God bless YouTube. God bless you guys. Thanks for being here. We’re here on Zoom with our brothers and sisters that typically join our zoom. Glory to Jesus Christ. If you want to join our zoom, you’re more than welcome to do so on the live chat. There’s a link on there for you to join Zoom. We’re going to have some discussion later on as well. So thank you for being here.
Thank you for making these Tuesdays a part of your life. I know many of you just got off of work, some of you a little bit tired. You’re exhausted. Totally get it. These gatherings are meant for us to just have some dialogue, fellowship with each other, have a good time. And the aim today is I have a cutoff time of eight because I do got to get up really early tomorrow.
Right, but I always say that, and we go overboard because I don’t really mind staying overboard, but if the cutoff time happens, we’ll continue on Zoom and Chris and Heidi will take over. But we’re going to start with some praise and worship if you can as well. I just wanted to ask one huge favor. Okay. As we’re having these live streams on YouTube, as we’re having chat on YouTube, let’s continue to be edifying.
If you notice the YouTube chat, it doesn’t have any super chat on there, so you’re allowed to express yourself for free. There’s no super chat button. There’s none of that. The only thing I ask, if you can, is for us to make sure that we stay fruitful. So if you see that anything, it’s even about to escalate. Just be a peacemaker, calm down, relax, breathe for a moment.
And just remember that at the end of the day, we’re all going through something, right? So we show the same grace that God has shown us. All right? So as we’re going to start worshipping now, all right, we’re going to start praising worship. Remember that, right? You’ve probably had a rough week. You’ve probably had a rough moment. You probably had a rough day, whatever. Just remember, God showed you grace, right? And that’s something you should worship him for.
God showed you the opportunity to get up Today and sustain for your family. That’s big. That’s major. That ain’t no joke. Don’t take that for granted. Right? So let’s take this hour, hour and a half, 2 hours, whatever time we’re going to be here, to take that time and just worship God. Okay? All right. Go ahead, Rob. This is one of my favorite worship songs. That I was singing out aloud before I was even a believer.
And it’s called God of wonders. This is the kind of song that I think about when we look at the beauty of the world and we ask ourselves, like, how does anyone not believe in a creator God? And not only a creator God, but a good one. When we look out and see the beauty of just natural nature, especially when we go to the mountains, that’s a great place to reset.
But I think, especially at night, when we look up to the sky and we see the stars, and I think about how almighty our God is when I think about the size of the largest star that we can see in the farthest distance. A little science for us today we’ve been able to identify a star in the deepest recesses of space. And it turns out that that star in volume is composed of, size wise, not only 5 million, but 5 billion times the size of our own sun that we know is so huge compared to us, the tiny speck, our God’s amazing.
And so words to say that he’s the God of wonders almost don’t do it justice, but it’s the best we can do down here, right, tally? All right, here we go. I love this song. Let me make sure you guys can see it as I got some lyrics up. Hopefully. Might be too far on the edge, though. We’ll see how this goes, tally. Let me see if I can move it a little bit.
How’s that work? Sorta better than nothing. Lord of all creation, of water, earth, and sky. This first one that’s not in there. The heavens are your tabernacle. Glory to the Lord on high. Glory to the Lord on high. Here’s the chorus. God of wonders beyond our galaxy you are ho, universe declares your majesty? You are holy heaven. Lord of heaven. Lord of heaven, you early in the morning swirling in the morning I will celebrate when I stumble in the darkness close I will call your name by night God of wonders beyond our galaxy you are ho, universe declares your majesty, you are ho, you.
Lord of, Lord of the Hallelujah to hallel out to the Lord of heaven and earth. Hallelujah to the Lord of heaven and earth you are sing God of wonders with me. God of wonders beyond galvan. You are holy holy universe declares your majesty? You are holy, holy word of heaven Lord of heaven Lord of heaven. Now, this next song I’m going to do is, I think it’s relevant to what we’re talking about today.
And let’s see, how am I going to present this to you? Because the great thing about scripture to me is that it’s so open to us and reveals to us that, yes, God’s will and desire for us is, in the end, to be with him, to be together with him, to experience the joy of the Lord. It is our strength. But when we’re in the midst of this world, this fallen world, we suffer.
We’ve got pain and suffering. And that generates feelings, it generates anger, it generates sadness. And God, in his infinite wisdom, made sure that in scripture we would have speakers, prophets who would be able to tell us, I understand, but I need you to remember, says God to us, that I am sovereign, that I’m in charge, and that all things will work for the good of those who love him.
In the end, it’s a great hope that we have. The prophet Habakkuk is what this song is based on. And the Lord gave me this song in the midst of. Actually, when I was recording it, I had a gout attack. If you’ve had gout before or you know what gout is, it’s arthritis. And I’m in the midst of it right now, as a matter of fact. So tally, it’s perfect because I had to hobble to get up over here to play.
And I’m not doing it to complain. I’m doing it to go, God, look, God, in his infinite mercy, on Sunday, I was starting to experience it, and I go, I don’t even know if I can put on my shoe, Lord, I need how I’d like to lead worship today at church and people relying on me and God. He answered that prayer, it’s good, but it still hurt. And now it got worse.
But he reminds me in the prophet Habakkuk, with the prophet Habakkuk, who says at the beginning, how long, o Lord, must I call for help? Habakkuk even challenges God. He says, do you listen? That’s me, like this morning, God, I want to be able to get to work. I need to walk around. Are you listening? Can you hear me? Because I’m suffering from pain and I have problems and my feelings are hurt.
But Habakkuk, God through Habakkuk says, and it’s in Galatians, the same line is used. It’s in Hebrews, it’s in the book of Romans, where Habakkuk reveals that the righteous shall live by faith. The righteous don’t live by good feelings, good emotions. The righteous live by faith. And that is what the song is about. It’s called I will rejoice. And that’s also what Habakkuk said. He said that in the midst, he says maybe the fig trees don’t bud.
There’s no grapes on the vine. The crops are failing, the lands run dry but you say, God, that the righteous will live by faith and in that I rejoice. And so here’s the song. You might get the chorus a little bit later. How long, o Lord, must I call for help? Do you listen? I cry to you, please, can you help me? But do you hear destruction and violence before their strife and conflict? The loss seems paralyzed and justice perverted.
But you say, the righteous shall live by faith so I will rejoice in the Lord. I’ll be joyful in God, my savior the Lord is my strength he makes my feet run though the fig tree does not but no grapes on the vines the crops are feeling the lands run dry but you see, the righteous shall live by faith so I will rejoice in the lo. I’ll be joyful in God, my savior the Lord is my strength so I will rejoice in the.
I’ll be joyful in God, my savior the Lord is my skin he makes my feet run like the feet of the dear I will soar on the wings of eagle because of you, my God, rejoice in the Lord. I’ll be joyful. God, my savior the Lord is my strength. He makes my feet run. You make our feet run. Thank you, Jesus. Amen. God bless you all. And lord, please guide the study today and the discussion be with Tali and Chris as they give the word, and Heidi and with all of us as we share our testimonies and our witnesses and all about your goodness, God, and what you’ve done in our lives.
