These incidents highlight the dangerous influence of fans and the internet on escalating rivalries between rappers, leading to tragic outcomes.
➡ This text discusses a tragic event where a man named Big Drew, under the influence of his brother and the music label CMG, ordered a hit on a rival named Dolph for $100,000. The hit was successful, but led to Big Drew’s own death two years later. The text criticizes the music industry, particularly record labels, for promoting and profiting from this violent culture. It calls for a change, urging people to support artists who positively impact the community instead of those who contribute to its destruction.

Hey guys, I hope all is well. Welcome back to the truth is where I drop new videos every other day exposing the truth. In today’s episode, we will be talking about the rappers who went outside trying to prove their gangster. Let’s get right into it. In hip hop, being a cold hearted killer is rewarded by the fans. As fans love when rappers are living what they are rapping. Unfortunately, fans love to see rappers destroy each other for their entertainment. They love hyping up a beef that leads to a rapper crashing out.
Then the fans pretend to act dumb when someone ends up dead. We have seen this time and time again. Rappers throwing away their career and lives to prove to the internet they are as real as they claim to be. Rappers that are willing to throw away all they built so that people that they don’t even know will acknowledge how real they are. This is the exact story of the three rappers we will be talking about today. Three rappers who wanted to prove that they were as real as they come, only to find themselves awaiting their demise.
Jellabeezy is a 33 year old Texas rapper who was recently arrested for allegedly hiring a hitman to take out his rival Texas rapper Mo3 back in 2020. Back on November 11, 2020, rapper Mo3 was driving on Interstate 35 when he noticed a car tailing him. He realized this car wasn’t just tailgating but was actively following him. In the middle of the highway Mo3 decided to stop his vehicle and attempted to make his way to the passenger side where it’s believed he was attempting to retrieve his weapon. Unfortunately, it was too late as two men had hopped out the vehicle that was following him and began to run down on Mo3.
Mo3 attempted to make a run for it but unfortunately wasn’t able to get too far before the gunman unloaded in his direction, ending him right on the busy highway. Mo3 met his demise in the middle of traffic and sadly his body remained there for several hours before the authorities arrived. The 28 year old rapper was gone and at first no one knew why. Why were these men so desperate to eliminate Mo3 that they were willing to do it in broad day in the middle of a busy highway? Not long after the incident the world would start to get answers.
As the following month in December 2020, the authorities announced the first arrest in the death of Mo3, a man by the name of Kewon Dontrell Wright, with the second shooter Devon Maurice being arrested in April 2021. The two men responsible for the death of Mo3 were arrested and Mo3’s family had gotten their justice. Or did they? As even with these men being arrested a motive behind the killing wasn’t revealed. Why did these two men commit this brazen crime in broad daylight? What was their issues with the rapper? For the longest, people speculated that the hit was orchestrated by another Texas rapper, Trap Boy Freddie, who moments after Mo3’s death posted a video driving by the same highway where Mo3 was taken out, seemingly mocking him.
Trap Boy Freddie was also closely connected to rapper Yellow Beezie and it was well known that Mo3 and Yellow Beezie were beefing. Even though online people speculated that Trap Boy Freddie was likely responsible, no further arrest came. It appeared that the situation was over and the two men arrested were the sole people behind the hit. Almost four years would pass after the arrest of the two shooters. Right when the world least expected it, the authorities arrested Yellow Beezie and charged him with murder for hire, accusing him of being the man who hired the two gunmen who took out Mo3.
The missing piece was finally revealed and while people were shocked, they weren’t surprised as Yellow Beezie seemed like one of the prime suspects since the very beginning. But the question many people were left with was why was Yellow Beezie and Mo3 beefing to begin with? What led to the beef getting to the point where someone had to lose their life? Believe it or not, at one point, Mo3, Yellow Beezie and Trap Boy Freddie were all friends before it went off, with all three of them being seen pictured together here. Now, no one seems to know 100% was started the beef, with some people suggesting the beef started over a girl they were messing with while others say it was rooted in jealousy.
Most of the information I was able to find out suggested that the beef was initiated by Yellow Beezie, with people claiming Yellow Beezie was behind the death of a close friend of Mo3, a Texas comedian named Roy Lee. Roy Lee had done an interview where he dissed Yellow Beezie. Roy Lee was seen on social media aiming many of his jokes at Yellow Beezie, turning him into the butt of the joke, which angered Yellow Beezie because he felt it was ruining his gangster reputation. This led to Roy Lee being targeted by Yellow Beezie allegedly, being shot once in the leg, but surviving.
