This has sparked a slew of videos claiming to have witnessed the man’s eyes wink from side to side, and even a false video from 2022 claiming to capture the event. But what caused this story to go viral, and why are so many conspiracy theories about reptilian humanoids living among us? The idea of reptilian humanoids living amongst us dates back to the earliest recorded history. The Sumerian texts, the oldest official writings on Earth, describe a reptilian race that genetically modified human beings with their own reptilian DNA. This idea can also be found in all three of the Abrahamic religions, with descriptions of a reptilian race of humanoids living amongst us.

However, the modern version of the reptilian conspiracy theory gained popularity thanks to the late-night radio show host, Art Bell. In the 1990s, Bell began discussing the idea of a race of shapeshifting reptilian humanoids who controlled the world’s governments and financial systems. However, in early Christian Gnostic writings, there is talk of a race of creatures known as the Archons. Described as a reptilian humanoid, these Archons fed off of humans, including negative human emotions such as fear and anger.

The Qur’an also has stories describing reptilian creatures living among us known as the Jinn. These creatures are similar to the Archons in their feeding habits. They also have similar physical characteristics, such as being described as reptilian or serpentine.

The Australian Aboriginal people have traditions and paintings that date back thousands of years. These depict a Rainbow Serpent creator God. The Aztec/Mayan Serpent Gods Kukulkan and Quetzalcoatl are also described as Rainbow Serpents and were believed to have created humans using their own DNA. Many royal bloodlines have also claimed to be descendants of these serpent gods. Alexander the Great of Macedon, Emperor Jimmu of Japan, and the dragon dynasty of Media, now known as Iran, are just some examples.