In Jesus name we pray. Amen. God is awesome, man. And brother Rob, definitely. Thank you, man. I know it’s hard when you’re not feeling know. Especially when you’re going through know. It’s one of the hardest either. My wife would say that he’s chastising me. I like to think it’s safe going to work, but you never know. How’s she doing, by the way? The wife is good. Everybody’s good.
Yeah. My son’s good. The wife’s good. You know we love you, right? I love you, too. It’s been a long time. I don’t think people understand how long we’ve known. A while. We’ve gone through some trenches here on YouTube. That’s why you’re a teddy bear and I’m a teddy bear now, too. God had to beat the hardcore out of us and he did a good did. You know, family, as you’re watching this, you heard brother Rob share his song.
There’s people already posting prayer requests on the chat. That’s a blessing. Thank you for doing that. We’re going to definitely be praying for that today as well. Sister Sarita, are you here? Sister Sarita, I’m sorry to put you on the spot. No. Would you mind leading us in prayer before we go to the word? Okay. Awesome. Our precious heavenly Father, we just are so thankful for being able to gather together each week.
We thank you, Father, that even though there are miles between us, we are still in unity and we are humbling ourselves before you. And we are here because we want to worship you in spirit and in truth. I thank you, father, for blessing us with Rob’s beautiful music that comes from your spirit through him. We thank you, Father, for this ministry. We ask, father, for your blessings to be upon this ministry, that you would be able to speak to each one of us this evening.
Whether it’s conviction or whether it’s that we need peace, whatever it may be, Father, we come before you and ask that you will fill us with the presence of your spirit, that we could just have joy unspeakable and full of glory. We just thank you and praise you so much in Yeshua Hamashiach’s name. Amen. That’s awesome. And I just wanted to tell all of you all how proud I am of you.
Even on YouTube, I know that some of you are not on the zoom. I’m still proud of you. We’re all coming together. We’re all slowly but getting getting accustomed to each other. It’s amazing how God is bringing us all together. As know, you have rob the singer, right? You have Sarita here praying with us now. We have Amy doing her thing, Ernest doing his thing, Heidi, Chris, all of us, Shannon, we’re all little by little coming together next week.
I’m hoping that we can give some homework as well to have a couple of participants out there to be able to get some stuff going. Alex and Paige day, I wanted them to next week bring something as well. As you can see, we’re slowly coming together. This isn’t a one man show without all of you. We can’t do this. The only one who matters here is Jesus. He’s the only one.
He’s the only way. So thank you if you’re on YouTube, thank you for being here. Thank you so much. I’ll get right to it so that we can get to some discussion. One of the things that I see on a constant basis, and it’s a battle that I personally go to. So I like to use myself as an example a lot. Let me put the microphone closer to me because you’re probably hearing me super far.
My apologies. But there are times in our life where we go through moments where we have faith in Jesus Christ. We have faith in him, we believe in him, we love him. We know that he’s done awesome works in our life. He’s changed our life for the better. He’s done awesome, awesome things. But sometimes the emotions of this world, they can cloud our judgment. Sometimes we can wake up worshiping Jesus Christ in the morning.
By the time noon hits, we’ve encountered someone at work that may say something that honestly, you and I both know that it may not be something that is led of God, right. And we have to either bite our tongue or we have to go pray in a corner, right. And we have to continue to be loving and merciful to people. Right? It could be in your household, it could be your wife, it could be your husband, it could be your children.
I don’t know. We don’t know. But we do know that on a daily basis, our faith is going to be challenged, okay? And it’s challenged in so many different ways. One of the ways that it could happen, it’s even with good intentions. Now I’m going to talk about an area, an aspect that it could happen that we’ve all gone through. We’ve all been that Christian. And I say all of us.
I mean, I’ve been in the faith since 2001. So it’s a blessing to see how God, little by little, every day, he teaches me more and more and more and more. And sometimes as I’m sitting there praying and just thanking God for his mercy, I sit there and conviction hits me and he’s like, man, do you remember when you did this out of ignorance? And I’m like, man, God, thank you for your mercy.
An example of that, especially in the hispanic church. And I’ll just use an example of how even with good intentions, sometimes we may say things out of our feelings and emotions that necessarily aren’t necessarily from God. Let me give you an example of that. In Ezekiel 13 two right. Son of man prophesy against the prophets of Israel, that prophesy and say them, prophesy out of their own hearts.
Hear ye the word of the Lord. So sometimes there are people that may come to you and say, especially in the spanish church where I grew up at. The Lord told me this as an example. The Lord told me that as an example. Sometimes it’s not really the Lord who said it. It’s them out of their own emotions and heart, right? That’s a common one that happens for us always.
I’m not saying that God doesn’t use us, and I’m not saying that God cannot touch and the gifts of the spirit deceive. No, I don’t believe. I believe the gifts of the spirit are for today. But if you notice, that trend happens a lot. Jeremiah 20 316 through 17. Thus says the Lord of hosts, hearken not unto the words of the prophets that prophesy unto you. They make you vain.
They speak a vision of their own heart and not out of the mouth of the Lord. There are times that people may rise up. And as people rise up, they may say certain things. And as they say certain things, some of the things that they may say may not line up with the word of God. And when it doesn’t line up with the word of God, what do we do? We believe God rather than man.
Right? So those are just two examples how even when we’re trying to do the thing of God, that pride can build up in us. And I know people growing up in the church, that they would go to people and say, go to the doctor tomorrow, you’re healed. An example person goes to the doctor tomorrow, they’re not healed. The person goes back to them and says, hey, what happened? And they say, oh, you didn’t have enough faith.
Right. That’s where you’re challenged. Because when you say the Lord spoke something because out of your own emotion and it didn’t happen, you have two choices. You can repent and say, you know what? That’s a lesson learned. I kind of just spoke out of what I shouldn’t have spoken, right? Or you can say, oh, you just didn’t have enough faith. You’re not living for Christ, right. So in all of these things, as you’re dealing with emotions that come into your life, whenever God convicts you and tells you that you have to make sure that you’re living for him and that you are going to live in faith, and even when he convicts you, because you’re following emotions versus following his word, the key to this is don’t let pride take over your life.
Okay. Ultimately, as we’re going to have some discussions today, the most common one that we’re going to experience in our life, and bear with me 1 second. Zayn’s trying to come in. I’m going to admit him right now. God bless you, Zayn. The most common one that we’re going to experience in our life for the most part, because I don’t think any of us want to be false prophets or false teachers.
Right. Acts 1625 through 26. And at midnight, Paul and Silas prayed and sang praises unto God. And the prisoners heard them. And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prisons were shaken. And immediately all the doors were open and everyone’s bands were loosed. Right? Think about how Paul and Silas felt. Probably felt like many of us feel on a daily basis. They were locked up.