But unfortunately for Roy Lee, he was ambushed a second time and didn’t survive that incident. It was alleged that after Mo3 found out Yellow Beezie was behind the death of his friend, it sparked the beef between the two. It was alleged he attempted to take out Yellow Beezie in retaliation for Roy Lee, allegedly catching him in a club and chasing him down, ambushing him and unloading into Yellow Beezie’s car, striking him several times. This would leave him in critical condition. After this, Mo3 seemed to brag about being behind Yellow Beezie getting shot, letting the city know he was the one who did it in many of his songs.
This already escalated a heated beef to new levels, and soon, Mo3 would pay for it with his life. Now according to the feds, Yellow Beezie was the man who paid the two shooters to take out Mo3. Now Yellow Beezie is facing life in prison, and even the possibility of the death penalty. Sadly, this has become the same outcome for many of these gangster rappers. Men with fragile egos who are more concerned about what people think about them online, than taking advantage of the opportunity they have in front of them. Both Mo3 and Yellow Beezie were tricked out of a successful music career and a good life to prove they were truly the gangsters they claimed they were in their songs.
They both rapped about their crimes to let the world know they did them, antagonizing the other side, and pushing each other to crash out. These rappers wanted street cred more than they wanted success, and sadly, both ended with similar outcomes, a wasted life. While it was going on, the fans egged it on and enjoyed watching these two men beef. They cheered it on, until both rappers ended up in a box. This is the same story we see from the Lil Durk and Quando Rondo beef. At the end of last year, the rap superstar Lil Durk was arrested and charged with murder for hire, being accused of taking out the cousin of rapper Quando Rondo in retaliation for the death of King Von.
This situation all started due to the internet beef between NBA Youngboy and King Von over a girl. The girl was the female rapper Asian Doll, who had been in a relationship with King Von. She did a song with NBA Youngboy which led to Von getting jealous and hitting up Youngboy’s baby mother to put her on one of his songs. This ended up sparking a full on internet beef with Von dissing Youngboy every chance he got, eventually leading to the death of King Von and sparking the real street beef between Durk, Youngboy and his artist Quando Rondo.
Back in 2020, Quando Rondo was involved in an altercation that led to King Von’s death. King Von who had issues with Youngboy found this artist Quando at a club in Atlanta. While Quando was outside hanging out in front of the club, King Von blindsided him and began attacking him. This is when Quando’s friend Lil Tim saw this, jumped out the car and discharged his weapon towards King Von, taking him out. After this, Durk began beefing with Quando and Youngboy. He made several songs about avenging Von capitalizing off his death. After Von passed away, angry fans pandered Durk for years, claiming that he didn’t avenge Von’s death, taunting him online every chance they got.
The hashtag slide for Von became a common phrase on the Durk social media post. Sadly, it seems the fans had finally gotten to Durk, as allegedly, he tried doing just that. On October 25th, Lil Durk was arrested by the feds for putting a hit on Quando Rondo. The feds had indicted several other men connected to this hit earlier that day, but hadn’t arrested Durk yet. This was until the feds realized that Durk had booked three flights that were heading out of the country. They arrested Durk an hour before his private flight was set to leave to Italy.
The feds took Durk into custody where he is being held without bail. He was charged with conspiracy to use interstate facilities to commit murder for hire, resulting in death. The feds claim they know Durk did it because they have a witness who confirms it all. Now according to the feds, Durk put this hit on Quando back in 2022, promising whoever managed to eliminate Quando Rondo a record deal with his OTF label. The feds released in the indictment that the hitmen were offered rewards, including lucrative music opportunities if they contributed to Quando being taken out.
A credit card linked to Lil Durk and OTF was used to purchase airplane tickets for the co-conspirators to fly from Chicago to California, where they believed Quando was located. This led to a group of five of his affiliates coming up with a plan to get rid of Quando. Eventually, they got the drop that Quando was in West Hollywood, California. The men quickly booked the flights using Durk’s credit card. When they found them, they began stalking him, following him around for several hours. Eventually, they chose to strike when Quando’s vehicle stopped at a gas station.
Durk’s guys saw Quando, hopped out the car, and began unloading into the SUV he was in. Fortunately for Quando, he survived the incident, but unfortunately for his passenger, he wouldn’t. A close family member of Quando passed away due to the hit, as he was struck instead of Quando. Videos of Quando crying over the passing of his cousin quickly went viral. At first, people didn’t know Durk was the man responsible for the hit, as it was believed it could have been a robbery gone wrong or a gang retaliation, but in November 2024, it was confirmed that Durk got his get back.
He finally slid for Vaughn like the internet trolls were antagonizing him begged him to do. He let the internet influence him to crash out. Now the feds were looking to give him life for putting the hit on Quando. Just like Yellow Beezie, Little Durk let the internet and the fans get him to crash out. All over a reputation that honestly means nothing. Little Durk wanted to prove to the fans that he was a real gangster and that he was down to crash out to prove it. Now King Bon is gone, Little Pob is gone, and Durk is awaiting his demise and it doesn’t look good for him.
