harming them. Do whatever I can to get ahead. I love the joy and that gives me. You take that into your life. You more and more shape your life around that. The more devoted you are to falsity than Swedenborg would say after death, he would call you a Satan, because a Satan. And the more you’re devoted to evil, then he would call you a demon. Okay. And something that’s a little more in the middle, where you got some good and some bad.

That’s what he would call the world of spirits. That’s where you’re sorting yourself out. So you have the chance to either go, you can choose the life of hell, you can choose the life of heaven, kind of get clear on who you are. So there’s, depending on how mixed up we are, there can be a longer or shorter time there. If, if you’re, if you’re ending up, you want to do the life of heaven, you got to go through some stuff that will get rid of that hell that’s in you, and then vice versa. What do you have now? So that’s an interesting way, way to express that, because then when you look at the movies where the people are haunted and you know they’re really scary, terrible things, and these spirits are so scary and they’re monstrous and they do horrible things, they could be wicked people that have crossed over.

Is, is this kind of what you mean? Because that’s, I never thought of it that way. So the, the way that the spiritual world is, according to Swedenborg, is there the truth becomes visible. So walking around here, you can have a person come up to you and they’re smiling and they’re handsome and they shake your hand, but you don’t know that they’re plotting to kill you or rob you. They don’t look like there’s an evil there. That’s monstrous, but they don’t look like it. Similarly, you can have a person who’s a very good hearted, kind person, but they have some kind of physical deformity.

They don’t look that good. The truth is not apparent in this world. In the spiritual world, the reality of things becomes clear. So if you’re somebody that has a monstrous intent, like you, you want to harm you enjoy that, you have no qualms doing that. You look like what’s inside you. So you, you can end up. Swedenborg would meet all kinds of people, even people he knew in life that, that looked terrifying. In the afterlife, when you, when you turn the light of heaven on them, when you can see them for what they really are, because it’s just a depiction of the evil that’s inside the, the heart and the falsehood inside the mind.

Yeah, What Jesus said very clearly too, he says it’s not what goes into the man. This is going to lead us into possession, right? Can you be possessed by ghosts? But it’s not that what goes into the man that defiles them, it’s what comes out. So in other words, you could be on social media and you could be, you know, flipping through whatever it is and all of a sudden you see all these things, you’re putting it inside, but it’s not going to defile you. If it doesn’t take, the root’s not going to defile you if you don’t, you know, visit and revisit these patterns in your own life.

So if people are doing horrible things, you can, you know, see it and come into your eye gate, but it doesn’t need to take resonance in your heart. That being said, could spirits do that? Could there be, like, could people become literally the I. I understand possession to be? Once again, you’ve believed something that wasn’t true. A negative force has come upon you. Is there something like literally out there that’s kind of tangibly spiritual that comes in, or is it just like a frequency or a vibe? I think the answer is, yes, you can get possessed.

And actually, a lot of us are possessed to different levels. So not possessed like it was in the time of Jesus, where evil spirits could take over your body and make it go and do something, and Jesus casts them out. According to Swedenborg, that was one of the things that Jesus did away with when he. When he came. Swedenborg called that external possession. He said, that doesn’t happen anymore. Now, I can’t say that means a million percent. Nowhere in the world has it ever happened. But in general, you can make an agreement. You can make an agreement with a spirit.

So inward possession is a different thing. That is where your thoughts and desires, through a light, through a pattern of taking in bad things and acting on them, can get so intertwined with these negative spirits that you. He says the way you check for it is look inside your motives, look inside your will, and see, when you think about some kind of egregious crime, something that’s against the Ten Commandments, does it strike you as bad? Or you’re like, yeah, that’s fine. I would do that. If you don’t have that conscience there, that means you got inward possession, which is fine.

All you got to do is start the process of repentance, which just means, all right, I see that thing is there. Pray to God, can you get rid of this for me and don’t act on it in your life. You can break that possession, but the reason why so many people are walking around acting like psychos in the world and doing horrible things is because there’s this internal possession where you get close to hell and hell starts to influence your thinking, and you almost make a home with hell in your life. So what you. What we’re trying to do is get out of that possession.

It’s a possession, a psychological possession rather than a physical one. Right. Wow. And I gotta Tell you a lot of people are definitely possessed and hurting, you know. Yeah. And do you also believe that there could be, we’ll say, you know, for lack of a better term right now, ghosts that could be there to positively encourage you? You know, kind of like they say, angels are there to minister to you. Could this be a relative? Yes, actually. There has to be good spirits around you. Swedenborg calls them angels or angelic spirits. So, again, this is just a term for him where it’s a person who wants to do good.