They were going through a lot of physical, physical situations there. But they chose faith, and their faith carried them through that storm, right? And it says that as they sang praises unto God and the prisoners heard them and suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prisoners were shaken. And immediately all the doors were open and everyone’s bands were loosed. Is there anyone in here today? Is there anyone in here today who needs some sort of deliverance in your life? Right? You’re going through difficulties.
You’re going through moments. And sometimes emotions can get the best of us. You have faith in Jesus Christ, but you just feel overwhelmed because of the difficulties of your life. And I just want to encourage you today, all right, to make sure that you obey God rather than man. Right. When we look at acts as an example in acts 1711, these were more noble than those in Thessalonica in that they received the word of God with all readiness of mind and searched the scriptures daily whether those things were so this even applies to some of our thought life, to some of our emotions.
Right. Sometimes thoughts may come in our minds that they sound great, they sound phenomenal. But you have to test these thoughts and take them to the word of Jesus Christ, right? Because if not, you could just make an error. Like, for example, Genesis 25 29. And Jacob sought pottage, and Esau came from the field, and he was faint. How many of you today? I’ve been there. Notice that I’m always critiquing myself.
Okay? I’ve been there. When you’ve been at that point in time when you’re exhausted and you make a decision that you later regret. And if you haven’t been there in life, that’s cool, that’s awesome. But if you’ve been there before, you know that feeling of man, I should not have made that mistake. Genesis 25 32. And Esau said, behold, I am at the point to die. What profit shall this birthright do to me.
All right. You have to check those emotions. You have to check those feelings. We have to live by faith. We have to live by faith. Because when you live by faith, the things that seem impossible to man at that point in time, they become possible when you live by faith. You didn’t think that you could get through the day today, right, Rob? Because you had gout. But here you are, you’re playing your guitar, even though you’re in a position that you’re not feeling so well, right? So let’s analyze that today.
Let’s talk faith over feelings and emotions. An example of that today. I’ve been up since 515 in the morning. How many thoughts you don’t think came through my mind as we’re getting to 06:00 and I’m a little bit exhausted, right? But in faith, I’m going to get on here. We’re going to get here. Rob sung a couple of songs. Sarita went ahead and prayed. We’re all here fellowship and talking about the word of God.
And like I said, the most important thing that we want to do today is to make sure that you cast down these imaginations. I’m not saying that you’re not going to have feelings. I’m not saying that you’re not going to have emotions. But take these emotions, take these feelings to the word of Jesus Christ, analyze these thoughts, casting down imaginations to the word of God, allowing God to win.
How many marriages, because of emotions, don’t fail? How many marriages, because of a feeling, cause separation? How many men don’t cheat on their wives because of a feeling, because of a lust feeling, lust is lost, and then they realize what they lost, right? My brothers, my sisters in the Lord. I’m telling you by experience, you don’t want to be a person. You don’t want to be an individual.
That because you’re following your emotions, you make irrational decisions. Irrational decisions aren’t godly. God wants to give us a sound mind. God wants us to renew our minds. God wants us to take every single decision that we’re going to make and submit it to him. And when you submit your decision making process to the most high, something amazing happens. He begins to challenge you before you make decisions.
He begins to convict you so that you live a holier life. He begins to mold you and strengthen you so that as you’re walking on this earth carrying out whatever mission God has given you, that you’re able to walk in faith. I may not see my victory right now. I may not see what I thought was going to happen, but in faith, I believe that Jesus Christ called me.
He is going to see me through it and we’re going to have victory in the name of Jesus Christ. Paul and Silas could have just done nothing in that jail, but they worshiped. They worshiped in the middle of what you’re going through. All right, before we begin discussion, I don’t know what it is. I don’t know what emotions you have. I don’t know if these emotions are discouragement.
It happens in ministry all the time, right? Fear. God did not give us the spirit of fear, right? Anxieties, worries. You don’t think I go through that? I go through that just like anybody else. But this is why at the end of the night when you go home and you’re about to go to bed, right, or in the morning when you get up, you say, God, I don’t feel like going to work.
I don’t feel like doing this anymore. But in faith, I’m going to submit my whole body to you. I’m going to submit my ministry to you, I’m going to submit my life to you, and I’m going to let you operate through me so that this way when people see any actions that are done, that you can be glorified. All right? So in your houses right there, or if you’re listening to this podcast, if you’re watching the replay, I want us to pray for a moment.
And as we pray, it’s important for you to be sincere with yourself. This isn’t about impressing me or anything like that. You know, the Holy Spirit, if he’s convicting you, you know, if those feelings and emotions could be that your heart is being hardened, maybe you’ve become numb to know. Maybe your patience is wearing thinner and your own emotions are justifying for you to act the way you’re acting.
But God is calling you to a higher standard. Whatever it is, you know what it is. I know what it is in my life. So let’s go ahead and pray together, all right? And then we’ll have some discussion in the name of Jesus Christ. Okay? All right. And if you don’t know how to pray, listen, I just talk to him like he’s my father, man. How does my daughter talk to me, dad? Talk to him, all right? Call upon him because he loves you.
All right? All right, let’s go ahead and pray. Heavenly Father, I want to thank you. I want to thank you for your mercy. I want to thank you for your grace. I want to thank you because this week, as thousands of thoughts pass through my brain on a daily basis, many of them that if people would even know, they would be like, what? But that applies to all of us.
Thank you for giving me the grace, the patience, the mercy to be able to take these emotions that sometimes are just wild. These emotions that take us on a roller coaster, that take away our sleep at night. These emotions that take us on a roller coaster, that cause us to strife at home, to say things we should not say, to act out things that we should not do.
Father, you know, in my life personally, I don’t know about anybody in this chat, or I don’t know about anybody that is listening. But God knows that in my life, that if it wasn’t for his grace and his mercy and his conviction on my brain and my thought life, boy, I would be in trouble. Submit your thoughts to Jesus. Submit your feelings to Jesus. Submit those emotions to Jesus Christ and allow him to be able to make you a brand new creation today.
If you are a person who doesn’t know Jesus Christ, if you’re a person who needs to know a little bit more of Jesus Christ, reach out to me at brothernibitalia@gmail. com we would love to send you a bible or send you any material that we can so that this way we can walk with you and help you and pray with you. Okay? But right there where you’re at right now, right there, you can call upon Jesus Christ.
You can repent. You can believe in Jesus Christ and make him your lord and your master. In Jesus awesome name, we thank you, Jesus. Thank you, God. Because you know very well the battles that every single brother in this room is facing. There are some in this room that are stronger than others, and that’s awesome for you. Pray for those that are weaker. But there are some in this room that are at a point that their emotions are out of control.
Their thought life is out of control. The intrusive thoughts are out of control. The anxiety is out of control. We need to regain control over that by submitting this in the name of Jesus and allowing the word of God to filter these thoughts out. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen. I love you guys very much. You guys are special people. I really care about all of you very much.