His desire to be a real street gangster got the best of him. He not only paid for a hit, but bragged about doing it in several songs. Eager to prove to fans, he’s the gangster his music paints him to be. Sadly, the fans love watching these rappers destroy each other, instigating the entire beef until the moment of no return. Just like we saw from the Yo Gotti vs Young Dolph beef. The Yo Gotti vs Young Dolph beef ended very similar to the others we have just talked about. A petty beef fueled by fans, jealousy, and hood credibility led to the death of many.
Not only did Young Dolph lose his life, but so did Yo Gotti’s big brother Big Drew and many others from each side. The problems between Young Dolph and Yo Gotti are rumored to have all started when Young Dolph slept with Yo Gotti’s girl at the time, which made Gotti dislike him. It is also believed the beef could have been started due to Young Dolph turning down a record deal offered to him by Yo Gotti. Not long after this rumor, Yo Gotti and his CMG crew started dissing Young Dolph. This leads to disses coming from both sides sparking the beef publicly.
Not long after the diss songs, the violence came and that’s when the attempts on Dolph started. The first attempt was when he was ambushed inside of his bulletproof truck with alleged CMG associates unloading over a hundred rounds into the truck with Dolph miraculously surviving the attempt. Dolph would even make a whole song dissing CMG for not taking a mile. Shortly after that happened, CMG rapper Black Youngsta was arrested being accused of setting up the crime. He was eventually released as not enough evidence was found to convict him. After this, things only got worse as another attempt happened.
This time, Dolph was actually struck but survived. Again, this situation was attributed to the beef Dolph had going on with Even though CMG had allegedly attempted to take Dolph out twice and failed, it seemed like they just wouldn’t give up. Sadly, those who wanted Dolph dead, again attempted to get rid of him and this time, they finally achieved it. Back on November 17, 2021, rapper Young Dolph was again ambushed and this time, he was taken out outside of a cookie shop in Memphis. Dolph who was in the city to host a turkey drive was ambushed by two armed masked men.
Shortly after Dolph entered the cookie shop, the two men were seen running towards him and cowardly unloading. Dolph was struck multiple times and passed away due to his injuries. This was the last video recording ever seen of Young Dolph, a video of him walking right into his demise. While initially the police had no idea who was responsible, many in the streets and online believe they knew exactly who was behind it. His biggest rival Yo Gotti was quickly blamed. Something that remained speculation until the man responsible for doing the crime came out and admitted it.
On the very first day of trial, we saw the man responsible for taking out Dolph admit he was working for CMG. Cornelius Smith was one of the men arrested for what happened to Young Dolph. During the trial, Cornelius admitted to being one of the hit men involved in the crime. In the courtroom, he not only admitted that he pulled the trigger alongside Justin Johnson, but he also admitted that he did it after CMG had put a $100,000 hit on Dolph. Cornelius testified that he was told about the bounty on Dolph by Hernandez Govan.
According to Cornelius, he met Govan through Justin. Govan was trying to get Justin, who was a rapper by the name of Straight Drop, signed to CMG as Govan knew people over at CMG, specifically Yo Gotti’s brother Big Juke. According to Cornelius’ testimony, he claims that Govan told him and Justin that Big Juke was willing to pay $100,000 for them to take out Young Dolph. Jonathan agreed to do it for the money, but also as an offering to Yo Gotti and CMG as he wanted to sign to their record label. So according to Cornelius, him and Justin waited until November because they knew Young Dolph was supposed to be hosting Turkey drives all month in Memphis.
So they took to the streets to look for him and they found him. They began tailing Dolph all the way to the cookie store when Dolph got out the car to get some cookies. The two men pulled a U-turn and drove into the parking lot. They hopped out the car and unloaded into the store taking Dolph out on the spot. The two were injured as Dolph’s brother returned fire, but they managed to jump back in the car and escape. After you received that letter, did you decide to tell the truth? Right. And what did you do once you decided to tell the truth? I had spoke with my lawyer.
I had spoke with my lawyer. Yeah, I been calling him and I got a car just two. Now they don’t know where my sister is. Yeah, I got a car just two. Well, yesterday, we saw Young Dolph pull in with Jesus. Alright, so whose car is that? It’s Young Dolph’s car. Alright, and you say we, who saw this car? Me and Jessica. Well, let’s back up then and tell me how you know Justin. Oh, through Go-Ban. Alright, and who is Go-Ban? And then there’s Go-Ban, Quit. We know about Quit. Who’s Quit? Uh, Social.
