The Euphrates River continues to dry up. Recent predictions say it will be completely dry by 2040. At the same time, the Sahara Desert is seeing record rainfall and flooding, leading some to believe prophecies written in the Book of Isaiah are being fulfilled. These prophecies aren’t only written in the Bible, they’re also in the Islamic Hadith. But there’s a crucial aspect to these similarities that many people overlook. For the past three years, the Euphrates River has been drying up unlike anything we’ve seen in recent history. The comparison between 2021 and 2023 shows drastic changes in the water level.

In an article from February 2024 from Discover Magazine, it talks about the multiple set of complex factors that are causing the river to dry up, including 22 dams along the river that were built in the 1980s and 1990s. Large parts of the river flow through areas with severe conflicts going on, such as in Syria as well as in Iraq. Some of these nations are damming up more water than they should to keep the water for themselves and not send it downstream. The article asks the question, when will the Euphrates River dry up? Levels are dangerously low and the concern is that the river will dry up completely by 2040.

The Euphrates River drying up is mentioned in multiple Bible prophecies. In Revelation 1612, it says the river will dry up so that the way for the kings from the east will be prepared. Revelation 9 14-15 reaffirms this prophecy stating that after the Euphrates dries up, four angels will be released from it that will lead to the death of a third of mankind. This all takes place during the last days when God’s wrath is poured out on the earth for the rebellion to his ways and the rejection of Jesus Christ his Son as the Savior of the world.

Hadith are claimed to be the words, actions, and approvals of Muhammad and believed to be from God according to those following Islam. In Hadith 1822, it also states that the Euphrates River will dry up before the Judgment Day. It says that the hour or the last day will not come to pass before the river Euphrates dries up and reveals a mountain of gold that people will fight over. Seeing the Euphrates start to dry up makes many Muslims believe that the Hadiths are true, but as we read it was written in the Bible in the book of Revelation 800 years before any of the Hadiths were even created.

We see this a lot with Islamic teachings. Things that are coming to pass that are in the Quran and the Hadiths were first written in the Bible. There are no genuine Islamic prophecies that are coming to pass that cannot be traced back to being written in the Bible first. This is more evidence that Muhammad plagiarized a large portion of his beliefs to write in the Quran that are originally found in the Christian manuscripts that certainly were circulating in the Middle East where Muhammad grew up. We see this same type of plagiarized dual prophecy right now taking place with what’s going on in the deserts in the Middle East.

Isaiah’s vision, Sahara Desert, blooming. The Sahara Desert has experienced increased rainfall and even snow in recent years. This has led to the growth of visible vegetation in certain areas. Satellite images of Tenat, Niger, acquired on September 8th, 2024 show a visible increase in green patches compared to images from September 14th, 2023. Multiple different atmospheric changes are causing some areas of the Sahara Desert to see a 500% increase in their typical monthly rainfall. 2024 is forecasted to be the wettest year for the Sahara Desert since 1994. Multiple prophecies in the book of Isaiah say that this type of thing will be taking place within the deserts.

The arid desert shall be glad. The wilderness shall rejoice and shall blossom like a rose. I’m about to do something new. Even now it shall come to pass. Suddenly you shall perceive it. I will make a road through the wilderness and rivers in the desert. A very similar prophecy to those written in the book of Isaiah is found in Hadith 76. The last hour will not come before wealth becomes abundant and overflowing. So much so that a man takes out zakat, money for charity, out of his property and cannot find anyone to accept it from him until the land of Arabia turns into meadows and rivers.

In this case we have the prophecies written in the book of Isaiah over 2000 years ago. The teachings of Isaiah absolutely had made their way around the Middle East, proving that this prophecy about the deserts being filled with water is just another prophecy that was found written first in the Bible then 800 years or a couple thousand years later as in this case in the Hadith and in the Quran. What just happened on October 28th 2024 is we saw what looks to be more fulfillment of this prophecy in Isaiah with water in the deserts.

Rare Sahara floods bring Morocco’s dried up south back to life. Multiple people in the region are quoted as saying this has been a blessing from the sky and the desert became green again, the animals have food again, and the plants and palm trees came back to life. Many Muslims believe that the Quran and the Hadiths are from God when they see this type of news, similarly we saw something in relation to this back in January 2024. Saudi Arabia’s deserts turn green around holy cities Mecca and Medina in proof of judgment day prophecy.

Many Muslims point to these events as being proof that the Quran and the Hadiths are from God. But again, any time you see an Islamic prophecy that looks like it’s coming to pass, it can be traced back to originally being written in the Bible first. The Bible has proven itself to be 100% accurate in its prophecies time and time again. Even now with what we are seeing take place in Israel, the wars and rumors of wars, all the nations of the earth gathered together against it. The fact that the Jewish people and the state of Israel even became a nation.

All of this was prophesied in the Bible to take place before it started happening. For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy. Jesus is the Word of God made flesh. He alone fulfilled over 300 prophecies when he came to earth to suffer the death of the cross and rise from the dead in victory over our sins. The fulfilled prophecies written in the Bible prove that the God of the Bible is the one and only true God. The deserts coming back to life and seeing water appear in them is prophecies that was first written in the book of Isaiah.

The same thing goes for the prophecies of the Euphrates River drying up. They were originally written in the book of Revelation. It’s important to remember in relation to the Euphrates River that God’s timeline doesn’t have to be 2040 like the article said for the river to dry up. We saw the drastic changes that took place just between 2021 and 2023. The prophecy in Revelation also doesn’t say that the river will disappear overnight or what will cause it to dry up. It doesn’t matter if the cause is dams diverting the water from people downstream or overuse.

The prophecy just says that the river will dry up proving that God’s words are true written hundreds and thousands of years before the Qur’an or any hadith. Prophecy is an amazing and beautiful thing. It proves the Bible is written by the one true God and the spirit of prophecy is the testimony of Jesus. The only way to be united with this one true God and be delivered from his wrath when it’s fully poured out on the earth like when the Euphrates River fully does dry up is by believing in his son Jesus Christ.

For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life. [tr:trw].