And I know that for many of you, you making a sacrifice to be here. You’re either at work or you’ve been doing all sorts of things all day long. Thank you for being here. Okay, we want to have some dialogue, some discussion. Brother Chris, are you there. Yes, I am. Brother. Brother, what you think? What’s in your heart, man? It’s really interesting. As we had discussed a day or two ago, the direction you thought the Lord was, know it’s been quite incredible how we have been blessed by the Holy Spirit’s participation in what he wants us to do, and how taking thoughts captive have become such a central and important aspect of our walk with the Lord that he really wants us to get it down and that we can see how that has so many tentacles or roots that spread to so many different areas.
When I was researching Today in scripture, it just dawned on me that peace is connected, so much so to taking our thoughts captive. And what happens if we don’t take our thoughts captive. And just real quick, I went to open Bible and I just did topical study and put peace in the top there. And about 100 plus verses came up. And just reading through these, I’m thinking, wow, lord, you are so good, and your word is so precious and so complete.
It gives us all that we need. And I’ve read over these things for years, and now as these pieces continue to come together and fit together so perfectly, it’s making more and more sense why certain aspects of our walk are critical. I mean, absolutely critical. And taking our thoughts captive is manifested in so many scriptures by having peace. So I’m just going to read a couple. Here’s John 1427.
Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you. Not as the world gives, do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. So right there, those last two statements, those are absolutely about taking our thoughts captive. We’re not supposed to let our hearts be troubled. We’re not supposed to be afraid. So if we are entertaining those kinds of things and we wonder why the struggle seems so intense and things, and I’m guilty.
I’m guilty of this. For most of my life, I did not submit my will, my thoughts, what I allow myself to think about to his authority. And when we start doing that and seeing how plain he makes it, and it’s kind of like, duh. As I read through these things, here’s Romans 1218, if possible, so far as it depends on you live peaceably with all. Again, how many of us, I’ve done this many times myself.
We get on this. You guys have heard me talk about the hamster wheel of destruction. Really? We’ll climb in that baby and we’ll spin it as fast as we can, and we’ll stay there for two, three, 4 hours, all night. And it really stinks that we give in to that. Like I said, I’ve done it many times. But the Lord, praise be unto the Lord. He’s showing me that is not the life he wants us to live.
That is not who, he wants to control us. He wants to control us and he wants to control us by surrendering our thoughts to him and saying, our Lord, our savior is about. And we were talking with a gal today. It’s amazing how the Lord does this tally and I have had some situations we went through very similar, and so we’ve been able to talk about these things and the Lord lets us experience these things simultaneously so we can learn from each other and we can learn how the Lord’s working and what he’s showing us.
And we had a sister that she’s been on this group a few times. She’s from the UK and she called this afternoon and she goes, I just don’t have peace. I just don’t have peace here. I just looked through 40 or 50 scriptures about peace and this woman calls because the Lord knew that she needed to have someone talk to her about peace. I didn’t know it. I didn’t have a clue, but it’s just how mighty and awesome he is.
Here’s a couple more scriptures. Hebrews 1214. Strive for peace with everyone and for the holiness. For without it, no one will see the Lord. Romans eight six. For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the spirit is life and peace. How many times do we fall into the trap of the enemy that he puts thoughts in our minds. We take them, we toy with them, we let them do their dirty tricks to us, even causing us to get into the flesh.
I’ll get them back. How dare they do that to me? And they have no right and all those kinds of things. I’m sure we’ve all been there at times, but now if I allow myself to slip in there and be that person, I’m like, yuck, Lord, I don’t want nothing to do with that. Nothing to do with that. And I just realizing today that the whole avenue of peace and what peace means to us is directly connected and intertwined with taking our thoughts captive directly.
And then I think about not allowing ourselves to be offended. Oh my goodness. I never knew what a doorway that was to so many other things. And in Matthew 24 ten, Jesus himself explains it to us and he tells us, we’re going to get offended and we’re going to do this and we’re going to do that, and we’re going to do that. And you know what? All the ands that he puts in there, none of them are good.
None of them are good things. So we should stop right at that, offended. And the red light should be going off. Lord, show me how not to be offended. I see this is a very bad pathway to go down, and I don’t want to go down that path. So please strengthen me in that area. Here’s psalms 30, 414. Turn away from evil and do good. Seek peace and pursue it.
So right here is another example. We get evil thoughts. We get evil intentions. We got to cast those things away. We got to take our thoughts captive. No, that’s not my agenda anymore. My agenda is you, Lord Jesus, to walk in your presence, to be able to know that I can constantly just my thoughts with your thoughts so I don’t have to come to you. Lord, what do you think about this? What do you think about that? I realize your presence is always with us.
He tells us that it’s only when we shy away from that and don’t include him in those intimate relationships that he wants to have with us. Even as this may seem silly. I’ve been out working in the shop before, Lord. Where did I put that five eight wrench? I know you know exactly where it is, and that seems like a little insignificant thing. 30 seconds later, I walk over, and the wrench is setting on the edge of a table.
I’m like, you are so good. And he loves giving us joy and even those little kinds of things. He wants to be involved in all those things. So just maybe one or two more, and then I’ll have Heidi lend her voice to this little bit that I wrote today. The God of peace soon will crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.
So we got to remember that the victory’s won. He’s given us all the tools that we need. Unfortunately, I’ve spent little time in the toolbox, little time familiarizing myself with the tools. And I’m so thankful that these last several years, he’s made me realize there’s just a handful of things that we have to be really good at. I mean, the first one is loving God with all our heart, mind, soul, and strength.
Everything flows from that. And I’ve noticed for sure, the ability to overcome sin is directly connected with our ability to love God more and more and more. And so that’s a beautiful thing. Praise God for that. I just want to encourage all of you. Thank you so much for coming. And tally and I, we try to sharpen each other all the time and go to the Lord and seek him in the things that we’re doing.
And we know that we’re not perfect, but we’re thankful that we are developing one accord with you all. It is so important to me, and I know is brother tale, too, to actually be with brothers and sisters that want them to be one accord above all things. Not to be right, not to have the last say, not to get their way on the color of the carpet or whatever it may be, but that we learn.
So when the real crap hits the fan, you know what? We can look at each other and say, brother, sister, come on, we got to go do something for the Lord. And we can count on each other. We know that we’re committed to one another and to the Lord. So I really appreciate your time being here. And our friend Mary Sandoval, her name is up there. She’s been coming for several weeks now.
We’ve known her for several years. And you should probably say a prayer for her because she’s had to put up with my question asking for three years or so, and she’s heard all kinds of them. But we love her and we’re so thankful that she’s here. She’s very shy, though. So if we’ll ever see her, we’ll see. And brother Chris, before Heidi reads that, I wanted to remind everyone that all of us are at different stages of our life.
And some of you may not have gone through some of the things that we’re talking to, but don’t think that you’re exempt, okay? Because in first kings 18, you see how Elijah was able to defeat 400 and 5400 the prophets of bail. You saw how victorious he was. And then you see in first kings 19, Elijah, right, as soon as he heard what Jezebel had said, he immediately was under a juniper tree.