But always. And no matter how much evil is around you, there’s always at least two angels with you. Right. According to Swedenborg, and that their job is to protect you from hell, moderate things, and to try to influence your goals and your motives gently, because these are people who love you and they got to leave your freedom intact. But they’re trying to get it so that as we go through our day, we’re making our decisions, trying to push us a little bit towards wanting to do good things, having rather than selfishness, materialism, dominance, those be our goals.

Instead, we’re looking at love and useful service and being kind to our fellow human beings, trying to nudge us in that direction. So anyway, anytime you get just an uplift in feelings, positive direction of thoughts, that is, and very well could be a relative or somebody else who’s, you know, giving you a hug, they’re right there, they’re giving you a hug. They’re so close that he says they even sort of live in your good feelings and live in your true thoughts. So 100%, there’s as much, if not more positive influence than negative. You know, it’s so hard when we talk about the afterlife because there’s so many ideas of what you know is going to happen or could happen or what does it really mean.

I at least know that, you know, physical death is definitely not the end. Just as, you know, when I go to sleep at night, my dreams show me entire worlds and universes and experiences that I experience is real. But where was I? Right? So I know that my spirit is attached to more and actually can become so much more. But it’s. This is a really difficult topic because, you know, you don’t really know what to say, you know, oh, he’s in heaven now, Mom. You know, like, what. What would you say to somebody? Would you tell them, hey, you should have a ghost hunter come to the house and, like, check the electrical readings? Or I.

I wouldn’t. I’ve never done that with the people I love. I wouldn’t either. That doesn’t feel comforting to me. I guess it could be for some people. But what I think, what I always think, and even as soon now as somebody that I love dies, I just imagine that I’m going to see them again, and it’s not that long until I see them again. And that everything that they were struggling with. Everybody who’s on this earth is struggling with different things. Especially as you start to get older and you see the person’s body is starting to break down, you just imagine them on the other side starting to come back into the flower of youth and happiness and whatever issues they were struggling with, they’ve had a chance to get past those that you’re going to see them and they are going to be like who they were meant to be, unencumbered by everything.

I feel like when my grandma died, who I was talking about just recently on this show, that was the first time I ever thought, like, I know a lot of people on the other side. It’s almost like it’s starting to be that, you know, more people there than here. And I think about that sometimes, like, that’s my home. That’s our home. You feel safe. Yeah, that’s. That’s the home. And it’s like this life is tough and you got to slog through it, but just knowing there’s this bright destination at the end of it, which is like, every and every time somebody crosses over, they’re going to be there.

You’re going to see them. When you get there, you think about that reunion. It just gives you this hope. It helps me get through life because I think, nope, that’s coming. And now they’re there. I wonder what kind of life they’re having. I wonder what kind of happiness they’re having. And you know what? It’s going to be sad to be without them for these years. Grief is real and you got to do it. But, man, is that going to be a great reunion. Anything else that you could maybe, I don’t know, kind of encourage people that are going through loss right now or people that are just even curious about it, you know, and, you know, want to know.

I mean, my big question is, I believe that our actions and our thoughts will then kind of dictate the afterlife for us. So if we’re doing good, we can expect good. So maybe you can just take all of that and just put it into a kind of a closing bit of encouragement. 100%. Well, I love what you said, like, the good of your actions leads to Good in the afterlife. There’s a quote from Swedenborg that says in the spiritual world, the world we all go into after we die, no one there asks what your faith was or what your religion was, but what your life was like.

And he says that we, we take. There’s a reason why you live this life in the first place, because you’re choosing what kind of person do you want to be. You’re choosing what kind of person you want to be. So the kind of life you put together, and I’m not saying the things that happen to you or how you know whether you can help. I’m talking about the choices you make. That’s the things you choose to enjoy, what you try to do, that. That is the heaven you can build inside you. So at that is right.

You live the same kind of life in the afterlife that you do here. So there’s a lot of stuff about, yeah, paranormal and spirits and life after death. Whether or not you believe anything that I’ve been saying here, that’s not really the core of what life is about. A lot of people think that Swedenborg is about being esoteric and about having seances. But the thing was, even though he had all these experiences, the instructions for life that he came back with are very simple and they’re very mundane and practical. It is just don’t do what is harmful to other people.

I mean, Jesus says repent. This will be shun evils is a biblical way to say it. And then be useful. Be useful. I mean, go out and do things that are helpful for other people and see if you can enjoy doing them. Because that’s the foundation of a heavenly only life doing those things. Don’t do evil. Be useful and, and do all those things believing that God is the one who’s really doing it. Give him credit for his good stuff. That’s the answer to all of it. So it doesn’t matter in some ways, like what we believe about afterlife.

What’s more important is can you go do those good things? On those things, all the faith traditions agree. And on those things, just about all spiritual experiences agree. So I’d say if you’re doing that, it’s like seek ye first the kingdom of God and all these other things will be added to you. Man. That’s a. That’s a beautiful way to end this show.
