God showed me. This is their sorrow. You’re feeling what they can’t say out loud. And then I saw her in the spirit. This leader, a woman, possibly a pastor or apostle, someone in high spiritual authority, someone who once welcomed you in, who made you feel chosen, seen, maybe even loved like a spiritual parent. And now, you’re left confused and rejected. God said this clearly, don’t cry. Wipe your tears. You’ve been asking, God, why did she turn cold? Why did he push me out? And it hurt so deeply because this wasn’t just leadership to you.
This was trust. This was family. You felt adopted into something sacred. And now you’re questioning your place, your gift, your worth. Let me tell you what God showed me. You are anointed. You may not understand the fullness of it yet, but what rests on your life, it’s not light. You carry something weighty like David, dreams, visions, divine interpretation. It flows through you. You are close to God in a way that makes other people uncomfortable, especially those who operate more in title than in truth. You were brought into that church body to serve, to assist, to support.
You were faithful to the call. And yet the very one who once called you chosen, now treats you like you’re disposable. That betrayal, that heartbreak, God sees it. And heaven is saying, don’t cry. This rejection, it’s redirection. You know what’s heavy? When the very person who first affirmed your calling is the one who later turns their back. That’s what I’m seeing here. This wasn’t just anybody who saw your anointing. This was someone who highlighted it. They didn’t just recognize you were chosen. They made it known to others. They took pride in your calling like a spiritual parent might.
They said, this is my daughter through Christ. This is my son. And when they spoke about your anointing, it wasn’t a flatter. It was the truth. You carry something weighty. A mantle not everyone can understand. And this person didn’t hide that they declared it. They helped others see it. Because they respected you others did too. Their favor became your covering in that space. People welcomed you. You were trusted. You were given responsibilities. You were brought in, not just to serve, but to be seen. And that’s what makes this wound so deep.
This was the place you turn to when life got hard. This was the person you ran to when you didn’t know what else to do. You confided in them. You poured out. You shared your past, your pain, your process. You made yourself vulnerable because they made you feel safe. But then the atmosphere shifted. Slowly, subtly, at first you might have brushed it off. A weird look here, a different tone there, but it built up. The warmth turned into cold shoulders, the embraces faded. People who used to seek your presence started avoiding your eyes.
That spiritual parent stopped calling your name with pride. Suddenly, your presence felt like a problem. And you kept asking God, what happened? The Lord showed me you were mistreated. You weren’t paranoid. Something shifted in the spirit. And it wasn’t because of anything you did wrong. One day you were respected. The next you were tiptoeing around tension you didn’t create. People began to nitpick. Conversations stopped. And the very one who once celebrated your gifts began to treat you like you were a threat. It hurt so deeply, you had to pull away. Not because you didn’t love them, but because staying in that environment was starting to crush you.
So you stopped showing up. You disappeared, not to run, but to survive. You used to show up consistently. Maybe it was every Sunday, every Thursday, or some weekday gathering. Whether it was a church or a ministry-based organization, you were there. You were present. You were committed. But then something shifted. You stopped going. And it wasn’t because you lost faith. It was because the environment started turning on you. What once felt like family became foreign. People began treating you differently. Their tone changed. The way the cold shoulder replaced open arms. You found yourself asking, what did I do wrong? That confusion hit hard, because you know your heart.
You weren’t walking in arrogance or rebellion. You were simply doing what God called you to do. But it felt like that very obedience made others uncomfortable. And then that deeper realization hit, not again God, because this wasn’t new. This wasn’t just about church. This was a wound you’ve carried for a long time, a pattern, a cycle. People love you one minute, celebrate you, lift you up. And the next, they switch. They withdraw. They make you feel like you’re too much or not enough. And it leaves you reeling, wondering if you belong anywhere, wondering why it keeps happening.
That’s what triggered you most. It wasn’t just about them. It was what this situation stirred up in you. That old ache, that old loneliness, that feeling of being unwanted in spaces you were once welcomed. And let’s be honest, it hurt. Not just because you were being treated unfairly, but because you had finally found somewhere you thought was safe. So you stopped showing up, you started choosing peace over presence, whether it was God who told you not to go back, or whether they pushed you out directly, you’re no longer there. And either way, heaven saw it.
Heaven knew what was being stirred. This wasn’t just rejection. This was another layer of healing being called forth. Because you’re not going in circles. This time, it ends differently. God is not just removing you. He’s protecting you. And whatever they saw as too much, God sees is exactly right. Maybe they didn’t invite you back to the next event. Maybe your name was suddenly left off the list. The same things you were once asked to participate in. Now silence. And whether they stopped calling, or you chose to stop showing up, one thing is clear, the shift was real, and it cut deep.
But here’s what God is showing me. First Samuel 18, the story of David and Saul, that shift in spiritual dynamics, that moment when someone in leadership saw the greatness in someone rising, and let jealousy twist what should have been support. But before we even go there, God needs you to hear this part loud and clear. Stop crying. Heaven sees how much this has consumed you. You’re not being dramatic. This isn’t in your head. You’ve been carrying this weight for weeks, maybe even months. The rejection, the confusion, the constant replaying of what did I do wrong.
And it’s like every time you try to focus, your mind circles back to the pain. You trusted them. You opened up about wounds you barely had words for. You let them in. You believed they were going to walk with you through healing. And then they switched up. Just like that, they pulled away, shut the door, maybe even turned others against you. And now you’re sitting with the shock, wondering how someone who stands behind a pulpit could move like that. How someone who speaks of God, of grace, of love, could so quickly treat you like an outsider.
I hear God saying, I felt it too. The most high is not numb to your betrayal, and he isn’t ignoring your tears. He’s telling you now, don’t let this moment consume your whole vision. Don’t let this betrayal bury your calling. Don’t let their rejection redefine your worth. What you experienced is real. It hurts because it mattered. But God is highlighting this to bring revelation, not to keep you in torment. David had to face Saul’s jealousy to fully walk into his kingly anointing. And what feels like the enemy pushing you out is really God pulling you up.
So take a breath, wipe your face. This chapter isn’t over. It’s just turning. [tr:trw].