That’s the same brother that was able to walk in victory for the Lord because of the whispers of Jezebel, right? So we may not have the whispers of Jezebel in our life today, but the thought life. Our thought life, okay? Those intrusive thoughts that keep us up at night, right? If Elijah was able to go through those periods, why do we think that we can’t go through those periods? If Elijah was able to be in a position of victory with the prophets of Baal, in the chapter later, here he is saying, end my life, right? So as Heidi’s going to read what she’s going to read, just want to remind you that, that depending on what stage of your walk that you’re in, you may be at the stage that you’re like, man, everything’s good.
I’m straight. Awesome. We’re just trying to prepare you because you were going to go through moments in life. I go through my ups and I go through my downs. This is why we talk about this stuff, all right? So just be encouraged, all right? Because even when Elijah fell, and he was at that point that he was like, you know what? I’m done. I’m done. God was still there.
He was still there. And maybe that’s you today. All right, go ahead, Sister Heidi. We are created in God’s image. Somehow, especially in today’s society, we have the misguided understanding that anything goes, particularly in the area of unbridled emotional outburst. Our society is becoming overrun with such behavior. As believers, we are instructed to be obedient to the will and the ways of our beloved savior. When we rely on God’s word and the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit, we should all be able to claim victory, but only when we demonstrate self control, which should always be the norm, not the exception.
After all, love and self control are the place markers for the fruit of the spirit. When pride resides in us, we will become a vulnerable target for the enemy. This is the primary characteristic the enemy looks for while planning an attack. If we are constantly posting our opinions without guidance from the Holy Spirit, chances are pretty good pride is involved. Just because we think we have the right answer doesn’t mean the timing of giving that answer is correct.
When we allow our thoughts and emotions to fester while encapsulated in our pride, look out. We should constantly be in guard of any pride trying to sneak into our lives. To Satan, pride is like a wounded animal or one that has strayed from the safety of the herd. That’s how we become his target. Think of this for a moment in the context of this verse. One, Peter five, b, eleven through eleven.
Excuse me? First, Peter five, verses five, b through eleven in the amplified classic version. Clothe yourselves, all of you, with humility as the garb of a servant, so that its covering cannot possibly be stripped from you with freedom from pride and arrogance toward one another. For God sets himself against the proud, the insolent, the overbearing, the disdainful, the presumptuous, the boastful. And he opposes, frustrates and defeats them, but gives grace, favor and blessings to the humble.
Therefore, humble yourselves, demote. Lower yourselves in your own estimation. Under the mighty hand of God, that in due time he may exalt you, casting the whole of your care, all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns once and for all on him, for he cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully. Be well balanced, temperate, sober of mine. Be villagent and cautious at all times for the enemy of yours.
The devil roams around like a roaring lion in fierce hunger, seeking someone to seize upon and devour. Withstand him. Be firm in faith against his onset, rooted, established, strong, immovable and determined, knowing that the same identical sufferings are appointed to you, to your brotherhood, the whole body of christians throughout the world, and that after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who imparts all blessings and favor, who has called you to his own eternal glory in Christ Jesus, will himself complete and make you what you ought to be, established and ground you securely, and strengthen and settle you to him.
Be the dominion, power, authority, rule forever and ever. Amen. So be it. The reason I mentioned this first is because of pride. We have a huge target on our back. We are exposed, unclothed. The enemy sniffs out and then launches a barrage of unproductive thoughts in hopes of us taking the bait. Oftentimes we take the bait. We are led down the path of emotional instability. In short period of time I was able to find 100 plus verses talking about peace through the scriptures.
It is clear that peace is a choice no matter what our circumstances are. We are not to give into temptations of lust of the flesh. Allowing ourselves to get in emotionally charged situations without self control almost always leads to wrong behavior. Think about it carefully. If you find yourself with this reasoning, reject it. I don’t deserve to be treated like that. Everybody always does this to me. Why? Who do they think they are? I’m sure you can recall a number of other thoughts that allow us to have pity party for ourselves as well.
Jesus makes it very clear for us he suffered when he was here on earth, and so will we. We should wear this as a badge of honor and rejoice. Thank you, Lord, for allowing us to experience some of the things that you did in John chapter 1427 new King James version peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you.
Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. John 1633 these things I have spoken to you, that in me you may have peace in the world. You will have tribulation, but be of good cheer. I have overcome the world and we have James 316 through 18. In the easy version, if you are jealous of other people and you want to make yourself important, that will cause trouble.
People will argue and fight against one another. They will do all kinds of bad things. But if God makes you really wise, you will live in a completely good way. That is the most important thing. Also, you will live in a way that brings peace. You will be kind to other people so that they become your friends. You will listen to them and not argue. You will forgive them and do many good things to help them.
You will not choose between people and you will not be a hypocrite. Those who bring peace to other people help them to live together in peace. As a result, people choose to do what is right and good. The Lord is so merciful to us. He gives us great instruction and counsel through his word. I know we’ve talked extensively about taking thoughts captive and it is crucial that we do.
Seeking out all the verses that talk about peace will help us by having an impenetrable barrier against the wrong kinds of thoughts and behaviors. We won’t get easily tripped up emotionally. So here’s just a few questions to ponder. Do you constantly seek peace in all situations? Are you always allowing your emotions to be checked by the Holy Spirit? Can you tell when the enemy is trying to manipulate you through emotions? Our body language can trigger emotional responses pushed by the enemy.
Are you on guard against this? Can you be at peace and still so I’m going to repeat this. Can you be at peace and still so that you may know God? Is there an eagerness to maintain peace and harmony being of one accord? Are you willing to suffer to receive the peaceful fruit of righteousness in your own life? Are you experiencing the peace that passes? All understanding that Jesus spoke about is pursuing righteousness, faith, love and peace, your heart’s desire.
Do you ask the Lord on a regular basis how to be more like him? I just want to. I’m going to say it again. I couldn’t get that word out. Most of these things I failed at my entire life, and I’m 65, so probably nobody on this screen can fail as many years as I failed at it. But I can say this man alive once, seeing the light of his ways and actually doing them, it’s true.
It works. It bears fruit, and it’s a wonderful thing. So when these questions are asked, they’re never intended to be asked in a way to make anybody feel condemned ever. They’re only asked in a way for us to be more open, more available. All of our real estate to be his. If there’s anything hidden, anything that we haven’t really thought about, anything that we’re holding back, we want him to have authority over it.
We want him to be able to point things out in our lives. We want him to guide and direct us. So just know that when these questions are posed, that’s always where they’re coming from. And when I read through these, I’m reminded often how many years I failed in all of them. So just want to encourage you in that area. Amen, man. Amen, man. Sometimes we need to take those times to.
Just last week we talked about self examining ourselves, right? Sometimes after we’ve gone through this journey, if we’re exhausted, if we’re like Elijah, we just have to rest in the Lord a little bit and allow him to be able to heal us and restore us. You know what I mean? When you read that story in one kings 19. It’s beautiful how God was merciful with Elijah when he was struggling.
