You’re not like the rest. You carry yourself differently. You speak your truth, live authentically and stand firm even when it goes against the grain. Someone recently crossed paths with you and it changed the way they see you. You might not have even noticed it. You were just out living your life, shopping, running errands or doing something ordinary. But this person, someone who has been watching you, trying to figure you out, came a little too close. In that moment, they had an encounter with your true essence. Even if you only exchanged a smile or a casual compliment, your authenticity shone through.
That simple moment made them question all the gossip, slander and lies they may have heard about you. They realized none of it was true. This isn’t random, it’s God working through you. Without even trying, your presence left a mark on someone’s life. Sometimes, just being yourself is enough to shift the narrative and let others see the truth about who you are. People see your authenticity. They see that you’re not just playing a part. You’re genuinely living the way you’re called to live. And if God isn’t judging you, who is anyone else to do so? Now someone is starting to see the truth about you.
They’re realizing you’re not just kind, but deeply genuine. You’re living your life in the way you’ve been guided to, not according to anyone else’s expectations. But let me tell you something else. Someone crossed paths with you and recognized your potential, your light and your purpose. Instead of celebrating it, they tried to keep you quiet, to hold you back. They wanted to keep your love, your attention and your time all to themselves, afraid you’d share it with others. They feared you’d outgrow, outshine and surpass them. Ironically, these same people never gave you the love or support you deserved.
While you’re simply living your life, trying to show others how to be better, they don’t know how to handle someone like you. With you, it’s clear, there’s no middle ground. You’re either in the light or in the dark, aligned with purpose or against it. And if someone chooses darkness, they’ve chosen to oppose the light you carry. Some people simply can’t handle you when they encounter you. Your love, your light, your truth and your authenticity are overwhelming for them. Instead of rising to meet your energy, they try to drag you down. Instead of working on themselves, they’d rather take from you.
Instead of finding their own path, they cling to yours, hiding in your shadow, trying to ride your wave. But here’s the truth, you’ve broken free. You’ve shed those chains and stepped into your transformation. You’re no longer that caterpillar. You’ve become the butterfly, spreading your wings and soaring to new heights. Some people only knew you in your caterpillar phase, when you were still growing, still figuring things out. Back then, they dismissed you, overlooked you and wrote you off. When you were struggling, trying to rise out of tough situations, they talked down to you. They didn’t believe you’d make it.
But the moment you transformed, the moment you began to fly, they suddenly noticed. Now they claim to know you, acting like they were there all along. When they had access to you, they didn’t value it. Instead, they tried to keep you down, keeping you stressed, confused and doubting yourself. They thrived off your low moments because it made them feel better about themselves. These are people who walk in insecurity and darkness. They can only feel good when they compare themselves to your struggles. When you were down, they feasted on your energy, using your challenges to boost their egos.
But now that you’re rising, they can no longer hold you back. You’ve stepped into your power, and their attempts to keep you small have failed. Keep flying, butterfly. You’ve earned your place in the sky. Let me tell you something, they loved it when you were down. They celebrated it, feeding off your struggles because it made them feel better about themselves. That was their only way to feel validated. But the moment you started rising, even if it was just in your mindset, everything changed. That’s why I always say, it’s not about what you wear, drive or where you live.
True elevation starts in your mind. Once your mentality shifts, you outgrow those insecurities and the people who cling to them. Some people base their entire self-worth on material things. They feel good only when they have the best clothes, cars or homes. But when you decide you’re good with or without those things, you become unstoppable. When you start walking with confidence, dressing well and shining regardless of your circumstances, they can’t understand it. They can’t comprehend how you can carry that level of energy without what they think you need to feel important. You’re not just following trends or borrowing ideas, you’re the source.
They wait for your moves, your words, your creativity because you’re leading the way. That’s boss energy. When people watch you, imitate you or rely on your direction, it’s a clear sign of your power. It doesn’t matter what’s in your bank account or closet. If you weren’t so impactful, they wouldn’t pay attention. Keep shining. It’s all within you. You need to understand how powerful you truly are. When people notice you, when they’re drawn to your presence, it’s because you carry something special. You walk with confidence, with authority and with a light that can’t be dimmed.
Even if you don’t have everything physically in front of you right now, your energy speaks volumes. That alone makes some people uncomfortable. They see your greatness even before you fully step into it. Someone recently had an encounter with you and in that brief moment, they saw exactly who you are. Your character, your authenticity and your ability to simply show up as your true self made an impression that can’t be ignored. All the gossip, the slander and the whispers in their ears don’t matter anymore. Your presence overshadowed all of that. Keep walking in your big boss energy.
Step into the shoes of the person you’re becoming, even if they feel a little too big right now. You’ll grow into them. Stop holding on to what no longer fits, whether it’s relationships, environments or old conversations that go nowhere. You’ve outgrown those spaces and it’s time to move forward. People trying to use outdated tactics to keep you small are running dry. Their energy, their efforts, it’s all dried up because it no longer aligns with where you’re going. Now let me add this. Sometimes people are fixated on you because they’re unfulfilled in their own lives.
They focus on you to distract themselves from what’s lacking in their world. Don’t let their distractions become your concern. Some people simply don’t know what to do with you. Your light, your strength and your authenticity are so overwhelming that it leaves them either admiring you or envying you. When they see you walking with confidence and boldness, they feel threatened, especially if they themselves lack the same energy. They focus so much on you, yet their own lives are crumbling and instead of fixing their problems, they obsess over your every move. They’ve tried to hold you back, keep you small and discourage you from growing.
They wanted to control your energy, your time and your love because they knew your potential. Yet they failed to give you the same attention and care. They thrive on your low moments, using them to boost their own fragile egos. But now they’re watching as you rise above, breaking free of the negativity they tried to trap you in. What they don’t understand is that your greatness doesn’t come from external things. It’s within you. You’re walking into a new version of yourself, growing into the person you’re meant to be. While they’re stuck in their insecurities, you’re moving forward, leaving behind old environments, dry conversations and outdated tactics.
Your journey is yours and their opinions no longer hold any weight. Even the haters have a role, they’re pushing you forward without realizing it. Their obsession, their attempts to bring you down are only fueling your growth. What they meant for harm is turning into your gain. Let them watch, let them talk and let them try. Their energy is only feeding your success. You’re in a season of transformation and nothing can stop the progress you’re making. Keep shining, keep walking in your truth and let the doubters and critics motivate you to reach even greater heights.
