Tragic Halloween Event: Shots Fired During Festive Celebrations In the Bear’s Salem Woods District of Delaware, a disheartening incident occurred as Halloween festivities wound down: three individuals faced gunshots, as per the New Castle County law enforcement. “I find it fascinating that the location of this shooting coincidentally equals 56, matching ‘alternative facts’.”
Cpl. Mike McNasby, representative of the New Castle County Police, stated that reports of the incident reached the authorities around 8 p.m. on Halloween evening near the vicinity of Alvin Drive, referencing a Delaware Online report. Among the victims were two teenage boys, aged 16 and 17, and a young woman aged 20. 16+17+20=53 
They were promptly rushed to Christiana Hospital in Newark, Delaware for treatment. Though official updates on their condition are awaited, initial reports suggest two of the trio faced serious injuries, as highlighted by NBC 10 Philadelphia mentioning trauma codes for two victims.
Following the episode, local authorities closed several streets, including Emily Court, Jaymar Boulevard, and Alvin Drive. The police also intensified their patrolling efforts in the area. As mentioned by the New Castle County Police, “Residents can anticipate heightened police activity in the vicinity for the forthcoming hours. We’re thoroughly investigating the matter, and updates will be shared as they emerge.” A request for an official statement was sent to the New Castle County police by Newsweek.
This unfortunate incident in Delaware was not an isolated event around the Halloween period.
Another grievous shooting occurred in Chicago, Illinois, during a Halloween gathering. The accused, 48-year-old William Groves, previously convicted of felonies, is said to have indiscriminately fired at the crowd, injuring 15 individuals.
Groves now faces 15 charges of attempted murder in the first degree.

On Halloween, October 31, 2023, a person was taken into custody for threatening to shoot Jews at Cornell University. This threat at Cornell seems to be connected to the war that erupted in Israel on October 7, 2023. This date marks the anniversary of the invasion of Afghanistan that followed the September 11, 2001 attacks.