Hebrews 414 through 16 lets us know that we have an awesome messiah that understands when we’re going through it. Let’s go ahead and have some discussion, if that’s okay with you guys. One or two minutes. I see a lot of faces here and I just wanted to say hi. And next week we’re going to start devotionals once again, given opportunity, so that this way we can keep on developing each other.
Alex and Paige day, if you can. Next week, if you can get something ready, that’ll be like, God’s bringing this together full circle, little by little, you know what I mean? And that’s the cool part. You know what I mean? It’s cool to see God do what he do. And I always rejoice when I see familiar faces. I see Michelle here. Sarita, right? Metal for Emmanuel. Right? Brother Lou.
God bless you, Lou. I miss you. Haven’t seen you in a minute. I love you, bro. I got to pass by and take you that turkey bacon, egg and cheese, whatever it is. Love you, Lou. I see Joseph Lewis. Joseph. How you doing, Joseph? Can you say hi real quick? How you doing? I’m doing good. How you doing? Good, man. How’s your day been, man? Well, it’s been great.
I’m at work. Right, good. I’ve been following you for a while, man, and I finally got a chance to get on, so it was a blessing. Hey, it’s a blessing you’re here, man, and I hope you have a blessed day at work. And it’s just I saw your face and just wanted to say hi and let you know that we’re here for you, man. We’re here for you, man.
I appreciate it. It’s a blessing, no? Absolutely, man. William. William Dundas. How you doing, William? I’m doing good. I had a friend that introduced me to you. Yeah? That’s cool. I figured I’d join. I live in Jersey, but my son’s in Arizona and. Awesome. I’ve had a problem in the past with, how would I say this? Online gatherings where people would rope you in and take it to a level that was not biblical.
And I’ve kind of shied away from doing that. But I’ve been talking to a friend and they believe that you’re the real deal for the time frame that I’m in now with being on the east coast. So I figured I’d come check you out. I appreciate that, bro. Glory to Jesus Christ. Always hold me accountable, you know what I mean? Always hold me accountable, brother. If we ever at a point that we’re not preaching sound doctrine, let us know.
We’re here to make sure we do what we got to do. Question. We talked about emotions and how they can distract us sometime. Have you experienced that this week at all? Have you experienced a moment where your emotions tried to overtake that faith that you have in Jesus? Yes. How do I explain this? I was married and divorced. My ex wife had a baby with another man, then came home and had sex with me and made me believe that that baby was mine.
And I raised it for five years until her now husband was settled in his job. And then the divorce went through. And I’ve had a very tough time trying to one find myself with everything I have been through. And I’ve met this beautiful young woman that directed me back to God. And everything has been going better as far as I’ve gotten involved with a local church and they’re more helping the community, which is what I really wanted while helping me find myself again.
And now I think she’s leaving. Glory to God. She finally had her prayers answered and she’s moving on. And I’m kind of happy, yet sad. I’m happy for her that her future is looking brighter and I’m sad that I’m going to be losing that connection that we had every week. I get that, brother. And my heart goes out for you, bro. One can only imagine the roller coaster of emotions you’ve been through, brother.
Know that if you need anything at all that we can do to pray with you or to pray for you or just to be there with you, you can email us. We’ll post the email addresses here on the actual chat for you. So you can know that we can. Throughout the week, if you need anything, we’re there for you. All right, bro. Don’t feel like you got to go through this battle alone.
And I know that some congregations and stuff like that, and there’s a lot of bad experiences out there with the roping and in, but I tell you, bro, on this end, bro, always test everything we say to the word of God. There’s no strings attached, man. You can come and go as you want, but just know that we love you. All right? All right. We got you, bro.
Please email me. Brotherneftalia@gmail. com I definitely want to chat with you. All right, bro. Okay. I just want to mention real quick, tally and I were just talking about this. We’re going to start offering a men’s group, too, where we can fellowship and learn how to be of one accord and to be the warriors that the Lord is calling us to be. And I’m always looking to be sharpened more by my brothers, so we’ll be posting that pretty soon.
And heidi has a woman’s group that she started. We want to get connected with all of you as much as you allow us to. So just want to put that out. Yes, sir. Medal for Emmanuel. What about you, man? I’ve seen you here a couple of times. I appreciate it, man. You’re a solid brother. Have you gone through a moment where this month where emotions, you had to check your emotions with the word of God and compare them to the word of God and allow God to win? I actually got a great testimony about that this past Friday at work.
My wife had to go to the doctor and we was kind of shorthanded at work. And I told the boss, I said, look, I got to take my wife to the doctor. And he called me in his office and basically said, look, I need you here. So he looked me in the face and pretty much said, this place is more important in your family. But I kept my cool and I told him, we can reschedule it because, glory to God, she’s not.
Nothing’s wrong with her. Actually, there’s a very great thing right with her is why we’re taking her to the doctor. But no one knows that. He doesn’t know that. And so I went back, I got my loader that I drive and spent about 2 hours forgiving him, because if I didn’t, I’ve gone down that road of bitterness, of not forgiven and how it has seeped into every aspect of my life and my personality affected people that had nothing to do with the situation.
And I spent 2 hours going no to all them thoughts that I’ve fallen prey to before and glory to God. We rescheduled, I’m cool with the boss, and I let it go. I’m not going down that road again. I’m glad. The wife is awesome. And, man, isn’t it great? Metal for Emmanuel, when we’ve gotten to the point that we can see where the devil’s at work, like, when someone’s even just starting to talk, you can already.
Oh, all right. And then you can be a peacemaker and use that discernment. It’s a blessing, man. That’s awesome. So the wife, he’s good, right? That’s a blessing, man. That’s good to see. And thank you for being here, man. Metal for Emmanuel. Would you mind bringing a devotional next week? You think you good with good, good stuff. Good stuff. Brother Roger, how you holding up, man? Callie, thank you.
I’m doing all right. I’m doing all good. I’m hanging in there. And Lord’s been good to me to kind of touch on what you were saying earlier. I’m at an interesting point right now because I’ve drawn closer to God, but my worldly life has gotten easier, which is funny, because I always felt that the closer that I walked God, the world would hate me. And what’s happening is, it’s backwards.
I’m getting pulled two ways, right? Where I’m getting along with. I usually get along with everybody, but I’m actually becoming more like one of the boys. I’m not sure if I necessarily like that, because I feel like I’m being stuck between having to choose between that worldly acceptance versus my time with God. So an example would be like, I choose to be here on a Bible study on a Tuesday, right? But if I were to tell my friends, my coworkers, or the cool kids that thing, they’d be like, oh, okay, that’s weird, that’s different.
But it’s just an interesting road that I’m on right now, because I have to know how much of this is a seared conscience and how much of this is actually the Lord giving me a covering, the Lord giving me a blessing. Does that make sense? You mentioned earlier that we’re all kind of on different walks, so this is just kind of where I was at. Absolutely. My life kind of takes a lot of different forms.
I mean, we all have different problems. That come up. But for some reason, that’s the one that stands out where it’s like, that door looks so appealing, right? Because my day to day life would be much easier. But then I’m thinking you guys would never really be my friends before you found out this stuff about me. I get that, man, this feels real being with you guys here.