How is it that you met Justin through Quit? Oh, Justin. You know, like, being around, basically. Would Justin be around Quit, too? Yeah, he’d be around Quit. He’d be chillin’ like Brooklyn. Brooklyn. He’d be chillin’ with the rapper. Alright, you knew Justin to be a rapper? Yeah. Did you know his rap name? Straight Drop. And did you know Quit to be involved in, I guess, the rap business or something? He called himself. Okay. Called himself. What sort of would he call himself as far as being in the business? I guess a negotiator.
I don’t know. A negotiator? No, he didn’t. Do you know whether or not he was trying to negotiate for Straight Drop? Yeah, he was trying to get him a deal. Okay. Do you know who he was trying to get him a deal with? Oh, Big Jokey. Alright. He said Big Joke. Is that correct? Yeah. You ever heard of the music label CMG? Yeah. Is that Big Joke’s? Yeah, Big Joke’s. And his brother, right? His brother’s Gotti. Is that correct? Yeah. Okay. But for the record, can you point him out in the courtroom and tell me what he’s wearing and stuff? Yeah, they got him brought over there with the button-down shirt, blue and white button-down shirt.
If a record could reflect that he’s identified the defendant, Mr. Justin Johnson, Your Honor? Would the record reflect that the witness has identified the defendant’s boyfriend? So how did you get to the video with Justin Johnson this day on November 17th, 2021? Well, we knew that, you know, and if he don’t look down from the media, whatever, so… Who had a hit on whose head? It just had a hit on the video and that, so… How do you know that Big Joke had a hit on Doll City? I could quit and told me to quit.
How much money was it supposed to be? $100,000 on Doll City. And had you agreed to do this hit? Yes, sir. Have Justin agreed to do this hit? Yes, sir. Are we all going to do it together? Yeah, they beat on me for it, yeah. Was there any arrangements as far as splitting money or anything? Yeah, me and him will probably give him $10,000 a piece. Alright, so you and him are going to give Govan $10,000 a piece? Yeah. And how much were you going to get? I was getting $40,000 for $40,000.
Okay. Had you spoken with Justin about this? Yeah, we did. We didn’t talk about it. Okay. This was not something that just happened this day, but something that was in the process for weeks? Yeah, weeks. How did y’all hook up this day, if you remember? He had pulled up to give me the time he got me or whatever. Where did he get you from? He got me for my father’s health. Where’s your father’s health? I brought him on scene. Orange Mountain area. He had, either you called him or he called you.
Just like that, these two men ended another man under orders directly given by CMG. It was no longer a speculation, as the man responsible for their crime admitted it on the stand. Big Drew, Gotti’s blood brother, put the word out in the street that he was willing to pay $100K for Dolph’s head, a decision that not only caused Dolph everything, but himself as well. As just under two years after the hit, Big Drew was ambushed and taken out just like young Dolph. Leaving Yo Gotti, not only without an enemy, but also without a brother.
Even though Big Drew was who so called put the hit on young Dolph, we all know why he did it. Big Drew was doing what his big brother wanted done. He wanted his biggest rival gone, and his brother did just that. Gotti most likely celebrated with his brother when Dolph was taken out, only to lose his brother to that very same decision. Now, just like the other situations we spoke about today, this seemingly idiotic unnecessary beef led to the destruction of so many lives. Yo Gotti let the internet trick them into crashing out for their entertainment.
Key, like the other rappers we spoke about, wanted to prove they were the biggest gangster around. They all wanted to prove to the fans that their raps were in cap. As much as these rappers are fueled by the fans, I can’t solely blame the artist or the fans for this, as this entire culture of deaf music and beefing for the public was manufactured and fueled by the record labels. These record labels took the worst parts of hip hop and amplified them, making it the most popular parts of the culture. Those who own these labels have been strategically signing more gangster rappers while avoiding conscious rappers.
They spent hundreds of millions of dollars marketing gangster rappers and rewarding their behavior. Leading to the demise of an entire generation, they promoted gangster rap until it became its final form, drill music, which was the result of years of their agenda. Kids are now literally throwing away their lives for this record they can use to fuel a rap career. A rap career that’s paid for by the record labels. While the fans and the rappers are a part of the problem, they are both manipulated by the same people. The men who profit from it all and enrich themselves off death and pain of others.
All of these men were tricked into throwing away their lives and influenced many other young men to do the same. While these industry executives monetized every moment of it, it’s time we wake up. It’s time we only push those who positively shape the community, not the puppet rappers who sold out to destroy it. We must be the change the culture needs. We have to show the music industry that the manipulation is over. We no longer will allow them to destroy us. Well, I’ma end this one here. I wanna thank you all for watching and I’ll see you guys in the next one.
Peace out. Bye. [tr:trw].