This feels a lot more real to be able to just share their open heart of actually being a true Christian rather than having this facade of being accepted by the world, right? Because I have those components, right. I take care of myself, I work out, I train, and I haven’t told a lot of people this, but I do work in law enforcement, so that’s the other thing, too.
That kind of puts me out there as well. So I try to keep a low profile, try to be low key, try to be humble, but for some reason, it’s like these little things pop up here and there, like little temptations, whether it’s like, hey, you want to come and associate with this person and have some sort of status or prestige, and it just doesn’t feel right. So I end up having to leave situations to go be by myself so that I could have some time with the Lord because it’s the only person that I feel authentic around.
Does that make sense? That’s beautiful, actually, bro, that doesn’t just make sense. That’s beautiful. There’s nothing more beautiful than know. And I totally get exactly what you’re know and to the world, that’s going to sound crazy, roger, to the world that sounds know, but how much more beautiful is it that your best friend’s Jesus, bro? Think about that, bro. That’s pretty awesome, man. You know what I’m saying? The fact that Jesus is your best friend, what? That’s phenomenal.
I’m proud of, you know, and also that builds up a lot of stamina, too, bro. Just like in fighting. I know you’re a fighter. Just like you’re building up stamina and fighting. God’s preparing you for something, bro. And that boldness is going to keep on growing more and more and more and more and more because a day will come where you may have to stand alone before a lot of more people.
So God’s slowly taking you there, man. I’m proud of you, man. That’s a blessing to hear, bro. Well, it’s already happening, and so that’s what’s scary, is I’m going to just be, part of me wants to run away because it almost like it’s presenting itself. People will come to me, they’ll share their issues. Well, there’s your problem, man. I was like, you got too much pride. You need to put that pride aside.
And a lot of times people are like, man, that’s awesome, man, that’s really direct. And I was like, you only say that because I can beat you up. I have that upper hand, right? But the fact that they’re willing to listen and I’m talking to these young fighters, 1921, and have every reason in their mind to be arrogant, right? And they get humbled and they feel humble around me.
And then I go, God, what are you doing? I’m not ready for this. Why are you bringing these people? And then when it comes time to share that gospel, it’s almost like I get anxious. I’m like, I have no problem being brave and courageous in other places. When it comes to sharing the gospel, I’m like a coward. And that’s my current walk right now, bro. I get what you’re saying.
I see growth in you, man. I’m actually super proud of you, bro. And God’s going to continue to build that up, man. In any moments you feel like a coward as an example, you know what I mean? Just say, God, give me the strength, give me the strength. And slowly but surely he’s going to give that man, you know what I’m saying? I really need it, tally, because if people knew, like I said, I’m not trying to play myself up.
It just is what it know. Like I’m a street kid, came a fighter, became a cop, and I have all the components that make me look cool, right? I can shoot, I can fight, I can work out, I can do all that stuff, right? And so all of a sudden you get this acceptance from these people that really could care less about Roger, like the real Roger, right? And then here I am.
God puts me in this position to start sharing the gospel because these people are now receptive to me. They were like, they think I’m the cool guy. And then now it’s like, hey, choose your door. Do you want to be accepted by them and be the cool guy or do you want to share with them the gospel and have them wait on their conscience, right? That conviction on their heart.
And for some reason, I apologize if I didn’t get. Sometimes it’s difficult because how can you give me so much courage to do all this battle stuff, all this cool stuff? And then when it comes time to know, like, peter situation, I really feel like a tally, I really, really not. You’re not one you’re not one. You’re making the brave choice to follow Jesus, okay? You’re making the brave choice to follow Jesus Christ, okay? And when we feel weak, Roger, that’s when, man, you know where I would be worried about you, bro? If you were cocky, that’s when I would be worried about know.
But it’s when we’re at our weakest that God can be magnified. He chooses the weak things of this world to confound the know. So he’s going to use those moments of weakness that you feel, Roger. He’s going to use you in powerful, powerful ways that you probably never could imagine. And you know what’s going to happen, bro? Because it’s going to happen in a way that’s just going to be so awesome that the only thing that you can do is glorify the heavenly Father.
You know what I mean? You know what I mean? It’s going to be beautiful, Roger, I’m proud of you, man. I really am. Brother Lou, you have your hand up, brother. Any words of wisdom for our fellow fighter? Roger’s a fighter, too, Lou. Roger, I felt by the Holy Spirit to minister right now. Don’t feel as you’re a coward. You’re going to get empowered right now. I feel the Holy Spirit on this.
You’re the only person to be able to minister to those people because of what God has put in you. You’re the only one that can do that. So everyone’s been given a ministry of reconciliation. You don’t have to go to seminary school for that. It comes through the blood of Jesus Christ. And so you’re ordained by God and then you’re empowered by the Holy Spirit. So I feel a fresh impartation of the Holy Spirit, a filling of the Holy Spirit, that the next time that you share the gospel, it will be with power, and they’re going to feel it and they’re going to turn their lives, because God has ordained you for this moment in life.
For such a time like this, you have been called and you have been ripped out of the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of his dear son. So God is empowering you. Don’t ever feel like a coward. Listen, Peter felt like a coward, but after he was converted and changed, you never hear about him backsliding again. You hear about him preaching the gospel and thousands and thousands of people coming to the Lord Jesus Christ.
So, my friend, I’m telling you today, listen, I know we talked about prophesying and all that stuff, but I feel the Holy Spirit and I’m speaking into you right now that God is using you for this special purpose, that he can’t use anybody else for it because he didn’t put anybody else there. He put you. He put you. And actually, the Bible says that your gift makes room for you amongst people.
So you’re going to find yourself in places. You’re going to find yourselves in places where you’re going to be like, what am I doing here? And it’s for that reason to share the good news of Jesus Christ. So be bold, my friend. Be emboldened from this day forth, a fresh infilling of the Holy Spirit so that you would be able to go into places. Listen, tally’s the same way.
His job requires him to be emboldened. And God gives him the wisdom and gives him the know how of how to speak, of how to those things, because if it wasn’t for the Holy Spirit, he’d jack it up, too. Same thing with me. I go into these schools, what am I going to tell these kids in the school? But I’m going to tell them by the Holy Spirit because he’s empowered me to do it.
Or fighters, former professional boxers, whatever it is. I mean, God empowers you to do great things. And that’s why he’s telling you that, that he sees growth, that he sees that you’re growing in the Lord. And so we just want to encourage you tonight to walk in the power of the Holy Spirit. And that’s what happened on the day of Pentecost, that the Holy Spirit would come upon you and that you would be a witness in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and to the uttermost parts of the world.
God’s going to use you, my friend. God’s going to use you, my friend. And really quick, Tally, the other fellow, I felt that we needed to minister to talking about with the whole situation with the wife and the child and then the girlfriend or whatever, the relationship. But he said something very special. He said that he got back into the local church where he wanted to be in helping the community.
God used it. You’re connected back to God, and that’s the most important thing. Although, yes, we look for companionship and all of those things, and we pray that you find that person. But you found God. You found God. You found the Lord again, and he restored your relationship. He used it. He used it to restore whatever the enemy meant for bad. God took it and he made it for good, and he restored your relationship.
There’s nothing better than that to be restored back that you be known by God, man. I feel the Holy Spirit. So I just wanted to encourage you guys in the word and just be filled today. Be filled with the spirit of God and just be strengthened and run the race. Run the race. And listen really quick, man. I’ll slow up because I know I only got a short time, but Elisha, Elisha, when Gehazi said, look, all of this army is before us, Elisha turned and said, man, he made a prayer.
He said that you would open the eyes of my servant and that you would see that there’s more with us than with them. There’s more with us than is with the enemy. The enemy cannot do anything. There’s more on our. There’s. All of heaven is backing you up. All of heaven is with you and God is with you. So if God before us, then who could be against us? I love you guys.
I love you, bro. Lou, God bless you. I’m glad you’re being here every Tuesday, man. And I got to take you that turkey bacon, egg and cheese and all that stuff. And I love you, man. Thanks for the encouragement. Just get in the gym. That’s all that I want. I know. Be encouraged, man. And it’s awesome how we’re all coming together. I mean, look at this guys we have in church.
Little by little, right? None of this is conventional. We’re all in different parts of the world, but we’re all slowly but surely coming together. And that gives me a lot of joy. That gives me a lot of joy. We’re going to pray for all the prayer requests that we have, if possible, only because I do have to cut the live stream a little short because of the fact that I do got to get up super early and I want to spend time with the wife and the kid.
But the zoom will still continue. And if you’re watching this replay and you want to participate in the zoom, just go ahead and join in the future. You know what I mean? Or visit us@tftministries. com join our website. I’m excited. I’m excited where this is going for Jesus. Heidi, you ready to pray? Awesome. Yes, Father God, you are our shepherd. You are our shield. You are protector, our savior, our redeemer.
There is no other God to turn to. Many of this world may say there’s many paths, but we know that there is just one. And it’s through you, Jesus. We come to you, Lord, because our hearts want to worship you with our tongues as we proclaim your word. Mostly, oftentimes, we need it proclaimed to ourself, as we read it, as we believe it, and as we proclaim it to others.
We worship you in obedience, Lord, and our heart’s desire is to be obedient to your word. Lord, we give praise to you because you have blessed us in many ways, even when we didn’t realize it. As we lay these requests at your feet, Father God, we do it with faith, believing you hear these concerns, Lord God. So we do say, Lord, if there’s anyone with these prayer requests, we pray for each individual that every time we come to you, Lord, that there’s nothing between you and us.
So, Lord, if we’ve been disobedient or have doorways open, Lord, that should not be opened, Lord, we want discernment so that they can be shut. We want discernment to know, Lord, that we don’t want to sin against you. So please bring to us, Lord, conviction. If there’s things that we need to ask for forgiveness for, Lord God. And if we need to forgive others so that we can come to you boldly, Lord God.
So make that known to each of us. Father, we do pray for Roger, Christina, Stacey and William. Lord, that there would be an increased faith with these individuals, Lord, it is something you would want all of your children to have, is an increased faith. And faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. May they have a hunger and thirst, Lord, for your word. May they go and eat of your word each and every day, Lord, to draw closer to you and have increased faith.
We pray that any issues or anything from the past, Lord, that they would have it settled and ask for forgiveness. And that any of these past things that try to chain them down, Lord, may they be able to be set free, Lord, in seeking you. And Lord, we do think that each and every time when we’ve gone through difficulties, that what the enemy may use for bad, Lord, that we will use it for good.
And how wonderful to know that when your word goes out, Lord, it doesn’t return void. I’m thankful for the brothers and sisters who, Harold and Catherine that have put out the Bible verses on the prayer line, on the chat. And Lord, even ourselves as we go about our day with the words that we place out, Lord, it doesn’t return void. Somebody will read it and grow in a deeper faith in you.
We pray also for Roberta Mc and rob and sterling stutts. Lord, we’d ask for a healing touch upon their body. We ask for any type of things that some have put about here as having intrusive thoughts daily and anxiety. Lord God, may they take your word so much like a sword and put it forth, Lord, with these every time a thought comes, Lord, could they even remember just a passage from your word to say it? To submit to you, Lord, and resist those thoughts of the enemy and knowing the enemy will flee.
We do continue in prayer with Roberta, wanting prayer for her family. Lord, we don’t know what the circumstances are, but we are asking by faith that their hearts would be drawn to you, that they would be drawn to having a close, deep relationship with you, Lord God, and for all of us. We’re thankful for the protection that you provide us and our families. We do pray for black butterfly.
She would like to have prayer for Miguel, the youtuber that is a minister who’s homeless. Lord, we pray for this individual, Lord. The shield of sun is his channel. I believe that this individual, Lord, would be able to find shelter and have aid in this time of need. Lord, we pray according to what your will is so that your truth and your light can shine forth in this time when there is such a need for this witness.
In your name. We also pray requests from Zayn for Sarah and Aaron that they would like to return to Israel. Father God, we do ask for your perfect will to take place for Sarah and Aaron, that they, Lord God, may find a way back to Israel, providing that’s what you want for them, Lord God. And may they wait patiently and continue to do your work where you have placed.
So we do keep them in mind. Pray for Nabel Javid working with children in the brick factory. Lord God, may he be able to be a servant to help those children in need and proclaim truth. And no one would ever choose that as a horrible, deplorable situation as a young child to be basically a slave in a brick kiln. Lord, we pray for those dear little souls that have to endure that toiling, that they may somehow, some way come to know you as lord of their life and be able to have your truth instilled in their heart.
Pray for ervitria. It’s an area where there’s conflict. We pray for the brothers and sisters that live in that area, that they may be able to be strong and overcome these different obstacles there, Lord, that they would be able to, amongst all these trials and tribulation there, that they could continue to hold fast to your truth and bring other souls to your saving grace, Father God, and also for Zane, for discernment with anger, that it would be directed that there would be difference between a righteous anger, Lord, things that go against your will, Lord, that we would pray against those things.
And perhaps that would help Zane to know, Lord, what is the anger that we should be very disappointed in? And then that we would love, Lord, those that do things against your perfect will, Lord, that we would pray for them, that they would have a change of heart before they take their last breath. Thank you, Lord, for hearing these prayers. Thank you. That there is victory for those who put their trust in you.
Even though the world sees believers in Christ, perhaps in a way that seems defeated, we know that. We know that there is coming a day, whether they want to do it or not, there is a day coming that every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus is, Lord, what joy there is knowing that we can do that now in this day and in this time.
Thank you, Father God. Thank you, Jesus, because of you. Amen. I just want to let everybody know before you go off of YouTube, tally, if they want to keep posting prayer requests, Heidi can keep writing them down and we’ll spend some more time on Zoom here. And we will pray again if there’s added prayer requests because I think there were still some coming up that we weren’t able to get to.
